Charming inn close to everything. We stayed at the top floor corner room which gave us a beautiful view of the harbor and sunrises everyday. Yes, there's a steep stairwell to get to that floor and yes, parking on the streets only. However, we didn't have to pay when we stayed here early Oct. Room is spacious and we had a good size ref. No microwave though. We had to change our arrival date due to TS Philippe coming in. Tim processes our request, no problem.

We stayed here for two nights. The hotel was right downtown which was very convenient, the downside is that you have to park on the road which means you could be carrying your luggage down the street depending on what road parking is like. The room was quite large and had a mini fridge and microwave. The staff were all very friendly. We could also see the waterfront from our room which was very cool and there is a shared balcony that guests can use that looks out to the waterfront as well.

My husband & I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in July at the Rum Runner Inn. This was our first time to Nova Scotia, and Lunenburg was a must see on our list. This boutique hotel was wonderful. When I booked to reservation, I received immediate confirmation and a welcome email from Tim. Mackenzie was very helpful during our stay. The room was beautiful, overlooking the harbor. Very comfortable, easy access to the many restaurants and activities in the area. Highly recommend this Inn.

I stayed at the Rum Runner Inn at the height of Hurricane Lee. The view onto the port was amazing, and the room was spacious and clean. Lunenburg is a picturesque little village, even under a dark sky ! The service is the best, though. Despite everything else being closed, Tim and his team were able to welcome me late at night and get warm coffee and muffins for the morning after. True customer care. I'll definitely try to come back, and recommend the Rum Runner to anyone wanting to experience this beautiful part of Canada.

Rum Runners is Travelers Choice on Trip Advisor but, to me, the accommodations were comparable to a motel. That said, the rooms were clean and the location is right in the heart of Lunenburg. I think the hotel could use renovation and more attention to detail, like swapping out the cheap, lumpy Walmart pillows for something more conducive to a restful night's sleep. We booked the Honeymoon Suite and, unfortunately, that's just not an accurate description.

Perfect spot right downtown with small but comfortable rooms. Lots of signage about being a quiet hotel however the doors do not block noise from the hall at all and the normal movement of people coming and going to their rooms.

We stayed here for two days and would like to have stayed longer. The room was large and had a very nice outdoor space with a great view of the harbor. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Lunenburg was a gem, unfortunately we didn't feel the same about our stay at Rum Runner Inn. While the location of the inn, and views were great, there were a few things that let us down. The suite we stayed in did not have blinds on the larger windows or skylights. We approached the front desk to ask if there were curtains or anything to use, and received a rather short and dismissive response. It wasn't clear with the reservation that we would need to take a steep set of stairs to our unit. The main entrance door to our unit from the street did not have a working lock, but we were provided a key for it. I believe there were 4-5 units within this access point, with direct access to the street. I think we would have benefitted from phoning the inn ahead of time and asking questions about the room options. There were several rules and guidelines of the inn that were provided to us the day of check-in, which we would have preferred to be made of aware of prior to making a reservation. Kind regards,

Our booking was made through a third party site, on arrival there was a slight mix up, but the owner Tim was on top of sorting it out and getting us squared away in the proper room. With unseasonably warm weather, we opted for a room with a balcony and were lucky to have an amazing view of the harbour. The hotel is centrally located, easy walk to so many restaurants and of course the Waterfront. Parking available on the street, no issue for us being low season, might not be as easy a find in peak season. No issues with the room, bed was the comfortable and bathroom was adequate. We'd definitely consider staying here again and recommend a balcony suite if staying here.

Really great stay in a very interesting town, and the inn has really great friendly and accommodating stay. I would not change a thing., and we will be back next time we head that way.

One of the best hotels I stayed at during my trip in Nova Scotia this summer. Tim was just the best host! So welcoming. So nice. Telling us stories about his town. If you want a great experience I highly recommend you stop here! Also for people like me who are working on the road, its the best wifi I have found during this trip! I was able to easily upload videos on Youtube to give you an example!
