It's a really nice place to walk around, it's peaceful and relaxing. There is a cafe for drinks and snacks and a mobile coffee van too, the latter sells some fantastic brownies, cakes and savoury pastries, the coffee and hot chocolate isn't bad either! We like to stroll around and feed the birds and squirrels; it's a very satisfying thing to do. We go several times a week, and we'd never be bored of it.

Great park to visit. Plenty to do, generally tidy and clean. Except for the toilets really which could do with a bit of investment to bring them up to standard. And maybe a fence system to keep all the ducks and geese from going on the grassed area, just seems to be bored poo everywhere, more that there ever has been. Other than that generally a good place to go.

We love this park. A great walk around the boating lake with lots of interesting things to see to keep the children engaged (trees to climb, bridges, etc). Lots of wonderful birds and wildlife to spot. A good sized play area, toilets and a cafe as well. Parking is free but there isn't a huge amount of space so it can be hard to find a space when it's busy.

I visit here regularly to do the bulk of my walking exercise. At around 1.22 miles per lap of the lake, it's a nice size for it.

A lovely, beautiful and peaceful park to take the family! Nice walk around the lake, across the stepping stones. Fun on the playground, and at the craft workshops.Lakeside Arts Centre and Theatre, mini golf But nobody observing social distancing, no "keep left and right" policy on the two way paths. Massive queue for a ice cream. Had to use the toilets, which were no better than the elephant house, absolutely stank awful, didn't flush, filth all over the floors.

First time we have visited, was advised parking can be difficult so made the journey on the tram which was perfect as drop off is right outside the park. Lovely walk around the lake, very picturesque. Only thing that let's it down is the state of the toilets

Very nice visit. Sat out on the cafe terrace overlooking the boating lake having a lovely coffee and fruit scone, cream and jam. TBH one of the nicest scones have had for a long time. Nice paths to walk around the university grounds. Seating here and there. Boating lake... lots of fun. Crazy golf and adventure playground. Lots of nice places for picnics and family time. Parking available.

Beautiful location, If you looking for an area to while away a good number of hours and you are unsure where to go here is a good choice Being local I've searched out a good number of walking locations, so decided to give this one a go And it was well worth it, the location is very popular and easy to get to given the tram stop right near Within the overall grounds of the university, this location boasts, a kid's park, mini-golf, bowls, the boating lake and plenty to walk around and see The boating lake will be my next try couldn't this time round given we were pushing a wheelchair it's Β£6 per Adult and Β£5 per child for one hour poss a little pricy but looks good fun If you have the chance I would give it a go and have a good walk around the lake there are many pretty spots and areas to have a picnic, We decided to stop near the top end of the lake where you could buy food and the odd ice cream

Went to Highfields Park with my friends and daughter on a beautiful day, the picture iv got are stunning as the scenery is gorgeous...very busy children's play area has very little shade though so if you're fair skinned I would wear a hat or suncream. Toilets are available though kinda smelly if I'm honest, ice-cream van on site too and a cafe. The boating lake is idyllic, you can either feed the geese , hire a boat or just walk around it.

We love it here, lovely walks around the lake and we get to feed the ducks and other wildlife. My grandson loves the park even though some parts are a little old or broken. We use the theatre quite often again with my 5 year old grandson and have watched some great shows/plays there.
