Had lunch at Kottaram yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was so many options to choose from (plenty of vegetarian food options too!) and the service was fantastic. I opted for the lunch special (three different curries) and was really impressed with the quality and food portion size - it was fantastic value for money. If you’re looking for tasty Indian food in Nottingham I’d highly recommend Kottaram.

One of the best authentic kitchens in Nottingham. Everything we ate tasted really good. Would definitely visit again. The staff is so friendly and a great ambience too. A big menu with a great variety of items and prices are reasonable. I celebrated my birthday here. They really made every effort to make it memorable. A big 'Thank you' to the management.

I arrived without a reservation but the owner, without hesitation, very quickly accomodated me; even though the restaurant was a flurry of activity. Honestly the service was outstanding with chef not dissapointing at all. The scallops as a starter set the tone for a fabulous meal that followed. The whole evening went superbly even though every table was occupied. Every patron was having a thoroughbly enjoyable dinner.

Kottaram.. was the perfect place for a birthday celebration. We booked the table online for 13th October 2023. Though we reached ahead of time, we were welcomed and provided a table. The ambience is beautiful and welcoming. The lighting’s are just perfect for a awesome evening. Every detail has been taken care off including the menu. The design of the menu is perfect to create and appetite. We ordered for a drink and chilli chicken as a started and Tandoor roti to go with the Tikka Masala. Good taste and quantity for 2 persons with a good appetite. Finally a good taste to add to the memories of the day.

My experience has been the best. The food was really good. After a year, I finally had authentic Kerala food. I tried the beef kizhi and it was perfect. Thanks for the chai :)

Great service in this restaurant. The food was delicious and the only reason this didn't get 5 stars was down to the prawns. They were just ok but the mains were delicious. Definitely worth a visit!!

It is rare for me to give a 5 star review across the board for a restaurant in Nottingham City and on my first visit. I can't fault the service, food, and welcome of Kottaram. Eating between 5pm and 7.45 will gain a 20% discount, provided you each have a starter and a main course. I can highly recommend our starters; tandoori mango prawns, or lamb chops, and chicken lollipops (spicy). The team also kindly provided our daughter a slice of cheesecake, played, and sang Happy Birthday to her. It's a nice touch. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food. There is also a separate function room above, which may be hired and seats a max of 45 to 50 people. This has its own bar and music and can be fully catered. Would recommend. £95 for 3 starters, 3 mains, and a bottle of prosecco.

In addition to the food being flavourful and delicious, the service was fantastic. I had made an order but then switched to order to something else. I obviously must have not communicated well that I no longer wanted that original order, and it arrived in addition to the rest of the food. I emphasised over and over that it was my mistake and I was happy to just pay for it and take it as takeaway, but they kindly didn’t charge me and took it away. Really appreciated how understanding they were, made the visit even better. Absolutely would come back!!! Amazing food, amazing service.

Visited as a group of 9, with a very mixed set of tastes for curry, from the basic 'english' curry to seasoned curry connoisseurs expecting authentic regional dishes. No-one was disappointed. The food was great, and the staff were friendly and happy to engage in a bit of banter. One dish was brought out incorrectly, but that was rectified extremely quickly, with the incorrect dish offered to the table on the house (I don't think anyone was going to turn that down). I struggle to rate atmosphere, as I tend to think that is largely driven by the company you keep, but the location and staff interaction was conducive to a fun evening for all.

Visited this restaurant today. For me, this is best Indian restaurant in Nottingham. Ordered Trio chicken platter, garlic naan,chicken Rogan josh and thalassery Lamb biryani. The lamb biryani is highlight. Very nice ambience. Can be visited with family and friends. Must visit place if you want some good indian food. Service is very nice and staff are very friendly. Will sure visit again.

The service was amazing and so was the food honestly will come again. The portions are a really good size didn’t know so I was so full by the end of it. The prices are pretty decent too it’s not expensive for what you get.

Amazing food from start to finish! We visited after hearing great things and the service from start to finish was exceptional. I booked online, received a text on the day to double check the booking and then a follow up text afterwards thanking us for the visit. The staff were extremely attentive, doing stuff for us before we'd thought about it and the food was so unique and had such great flavours including the chutneys for the popadoms which tasted far better than anywhere I've been. (I'd buy some to take away if could!) The only bad point was that I was too full to finish everything but its well priced for the portions and quality of the food. We'll be back again soon. Thanks!

Been in the food industry for over 20 years and the lamb chops here are amazing…….. had the first bite and it was like wow forgot everything else just let my taste buds have a feast of flavours…never had that feeling when dining in an Indian in the U.K….. must try your taste buds will def thank you.

Came here for our anniversary, as we had been gifted a 2 course meal as a gift. I didn't find that there was much for vegan diners. Most items if not containing meat had milk or eggs. I didn't particularly enjoy what I ordered for the main. The service was okay, considering it was quite empty. The decor was a bit mismatched. I wouldn't return.

Best Indian food I’ve had in a while. Service was exceptional and friendly and the dishes were amazing and complex. We had the seafood starter, mixed seafood curry and bamboo biryani - all 5* with meats / fish cooked to perfection.

What an excellent find! Awesome, Authentic Indian food with Great Hospitality! Check out the images and videos for food. We had Chicken chilli, Kerala chicken curry which goes well with malabar paratha along with Bamboo biryani. Ending meal with perfect dessert Gulab jamun and jamun.
