I absolutely love Sandy's Pet Shop! The employees are always so friendly and helpful. My husband and I have bought quite a few of our Aquatic friends from Sandy's and have very rarely had a problem. And the rare times that I did have an issue they resolved it with no issues.

Had a amazing time in this pet shop with my grandson and husband. As a matter of fact after an hour being there, my grandson still did not want to leave. Tori was fantastic and very knowledgeable. My grandson loved her. He wanted to go back later that day to see his new friend "Tori". Had so much fun. Make sure you check out Einstein when you go. We will be back. Such very nice people work here.

Love this lil pet shop. It has everything you need for your saltwater or freshwater aquarium. Staff are very friendly and professional as well as knowledgeable about everything. They have a big collection of beautiful saltwater fish. Anyone who has a saltwater aquarium, i highly recommend this place to you as well as anyone with freshwater aquarium.

This is my favorite place to get fish and aquarium supplies/ food. The employees are incredibly knowledgeable and have never given me bad advice or incorrect information. I happily drive an hour to Louisville to come get fish from this store. I do have to deduct a star because of the prices of other animals. In addition to fish, I also keep reptiles and tarantulas. Their animals are priced much, much higher than any other place I’ve ever been to. I’m talking sometimes $100 more. Geckos of the same quality being sold for $280 here that are sold for $180 in other pet stores, and $75-$100 at reptile shows and online. Were the prices on their animals not so outrageous I would buy more than fish from here!

The best place to get your fish, plants and any aquarium supplies. The employees are so knowledgeable and super friendly. We have a 55-gallon tank. We have purchased all of our fish from Sandy's. Plus 4 Labrador retrievers love the treats

Employees are friendly and knowledgeable. This the only store in Louisville that I will buy fish from. They, also, offer a 10% veteran's discount on dry goods which I greatly appreciate!

This is the best pet store I've ever been to. Orville took time to explain salt water tank set up to me. Extremely knowledgeable and honest about what I would need and not need. The rest of the employees were super friendly. We will definitely be doing business with them in the future.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. All the animals are cute! We got our Ferret from here and he is adorable!!

They sell Dumbo rats and are very knowledgeable about all the pets they sell Pictures are rats we bought from them and they've all been healthy. 3 are going on 4 months and one we just added to the family!

This is one of the cleanest, if not the cleanest pet stores that I have ever been to. I can't remember ever seeing any dead fish in the tanks. I buy a fish and aquatic plants and have always had a good experience. Sandy's stocks exotic fish, saltwater fish and coral, and supplies you won't find anywhere else in the area. The prices here are a little higher than other places but I have had much higher success rates and it seems they have much higher quality products and better bred animals.

Nice pet shop that allows you to pet the animals. If you like fish, this is the place to go. Knowledgeable staff helped my 6 year old pick the new fish that would be compatible with our long time residents. Clean healthy animals in a fun environment. Highly recommend

I accompanied my husband here on an impromptu trip to look for fish while we were in Louisville. He was like a kid in a candy store. He loved the place! Actually told them it was the best store he's been in. The staff was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable of their inventory. It aspirated that they had a great selection of most things, but especially of coral and saltwater fish, which was what he was looking for. Little did we know that they have specials on Mondays for saltwater fish so he was on cloud 9 when we got to the register. We made the purchase a few days ago and everything looks great in our tank! I have no doubt this will be one of our regular stops each time we come to Lou.

Had a wonderful first visit at Sandy’s Pet Shop today! I had a fish/turtle tank that I was having some problems with. I’m fairly new to this and hadn’t found much help online or at big box stores, so I honestly went in not expecting much. I was wrong! I had brought a thing of water to be tested and I got Tiffany who was beyond helpful to me! Best experience with a store EVER! I had brought a notebook with some concerns or things I wanted to look at expecting to find, or try to find the answers myself. Tiffany went through every one of them with me plus much more. Some things I know I can get cheaper online, but for the service I definitely will be going back there to support this pet shop. Thanks so much Tiffany! :)

My hubby and I had to stop by bc of the wonderful reviews, and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We must have spent an hour and a half at least. So much variety and everyone here is super helpful and knowledgeable about everything PET! Next time we're in Louisville, we're definitely stopping by here again!

The employees there know alot about breeding,feeding,and health issues. Also they purchased fish from me. As a tropical fish hobbyist breeder nice to know my extras can go there and be sold to correct set ups for them...and they advise people on how to keep fish healthy. Thank you Sandys!!

The birds and the fish have more vivid coloring than any other petstore in the area. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

This is the best fish store in the area in my opinion. Most knowledgeable staff in the louisville metro area who are always available to answer questions. Have a reasonable policy of returns. Reasonable selection of fish (although I do genuinely wish that their selection becomes even wider but this is not a problem with the store itself). Aquatic plant selection is always good quality (however in my opinion they have to stock more plants and more variety of plants more often, but again not the problem of the fish store itself). In summary, in my opinion, best fish store in the area overall. I do genuinely wish they expand the number of tanks, species of fish carried and species of aquatic plants carried soon in the near future.

This was our first visit. The selection, staff expertise, and overall atmosphere were exceptional. A big box store will never be able to compete with the knowledgeable service and peace of mind that you are shopping with someone who truly cares about their animals. This is our new primary spot for all pet supplies that they offer. Definitely worth the trip across town.

Excellent pet store. I went from a 15 gallon aquarium to a 125 gallon cichlid tank. The advice and knowledge of the employees here have helped me successfully build a great aquarium that I really enjoy. From first cycling the tank to adding new fish, live plants, filtration, water testing, and more - these folks are top notch. The big box stores will never compare.

Greatest local pet shop in Louisville are in my opinion, very knowledgeable employees, and very helpful, very happy with my new piece of driftwood, and my Lg Black Marble Anglefish. Thanks you guys are awesome 👏 🐟!!!

They have all of the things! And they can order and hold specialty fish for you! Super knowledgeable and friendly staff! Amazing variety of everything you could need to build your aquarium!
