Worst A&E in London. The security guy ak "sheriff" He was aggressive towards me because I ask me I I could go in with my wife and very sick toddler. He start using his bodycam and myself my camera and he tried to take my phone. I've never experienced something like that I did my report in two departments SIA and other one. Pretty sure he don't even have a valid license and he didn't want to identify himself. He get mad when I started filming him and being aggressive. Worst service to patients in London. Waiting from 1pm to 7pm. Everyone should know you can record when they are aggressive to you. Shame on you st George hospital.

Not impressed. I have a blood clot on my brain and in my internal jugular vein. Thyroid toxicosis. Double vision dizziness and fatigue. Vertigo. I lose balance and my left leg is weak. I get weak walking due to thyroid. I went a&e Had to wait for security to let me into the entrance. He was rude and abrubt. Told me I wasn't allowed my carer in with me of which I needed. Was told to see reception then she could come in. Went to the window checked in. And the receptionist was awful I said can my carer come in now. She said what for. I say because I need her. I have problems thinking on the spot. And forget things alot and my brain goes blank. She said no. I said but I need her she says I'm not going to argue. The security guard appears behind me. I ended up saying I'm going to another hospital. Waste of time there now. They used to be amazing and I love the Richmond unit. But people do not deserve this treatment.

Horrible experience. Waiting over 12 hours from 2pm until…. (Now is 2am)!!! To get antibiotics with no food and drink!! And seems nobody cares about you and forget about you. It’s so busy that it’s not that “urgent” for them, then you can stay waiting long time. Incredible. NHS is becoming rubbish.

If I could leave zero star I would. An African security guard at the gate of A & E called Sheriff thinks that he owns the hospital. He has rude, pathetic and inhuman behaviour. My mum is disabled and was on a wheelchair. He asked to park her in the corner and stay behind! I explained that she needs assistance but he wasn't having it. As I was waiting I saw a man coming on a wheelchair with another women. This time he let her in, without asking any question as she was same ethnicity as him. I questioned him that why did he let her in and not me but he had no obvious answer and kept asking me to complain if I wasn't happy. I then went to the security manager who wasn't any help either. My mother was all alone in agony. She needed water and blanket which she had to wait for atleat 30 minutes. My mother did witness the hospital staff dropping a women off her wheelchair which is heart breaking. Family and carers are there to help out not to be kicked out. NHS should be recruiting decent people as this cruel man was treating people like a jailer. I also saw a woman crying because of this aggressive man!

The security guard at the door had a very dismissive tone. The appointment 111 gave me was disregarded. When I was seen at the desk by the nurses, it was a very uncaring and impersonal experience. Not somewhere you want to go when feeling unwell. Incredibly long wait time.

Children’s a&e let us down. Very disappointed. Once we left the waiting room area, and we’re admitted to the bed bays I discovered that the staff spent most of the time having conversations about their private lives and activities. Failed to pick up on my child’s issue and did the bare minimum to find out what the problem was. However, when visiting another a&e department for a second opinion they were able to identify the issue AND went above and beyond to investigate and managed to find out what the cause of concern / problem was. I understand the NHS are overwhelmed as always however this is not an excuse to be so unbothered about your duty of care.

What can I say. Yes, the wait time wasn’t ideal. However, did that really matter when there were more urgent people who came in who needed to be seen? I primarily interacted with the Nurse Jose, loveliest nurse who had that blood test needle in and out like a master. A fair wait (it was Saturday evening so who is shocked) but I had about five minutes with Dr Liam who, aside from putting me so at ease I felt my overdose shakes vanish whilst we interacted, he gave me a safeguard option and solid advice given then difficulty of my prescription situation. Best hospital experience in London I’ve had

Doctors, nurses and care very good. My sister was transferred here late on a Friday night after a fall down a flight of stairs. Don't know the area at all and given the situation I think the security on the door and their manner is a bit too much. I get they have a job to do but they blatantly refused to let me in to see my sister even though she was in resus on a spinal board, not to mention my panicked state. They said I'd need the nurses in charge permission to enter. So had to go back to the car and call the emergency department, ten times I called and no answer. Again I know they are busy but it's give and take on both sides. Eventually got through and they came and got me. Funny how camera crew for 24 hours in a and e were there but they don't show how difficult it is to get in or how long it takes to see a potentially dying relative do they? Aside from that big thank you to nursing and medical staff, you do a fantastic job and thank you

So I don't normally go a and e or hospital just because of how notoriously bad they are known to be. So I've been having lung issues, losing my eye sight and my body has been aching. I came in here hoping to be seen in 4 hours. Worst case scenario. So get to the entrance and I was told I couldn't bring my brother along with me. Just remember I could barely breathe and had heart pain. It took me 30 minutes to be registered. I then waited 1 hours for my blood tests. Where the nurse seemed to get offended with my messaging my boss while waiting for her. She then got the needle stuck in my arm and seemed to be agitated with what to do. I'm still bruised up 3 days after. Then finally I waited another 4/5 hours. And got nothing back. So I had to leave. Without being seen.

