First time back in 25 years. Love their salsa but our meals were a big let down. The chile relleno was burnt to a crisp, the shredded beef burrito was awesome but it was actually cold! Would have sent it back but it took forever for our food to come and I did not want to wait any longer. Soooooo many other choices for great Mexican food in Albuquerque.

This restaurant is really popular here in Albuquerque for sure. Parking lot was full on Friday evening. Beautiful ambiance with lots of energy place. All of us had three different dinner entrees and all of us thought it was a bit too spicy including salsa. Though brisket enchiladas were really good. Our waitress was great and very friendly. Great portion sizes. Would I come back or crave their food again? Probably not.

Today is our 22nd anniversary! Since we have been together we have been eating at Sadie's. It was nice to eat at the 4th st location. Great memories! The wait staff was polite. The food was great! Our table was clean and ready to go when we were seated. The margaritas were good as well. Tonight was nice.

So beware the salsa! Is hot as can be but soooo tasty you can't stop. The salsa con queso is to die for. Wife got the breakfast burrito and I got a beef burrito. When informed of my poultry allergy they went above and beyond to make my dining experience safe. Portions are huge. Nick was an awesome server.

The meal was fantastic!! My husband recommended this place. He hadn't been here in over 25 years and he said it was as good as it's always been

Disclaimer: Although this is a rather late review, I doubt it isn't still applicable. We ate here 25 June 2023; it wasn't my first time, as I remember going to this location (the only one at the time) several times as a kid and at least once when I was a new adult, but it was my significant other's first time, ever. I have been to another location in the past, but that was at least ten years ago and it was definitely not what I remember Sadie's to be; sadly, this most recent visit to the original location was not what I remembered, either. It mostly looked the same, which was nice and brought back memories for me... but it's still so different, between the people working there and the way things are run now. However, that wasn't my biggest issue with Sadie's - the food is definitely not the same, and it's so expensive for such low-quality. We weren't impressed by any of it, though the taquitos were decent enough, but the rest (especially the sopapillas) were awful. It also messed up our stomachs later, which was an even bigger reason we won't be returning. The server we had... he tried, he really did. He was clearly having a hard time keeping up with everything and wasn't finding things easily on the electronic device he was using to take our order (what happened to good ol' pen and paper?), but he was also gone for long stretches of time when he was supposed to return with things and often forgot things he was supposed to bring. We didn't ask for much, but what we did ask for, was a struggle to get. It wasn't a pleasant visit, and considering it was a couple of months ago, I didn't expect to still be annoyed by it all... but that's what I've experienced while writing this review. We won't be returning, and that's a shame; I used to be all about Sadie's, so long ago, and now I'm just so disappointed in it. I get that things change with the times, but when they aren't GOOD changes, that's a problem. It is beyond my understanding how there are so many good reviews. It seems people will eat anything and pretend it's of decent quality, just to stay loyal to their precious state.

Pretty good little place, portion size was huge! It was pretty busy when we went for dinner, but our waitress was attentive and friendly. The salsa is HOT and the chips are good. I got the nachos and enjoyed them. The fried peppers were also good!

Had the burrito. Just ok. Reminded me of the ground beef Mccormick season packet tacos growing up. Salsa was great.

5⭐️’s for EVERYTHING!!!!!! 10⭐️’s FOR DESIREE!!!!!!!!!!! EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!!!! Thank you Desiree for an OUTSTANDING dining experience!!! Sadie’s of New Mexico is BEYOND FABULOUS!!!!!!! If you ever need a perfectly delicious southwest style Mexican meal, Sadie’s is you place! Fantastic employees elevated this locally famous joint to the top tier of a pretty competitive Albuquerque dining scene! Mango margaritas, beef brisket enchiladas, perfectilicious guac, scrumptious salsa, fluffalicios sopapillas and the festive environment provided EXACTLY the taste of New Mexico we sought out.

Sadie’s was recommended to us by the front desk at the hotel we were staying at for the night. Glad she did! Service was excellent and there was no wait for our party of 3. Our server, I forget her name, was amazing too. She was very friendly and attentive! I ordered the combination special with three items: 2 chicken enchiladas and 1 Chile relleno. All in green sauce (which actually looks red) lol. The order comes with papitas and beans. My mom and dad both ordered the chile relleno plate. The portion was huge, but we all enjoyed our meals. My mom and I both tried the prickly pear margarita, which was delicious. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

Now this place is great! And surprisingly cost effective. I wanted some real authentic Mexican food and a few colleagues recommended this place so I tried it for dinner. I sat at the bar because it was so busy. Very pleasant atmosphere and staff. I’d recommend trying this place if you haven’t already! Great job Sadie’s Team!

