Where to start… My kids (7 and 9) and husband have been training with Carl at CJMA since July 21. Having seen how much enjoyment they all got from it in their own ways I started to feel like I was missing out. The reasons we wanted the kids to come to CJMA was to gain physical confidence and control whilst having lots of fun. Turns out the benefit of all these things knows no age limit! It was time to for me to do more than just YouTube home workouts… I decided to give it a go myself and was hooked (excuse the pun) from the first session. It felt great to be learning a new skill, in real life away from all the work zoom calls, with a group of friendly and fierce women. So now we are a full family set of CJMA tribe members and that feels brilliant. It’s become a real positive driving force for our family and I would recommend other women and families give it a try together too. It’s not intimidating at all and Carl’s expert teaching is for all levels. There are options for wherever you’re at, be that total beginner or highly experienced. Plus once you know how good punching or kicking a pad really hard feels….you know..! Try it, you won’t regret it.

A really great group of women and a fantastic instructor. I was nervous going in but love the classes and how Carl focuses not just on the martial arts aspect but also building confidence. Showing us how through just stance or eye contact we can take control.

Carl’s class is a great start to my week. It’s a great mixture of learning a new skill whilst helping to boost fitness levels. Would highly recommend if you wanted to try something different. No experience necessary.

Carl is a fantastic teacher and has created a really positive and welcoming space. Historically I have really hated exercising in front of others and always feel very uncoordinated, but I love these classes!

I've been coming to these classes for just over a year now and have been loving it! I found CJMA when looking for an exercise class which would allow me to learn a new skill while exercising, and these classes do just that. Carl is a really supportive instructor and encourages you to do what you can on the day of the class (without pressure to always be on top form), which makes is easier to enjoy and get more from each class. The vibe in the classes is aways great and I've made friends through coming, which is a bonus! Would definitely encourage other women to come along :)

Love it. Carl is very knowledgeable and great teacher. Learning great techniques for self defence. Would recommend for any young or older ladies wanting to learn how to protect themselves while having fun and improving fitness.

Fantastic club to be a part of. I joined on a little bit of a whim having never done any form of fighting before, and it's been such a brilliant process so far. Carl provides so much expertise and also opportunities to advance in your training. The team are so much fun to work with and Carl is a brilliant teacher. Usually I hate mornings, but my 10am classes are now completely non-negotiable.

I’ve been training with Carl at CJMA for almost four years now, and in that time I have gained skills that I know will stick with for the rest of my life. From my first class as a young girl to the person I am now, the classes have provided such a safe community to learn. They have given me the best gift I could ask for; I no longer feel as if I would be powerless should a dangerous scenario present itself to me. Carl’s lessons have taught me my own strength but also how to be patient with and confident in my abilities. I am so thankful for this club!

I joined as a complete beginner (was never the sporty type) to this class and was welcomed from the start. Really positive non-competitive atmosphere and Carl is a patient and dedicated teacher.

I am not great at exercising, but I’ve been going to Carl’s classes for a year now and i can genuinely say I look forward to it every week. It’s a really positive and welcoming atmosphere, plus the classes have the right balance of technique and fitness. Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to the women’s only class for over 2 years and in that time I have really improved my skills and strength. Carl is a fantastic teacher and knows how to get the best out of people. The classes are really friendly and allow you to work hard, learn new skills whilst having fun.

Cannot recommend this class enough for anyone interested in a fun, engaging, interesting way to exercise! Carl is a great teacher, a true expert! This is so much more than just kick-boxing- you learn all sorts! Along with this there’s a real community feel between the women who attend and I know I’ve made lots of lovely friends since attending :)

Great class with excellent instructor! The class is a good balance of exercise, learning a new skill, and self-defence. The Saturday class is really diverse, with women of all ages and abilities taking part. The philosophy of 'rising together' made it less nerve-wracking for me when I started. I've now been attending for almost two years, have learnt lots and have had fun doing it. Highly recommended!

👍👍 So I joined London Fight Factory, end of 2018. Best decision of my life. Not going to say you don’t have to put the effort in. Not in the sense of motivation, but discipline, being consistent. I have failed a lot, but learn more. Also, LFF coaches developed me into taking onboard criticism to develo...