Doctors and nurses are amazing and compassionate but the waiting is too much...we arrived at 9.15pm and was seen at 6am. The security guy at the front is rude and aggressive. At first we got told that only the sick person could enter and I had to stay outside and wait! I waited for 2 hours before the nurse came and let me in because my son had difficulties in talking, had sore and infected troath and couldn't even swallow, I don't understand how they expect you to wait outside for so many hours in the cold standing, worried and leave the patients alone in pain. I mean we arrived at 9.15pm is that really necessary to wait for 9 hours outside without knowing what's happening to your loved ones?!?!?!?!?!

"Me and my wife, who is a final year medical student, visited A&E at St. George's Hospital due to her pregnancy-related UTI. We were met by a doctor who, instead of addressing our medical concerns promptly, seemed more interested in quizzing my wife about her medical knowledge, even though she was there as a patient. This felt highly unprofessional and inappropriate, especially in an emergency setting. To make matters worse, the doctor appeared to lack knowledge about the condition and resorted to googling the treatment options, ultimately prescribing a medication that was clearly not suitable for my wife based on her medical history. In emergency situations, patients, including medical students, come seeking timely and accurate medical attention, not to engage in medical trivia. We expect healthcare professionals to be forthright about their knowledge and capabilities and to provide proper care based on a patient's medical history. This experience has left us concerned about the professionalism and competence of the doctor we encountered, and we hope that future patients, regardless of their medical background, receive more appropriate and effective care at St. George's Hospital."

When I asked for support for my autistic daughter that was having a meltdown after had to wait for 1 hour I was told that they couldn’t do anything. The waiting time was 3 hours and I only had been there for only 1. Very disappointing. I had to leave as she was very distressed and she was not seen at all.

I was impressed. Nice and clean waiting area, polite staff. I was in and out in approximately 3 hours during which a ct scan, a blood test and meds were organised. Thank you for the great service!

The staff have to deal with so much. They are so patient and caring and really want to help people as quickly as they can. Having spent a few hours here on a Sunday night I have nothing but huge respect and admiration for the job they all do.

Super polite and helpful staff. I waited 60 minutes and got very good care. From security, receptionist to the practitioner, everyone was very nice. The practitioner explained everything and dealt with my problem very efficiently. They made me feel very safe all the way.

Top doctors - yes you have to wait for several hours but that is the norm in A&E. Despite that, they are well organised and far more competent than other local hospitals. I came here on the advice of my doctor after being misdiagnosed at St Helier.

I had great treatment at A&E (broken toe) really friendly staff and (considering it was a strike day) was in and out in just under 3 hours which I thought was amazing. Everyone from the porters to the nurses on reception, the x-ray dept staff and the doctors were all great. Thank you x

Two stars because the staff are struggling in this current time with the NHS. But I really question their policies on people under certain schemes in mental health services. It is often known that a mental health history doesn’t preclude physical illness. I think that this is not a singular example of an A&E in London. But I do think there is a wider issue here. This hospital is a foundation NHS hospital and I think they should try to be a protagonist and set an example. I have been treated … Like a problem let’s say. I think a foundation NHS trust hospital should be the one setting an example given their funding is better. I think a a significant minority of staff really do try but the system is cracking and this hospital is representative.

Pathetic . This is funny play where GP sends patients to A and E and A and E sends back to GP - blames each other ( sadly patient gets treated no where properly) . GP thought that patient should be taken in A&E , But A &E staff was busy chatting for hours while queued 20 kids were crying . After wasting 4 hours also , A&E didn’t Check well and sent back , Absolutely mismanagement of overstaffed girls and leading to inconvenience to patients . I am loosing all respect for medical profession here. Hopeless situation with over staffing and huge NI monthly contribution ; mismanaged staff .

Had appointment to see a Mr Day Unfortunately he was running late no fault on his side It would appear they don't give him enough time between patients Fifteen minutes for each patient is not long enough When he is dealing with patients with a lot of problems He is a very nice man to deal with and he will listen to what you have to say After all we live with our bodies everyday So he is interested in how you feel and listen I felt for him as he was running about two hours later became he wants to give his patients time and is not in a hurry to get you out the door