Best Mexican food! 🤤 Went for lunch, had the #1 lunch combo. It included a taco and enchilada (chicken or beef), chili relleno, potatoes and beans with your choice of chili! Even comes with an ice tea and sopapillas for under $12 bucks! Food was fresh, chili was hot…just how I like it!

We love our bartenders at Sadie’s on 4th. The queso is the best. The new Biscochito martini is so good. Always a great experience!

Group of 17, adults and kids. Lauren did a phenomenal job getting orders in and out, extras brought to table, and overall great service for 1 server. We did late lunch while somewhat slow. Sopapillas, fries, burgers, taquitos, soup, enchiladas, tacos and more, all fresh and made correctly. Chunky hot sauce and fresh chips. Would go here again.

A must try local spot. They give you plenty of food so be prepared to take home leftovers. They serve a big basket of chips and salsa. The nachos are huge, even for the “small” order so plenty to share. The quesadilla is also a large serving and can easily feed two people. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Atmosphere is nice and welcoming. There is a nice bar area and if you would like to take some souvenirs home, they have a small shop where you can pickup jars of salsa, chips and other goodies.

Food was delicious and both the red & green chilé was perfectly hot. Tried the fried green chile strips and loved them! Everything we ordered was delicious and all the staff was helpful and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

Celebrated my birthday at Sadies. Had dinner at the bar. Bartender was attentive without being intrusive. Food was excellent. Shredded beef tacos! Great big tacos! Huge plate. Plenty left over for a second go around. Perfect choice for my birthday fun.

Our first experience at Sadie’s (orig location) was ok. We got there about 4:30pm on a Sunday evening & waited 30 min for a table. Our waiter was ok but seemed very confused during each verbal exchange we had. Chips & salsa were good. We both ordered chicken tacos. Mine came out and were beef. Had to wait 10-15 min for my order to be corrected.Because of this, it appears they don’t have a process in place for order corrections to be expedited. The tacos were good but nothing out of the ordinary. From our experience, Sadie’s did not live up to the reputation it has in Albuquerque.

What an amazing example of the warm culture of New Mexico! Met with smiles, strong margaritas and warm food! Drinks are pricey but totally worth it! Wonderful atmosphere for family or for a rowdy night out with friends!

Amazing Mexican food here. Wait time is very high as I went on during thanks giving holiday weekend. Ambience and service is very good. The waitress explained everything in detailed. Worth the wait

Always a wonderful time. Most recently we tried some new dishes on the menu at the recommendation of the server and we were not disappointed. Everything on the menu is worth tryinf! Very good portion sizes. The salsa has a kick. Yummy and creative adult drinks.

We really enjoy the quality of food served here. The red chili flavor is fantastic. The stacked enchiladas served with pinto beans and potatoes is outstanding.

Waited 45 mins, so when i went to ask about our seat they blamed us for not paying attention then they blamed the buzzer...but Not Once did they take accountability for not seating us in a timely manner. After we got seated there was another table complaining about the lack of service, which made us want to leave if we weren't so hungry! Food was OK, nothing you couldn't get anywhere else in NM. Service was the same, everyone working was under the age of 18 and by the attention they give definitely under paid to care! Wont be back, lots of better places to eat.

Came here after wine tasting nearby. So glad that we did! Surprised to see it so busy on a Tuesday night but we didn't have to wait too long for a table. Best New Mexican restaurant we've tried thus far. The complementary chips and salsa are super addictive: the chips are warm and crispy and the salsa is fresh and spicy - definitely not for the faint of heart. We ordered the combo w/ tamale, rib, and carne adovada and the stuffed sopaipilla w/ chicharrones and beans to share so that we could try a bit of everything (we requested that both be easy on the cheese which was def the right call for those from out-of-state). The tamale had a nice smokiness, the rib and carne adovada were tender, the sopaipilla pillowy, and the chicharrones and refried beans were wonderfully savory. Plus, the portions are huge! That being said, the star of our meal was definitely our server Miriam. She was so kind, friendly, and attentive. She made great recommendations, offered us a sample of the chicharrones when we were indecisive of what stuffing to go with, and always made sure our chips, salsa, and drinks were never empty. And, even before we asked, she brought us to-go containers "just in case." Definitely a place worth eating at when you're visiting Albuquerque. Be sure to ask for Miriam.
