The room and toilet were modest and clean, not quite as great as Ibis in Paris. Staff was friendly and helpful. However I was GROSSLY disappointed with the organisation of pool usage. Due to Covid, there was a restriction on the number of people, which is understandable. However, the pool is open from 3pm to 7 pm only and this was not communicated during réservation. I could have chosen a more central Ibis but I reserved this hotel specifically for the pool during the heat wave, and could not even spend one hour. My children (and other guests) were very annoyed. Families had to stand and wait for hours to get in. It would be good to open and close earlier so that all guests don't come charging in at 3pm, only to be turned away. In addition, I had to search like a fool to find the entrance of the Ibis because it was completely hidden and overshadowed by the Novotel, which I guess the group is trying to promote more. We had to climb up the ramp then completely pass the Novotel to come upon the Ibis at the end of the curb.

We usually stop over in this hotel when we travel to Barcelona from Köln. The room is not big but it’s comfortable for a reasonable price. The are PET ALLOWED and for us is fundamental. They are also super gentle and comprehensive with us and our little Yorkshire. Usually we dinner also there as we arrive late. The food is really good and also the breakfast. It’s really practical as they have also parking. For us is perfect to stop, eat, sleep and continue our trip to Barcelona or back home. They also have in the reception some games to entertain you and maybe drink something before hit the pillow. 😅

Nice position for the hotel. Rooms are OK, but a little too pricy for the offer. 4 stars however!

A great hotel and great location. Really close to the newer part of the city (confluence). From here I went climbing and cycled around the city. Be warned the pool is often really busy. I didn't manage to use it for this reason. And it's not a large pool (in my opinion). The hotel has unground well secured parking. Breakfast was a buffet style. And I'd like to suggest they cook their bacon a little better, it was more boiled than crispy, not the standard I'd expect. Other than that it was perfect. The lovely lady at the front desk was genuinely charming and so helpful during my stay. Don't put your phone next to your key card, it'll reset it.

We stayed there for two days and it was not the best experience. In the photos room was looking nice. However, in reality room and furnitures were pretty old. Old could be nice in some cases but not here. Shower had grey stains. Maybe it wasn’t dirty but it feels like it is. Anyways, it was cheap, location was good and I guess it is ok for short stays.

Personnel très accueillant, propreté des chambres, le monsieur de la sécurité est disponible et arrangeant. Les pizzas du restaurant près de la piscine sont bonnes !!! What else ??

All fine, but nothing special. Pleasant breakfast room. All appropriate for the price.

This museum is on the spit of land that separates the Saone River from the Rhone. That and the modern architecture of the building is itself a reason to visit

I recently stayed at the Ibis Lyon Gerland Musée des Confluences and I am delighted to share my positive experience. I had a restful and comfortable night, the bedding was excellent. The reception was warm and professional, which helped to make my stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was simply fantastic. The choice of dishes was varied and the room was bright, providing a pleasant atmosphere to start the day. I really enjoyed it. I would like to thank the whole team for their attentive service and hospitality. You have made my stay memorable. Best regards to all. #B4YOUDISCOVERY

I really like Ibis Hotels in general and this one is no exception: clean and functional rooms, huge breakfast buffet (with excellent madeleine), nice and helpful staff. The only thing I didn't appreciate much was the fact that the AC wasn't powerful enough with the temperatures of late July, and the staff kind of ignored our request to get it fixed. Generally speaking this is a recommendable place for a short stay in Lyon, considering that with a 3 minutes walk you can catch the team and get to the main metro hub from which you can go anywhere in the city. Definitely recommended.

Everything was great! Clean room, nice staff, nice breakfast. Breakfast is buffet style, with some fruits salad, yogurt, cereals, croissants (very nice croissants!!), napolitanas, mini crepes, bread, a bit of embutido, boiled eggs, coffee/tea. We could take our dog with us with a small supplement. Zero problems!

The staff is friendly and helpful, they do their best to make you feel comfortable. The problem is the building and the old ibis standard furniture. Almost no isolation between the rooms, you hear the shower from the other rooms, hair dryers and a lot of logistics until 1 o'clock the morning and starting from 6am. Small windows, appearing large from outside with a fake glass (!), you hardly see the surrounding outside. Traffic noise with window open and a faked air-conditioning control panel make it hard to regulate the temperature of the room. The typical Ibis furniture looks cheap as a train compartment. Old cheap style and unfortunately too expensive for that. Breakfast is just ok.
