I just left the Seek & Find store on Preston. I have to say, I am not a happy customer. I had picked out a nutcracker to buy and left it at the counter, greeted the owner, went about my shopping. Went into the next room where I discovered a plethora of some of the most offensive, racist garbage I have ever seen. Knock knacks of African Americans made to look like monkeys, with extreme exaggerated lips (classic racist mammy BS), others of black children bound and naked. It was appalling. I immediately grabbed one of the items, took it to the owner and informed him I would not be spending my money in an establishment that aimed to make money from blatant racism. To make matters worse, there was an African American gentleman there shopping. About to spend his hard earned money on this ridiculous establishment that so obviously holds no respect or regard for his comfort while shopping or existence in general. As I was leaving, I saw the man walk out empty handed. I'm glad at least he knows he lost both of our money today. Racists aren't welcome here sir!

Nice store. Great variety and prices are quite reasonable. Had good conversation with the owner as well! Refreshing during these pandemic times.

Lots of neat stuff everywhere you look. You spend an hour or two looking around and probably not "see" everything.

Heads up for those looking for thrift stores- this is more of an antique store. Not a fan. Passive aggressive signs everywhere (don’t touch, no food or water, you’re on camera so don’t steal, pics of people who have stolen before, you’re being watched etc.) Just weird vibes. Go to Shop of Found Things down the road instead.

Amazing finds and such good prices. Too many nice things to list but I loved the armoirs, kitchen items and really reasonably priced decor in excellent shape. You would be hard pressed to leave empty handed.

All the people complaining about the "don't steal/move stuff around" signs makes me wonder if they've ever worked retail/customer service. The theft signs are almost all by the little jewelry pieces and the moving sign is in a basement full of breakable, organized items. It's not unreasonable, nor is it even unusual for thrift shops. On a nicer note: There are a ton of neat items! Cool boxes and furniture pieces and candlestick holders were some of my favorites. It's admittedly not as trendy as some thrift shops, however it's way more reasonably priced and not lacking in neat finds. The man at the counter was very nice and let me give his dog a treat. I would recommend for people who like decor and kitchenware and furniture.

Wouls not recommend bringing your children here Counter attendant very rude. Passive aggressive notes throughout the store, doesn't seem like they actually want to sell anything just want to display "their stuff" for you to come and see like a museum.
