First time here, we ordered nachos and we got home and found a lid melted inside. We missed a burrito and it is a lesson learned for us to always check our order in the future. I do not recommend this place.

Waited almost an hour for two burritos and some nachos. It wasn't busy. The workers making the food moved at a snail's pace. Plus they were complaining about their jobs and badmouthing the cashier. I understand it's fast food and it isn't a great job but I don't need to hear your personal life when I'm overpaying for burritos and some lousy nachos. While I was waiting for my food, I saw the cashier put a salad on the counter with no lid and as she was putting a lid on it, a fly flew in the salad container! No one noticed! It was so gross. The counter was dirty with food. Plus they told a guy that they didn't have chicken but clearly they were cooking more. So I didn't understand why they didn't offer the customer to wait for more chicken. They just said that he couldn't order it. He wasn't happy. He said that he only ordered chicken there and no one had good enough customer service to suggest another better option. Another guy came in to pick up a catering order and the worker who saw him, asked him what his name was, figured out he had a catering order and walked away without helping him. They just let the cashier help him without telling him that he had to wait for the cashier to help him. That's terrible service. With the prices they charge here, it's not worth it. Couldn't wait to get out of there. The food wasn't better. The nachos didn't taste good. Combination of the beans, cheese and tortilla chip tasted oddly dry. The steak in the burritos had a weird fishy after taste. Plus it was pretty fatty and poor quality. I would not recommend this place. Overpriced, dirty, bad customer service and terrible food. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I ordered a fish burrito and nachos with steak. They put black beans in when I asked for pinto and the nachos were inedible. It was a brick of cold cheese and stale chips. I couldn’t eat it at all. The guacamole was off as well. Tasted old or just rotten? It wasn’t good. Def wouldn’t order from this location again. The only thing good was the soda and salsa. I’m sorry but just all bad.

Not as good as usual. The food was good, but appeared thrown together. Very sloppy presentation. We ordered tacos and the sauce actually peeled away from the tortillas. And the side of beans were cold and stuck to the container. It tasted good though....

The California Bowl is tasty. Every portion of the meal tastes good by itself (aside from the sauce on the side). I don't find the sauce on the side necessary as it seems to dull the taste of the other ingredients, to me. Customer service is good, and the establishment takes Samsung Pay.

I’m giving 2 stars and not 1 only because the food usually tastes really good here, but there is ALWAYS something wrong with my order every single time I order pickup. Today I ordered a Bowl and as I was eating I found the avocado STICKER INSIDE my bowl in my guacamole! That’s so gross! I know people make mistakes but come on! On top of that the beans which are usually really good had zero seasoning or flavor. I picked up my order and didn’t bother going back since I had already gotten home. I realize these employees probably don’t get paid much but the kids they hire clearly don’t put effort into their jobs to make orders right and make sure the food is SANITARY! I’ve come back many times because I usually love the taste of the food despite my orders always having something wrong. But, after this I’ve lost faith in this staff and their cleanliness! Totally unacceptable.

Zero shrimp in the not inexpensive shrimp and bacon burrito. Ordered curbside service. Food was left inside restaurant to get cold while we were waiting in designated curbside pickup parking. Disappointing experience overall.

Ordered online food took forever very slow service and very small portions paid for extra stuff and they forgot to add it to my plate yet charged me for the items

If you going to order delivery DONT. They will not giving you any condiments. Ordered thru ubereats did not get any of my sauces.

Delicious Fish Tacos served with excellent customer service. Very spacious indoor seating. Love it! 🌮

Food was amazing! Very little wait time. Cris is extremely nice. Only bad thing was, they didn't have any Raspberry Tea!

First visit after waiting awhile for the food once I made it home, it was cold. It was only the steak items that were very cold. The chicken was just a little cooler than expected for takeout. I only live 3 minutes away. I called, and they offered to remake the food. I return 2 days later for my remake. Great, they honored the request. Again, I waited a while, traveled my 3 minutes, and when I got home, the steak was a expected temp for takeout. However, the chicken was cold. I'm confused. I opted not to call for a remake. I just decided I won't return. Customer service was good. The first visit, the floor, was very sticky at the register. That was strange. You expect that near the drinks, but every place I walked out was sticky. The second visit it was better.

In less than 1 hour, the people at the counter messed up our order TWICE The first time, they gave us the tacos we ordered with flour tortillas,which we don't eat. Also, the tacos were smothered with a spicy sauce we clearly said "No" to, due to a health condition. Next, they gave us two very tiny over cooked chicken taquitos, they were burnt and one of them was pretty much in pieces, with a very shameful amount of chicken inside. We went back and reported the errors to the manager. There was no apology... the manager actually defended the food we had received. We got our new meal, the rice alongside our tacos was practically raw, and they had given us our tacos with flour tortillas, again! The chicken taquitos had an excess of cheese, but since we were so hungry, we just dealt with it.They could also work on improving customer service too... if someone has to come back because the order was messed up - that is a big deal and extra effort should be made to make things right

In my search for a great fish taco, I ordered two grilled Mahi Mahi tacos. My wife ordered the combo. The tacos have a generous serving of fish, and the tortillas are fresh. I wasn't thrilled with the sauce, but it's good. I will be back.

Delicious food, great service, and a clean atmosphere make for a very enjoyable experience. I will be coming back.

I always go passed my neighborhood's Rubio to go to this one. Always plenty of parking, customer service is very nice. The food is great.

I absolutely love their classic chicken tacos. The sauce is saucing. The staff is cool. I do also like that the parking lot is chill. So if you have anxiety like me, this is a big plus.

Wow, this place is delicious I was so impressed with the bowl and salsas they make daily. These salsas are flavorful and mouth licking good. I had the new Oaxacan Shrimp Bowl and I loved it with white rice, black beans, lettuce, guacamole, and shrimp.

The bowls we ordered were great but for the price the servings were meager. It would have been nice if they were filled more than halfway. I had the bowl with grilled veggies & quinoa and there very few veggies. Sorry but I was disappointed in Rubio's in Lakewood.

It's been many years since I've eaten here. Decided to stop in to pick up some dinner on the way home. I ordered the coastal trio which was 1 batteref fish taco, 1 shrimp taco and 1 mahi taco. I like ttgat the to go boxes keep the tacos upright too. Makes it easy to eat. I will be back again!

This is my favorite Rubio's in So Cal. I drive out of my way to come to this location. They consistently give good sized portions. I've never had a negative customer service experience. In fact, all the staff are so nice and hospitable. It's a popular location so sometimes there's a bit of a wait. But good things come to those who wait. The food is well prepared and packaged. Can't beat the prices or professionalism.
