👍👍 Delicious and great portion sizes. The Ekta Biryani is full of rice and meat and flavor, the garlic naan could be smelled before ever even opening the bag, the paneer tikka is a great portion size and delicious. I’m excited to try more from here! People often mention chicken, naan, mango, lamb, great,

We ordered dinner from this place a few weeks ago and absolutely loved the food. The portions, price and tastes were well aligned. While it may be a little pricey I do feel it was worth it. We had butter chicken, naan and a mango shrimp (or chicken I forget).

This is a no frills counter service restaurant with some delicious food. "We only have paper plates if you're looking to dine in. This isn't a fine dining restaurant " joked the man behind the counter. However the food was great, we had some Naan, chicken curry with rice and the Dal Makhani. The food came out quickly and wow was it flavorful. I would definitely recommend this place for a great meal.

I've been to the fishtown location of Ekta a while ago and was surprised to hear they had opened a location in Manayunk. The Manayunk location used to be another Indian restaurant. When you walk in, you might not notice a huge difference from the previous owner, however, the food and prices have improved quite a bit imo. We decided to eat in and ordered a pair of entrees and a naan. They do not have waiter service and offer paper plates for dine in. We were given a huge amount of rice for our two entrees - more than enough. The mango lamb had a decent helping of lamb and mango. The butter chicken was amazing and, like the mango lamb, had plenty of protein. The peshwari nana was on point. I'd recommend EKta, although it is probably best to just grab takeout!

One of my favorite restaurants! The food is so delicious! The mango lamb/chicken is the best hands down.

There are no words to convey the deliciousness of this food. The tandoori chicken was moist and perfectly flavored. The tikka masala was out of this world incredible. I have nothing but rave reviews. 10 out of 10 recommend. I will definitely return. Thank you for an amazing dinner. 🥰

My husband and I just happened to be driving by and spotted this little gem. We ordered the lamb tikki masala, the lamb madras peppers. Along with garlic naan and mango chutney. Everything was delicious. Portions were great size. Loved the mango chutney. The employees were friendly. I will definitely put this place on my favorite restaurants list.

Great spot. I have ordered a variation of dishes for lunch from here for my office/team on multiple occasions. Everything is always fresh, nicely packaged and the staff is very nice. Definitely recommend.

Worst Indian food in USA. I picked up the biryani and chili chicken. It was stale, and probably cooked 4 days ago based on the smell , taste and texture. My family tasted one bite and we threw it all in trash. The chicken was so dry you can't even swallow it. Called them to provide feedback and they argued back. Avoid at all costs

We regularly order take-out from here which seems to be the popular choice even though they do have a fair amount of dine-in seating. There are many naan selections and we especially like the paneer naan and garlic naan. Favorite main dishes include salmon tikka masala, chicken tikka masala, paneer tikka masala, butter chicken, and the chicken jalfrezi. If you have a low spice tolerance be sure to request “mild” spice level on any dish. Parking is a little tricky since there’s only street parking but there are usually spots available somewhere nearby. Some patrons often just slide in on the corner or double park on Lyceum with their hazard lights flashing for a quick run in. In any case the food has always been ready when we’ve arrived for pick up.

The best Indian food I’ve had. Huge portions for a great price and just so delicious.

Staff was nice and food was on time, but the spice level did not match our expectations. We like spicy food, and ordered medium spice level but it was so spicy we could hardly enjoy the main part of the meal. The samosas, onion bhaji and naan are excellent, but beware of the spice level when you order. The medium was on par with habanero level heat, if not hotter.

I always pick up a mango lassi from here because it’s the best in the area, but I tried the lamb biryani and malai kofta and they were both amazing. The lamb biryani had a generous serving of the meat and the malai kofta had the perfect creaminess and spices.
