This is a local french scam that preys on tourists! I found Sixt as one of the well known car rental agencies in Lyon while I was on vacation there for a week. I rented a car and the price was fairly reasonable, they charged 437EU. Only later I saw that the credit card that I paid with was charged $751, which makes no sense. Not only that, but after failed attempts to contact anyone who speaks english, I returned the car and the next day they charged another $448. No explanation, no email, nothing. I am currently disputing their charges but I advise everyone to stay away from them, they make money by scamming tourists and good luck getting your money back once you're out of the country!

Good old fashioned service, they write the contract out by hand. Eventhough I had filled everything in online... really... only in France. Picking up the car took forever. And using the credit card is a big issue as well here....

I have nothing to say about the agency's service, but I rented a Sprinter moving truck for a day, a hassle on the highway, the vehicle has difficulty going uphill even though it doesn't only has 45,000km on the clock!! Driving at 80 km/h on a 130 km/h road without forgetting the additional consumption that comes from having to shift into 4th gear with the revs at 3500 to maintain a speed of 80 km/h. In short, NEVER AGAIN.

I rented a car at the end of October following the breakdown of my vehicle; the reception team was very pleasant, the car was perfect; however I forgot to fill up with fuel before returning the car; a week later I had the unpleasant surprise of having too much money withdrawn, so I sent an email to customer service and they were very responsive, I really appreciated it because they refunded me the too full that they had taken, thank you. I really recommend this rental agency but don't forget to refuel, it's important for people who come to rent the car afterwards.

After renting a Fiat 500 from them at the end of November, I went to Valencia with it and it went very well. The friendly and smiling staff, I recommend.

A friendly welcome at the agency, on the other hand, no one to walk around the vehicle at check-in... even if everything is written in the contract. Not easy parking And a price differential between the Internet, and if we are in an agency of around €30 just to take an identity… for the moment, we expect an extremely high quality service….

Very bad experience with this rental agency. One star is still too high. No communication, and enormous waiting time both when picking up the vehicle and when returning. Price increase +71.33€ taken without notifying me because vehicle returned after the hour: indeed I warned them that I was stuck at the gas station for more than 30 minutes and then waiting at their office also 30 minutes, hence the delay. I got a comment (no thanks) to tell me that the car was clean, least of all things it seems to me, and the person made me sign his return screen saying, no problem, no problem, I don't don't show you the rest because there's no change, "sign"... I'm in a hurry, I think I'm going away for the weekend. I can only advise against this agency which is really not made for customer relations. And I'm not talking about the vehicle with a feeling of a faulty steering system, nor the fact that the gauge was not full at the start. Very disappointed, I will not return there, and I hope to dissuade some because treating customers in this way is unacceptable. Audrey M

Very good trustworthy agency, I go there regularly, always very well received, and for returns when the agency is closed it has always gone very well and the deposit is returned very quickly

Reservation made on September 21 for October 7, the reservation was validated and I called on October 4 for information and I was told on the phone that the reservation was canceled without even having an email or reason concerning the cancellation, avoid Sixt and choose companies like virtuo which are much more competent
