Fantastic all day wine tour/tasting. Our guide Ivan was extremely knowledgeable and was able to access private tasting rooms. Several Grand Cru and Premier wines to enjoy, and we had a great picnic amongst the vineyards. Thoroughly recommended

We had a 2-day tour with Thomas this week and it was INCREDIBLE!!! He has a deep knowledge of Burgundy wines and his connections within the Burgundy wine community were not just impressive but added considerably to our experience. Most importantly, he has an incredible personality and was so much fun. He really got to know us and catered all of the tours to our liking, even down to emphasizing more red wines than white (personal preference). He even took us to beautiful places so we could see the region and get memorable pictures. When we think back on our honeymoon, we will also remember our time with Thomas.

Fun and informative half day tour with our guide Antonin. We stopped at a series of vineyards and had two sets of wine tastings with ample choices at each. We learned about the grading system used to rate the wines. We met a vintner. We bought 5 bottles we would not have ever found back home. We had a quick tour of Beaune, too.

We had a wonderful experience on the small group full day tour. Our guide, Hubert, was gracious and deeply knowledgeable about the region itself and its wines and wineries. Each of the stops we made was thoughtfully chosen and interesting. We enjoyed a variety of different wines from several winemakers and left with new understanding of the impact of earth, slope, and climate of the region on its wines. The lunch stop in Beaune was just enough time to enjoy a lovely meal and explore the charming village. We highly recommend Authentica for your wine tour of Burgundy! We got to experience and learn about much more than had we explored the Route des Grands Crus on our own.

Had a fabulous wine tour yesterday. After much deliberation and research my wife and I settled on a private all day tour of both burgundy regions— we made the right choice. Hubert picked us up promptly at our hotel at 9:30 in a elegant Mercedes E class. The day was ideal and he started with a stop at some vineyards to begin our education. He was careful to immediately understand our previous knowledge of wine and this particular local region so as to personalize the day. The day consisted of 3 tastings ( 18 wines total!) our first stop was at at a family winery where we tasted 6 wines from village to grand cru of several vintages. Next was lunch for some local faire of beef burgunone and 5 wines. Last stop was a private wine club to taste 7 different wines from separate producers. Hubert personally selected these. In between of course we stopped at several premiere vineyards, view opportunities, and the like. Hubert was also able to arrange shipping back to California for the several cases we had selected. The rate was extremely reasonable, wine prices great ( he guided us to best bargains), and great to know exactly what you are buying. Recommend without question! Best day of our journey!

I have never been so impressed by a tour guide as I was with Thomas in our recent visit to Burgundy. Having known of Authentica’s reputation for quality, we knew the company to book with, but the guide who is the face of that company is the most critical factor for whether you have a good time. Let me plainly state: Thomas’ detailed expertise for wine, love for his adopted home in Burgundy, quick wit and attentive service meant we had an absolute blast. We left Thomas’ care with brains full of new knowledge about even the smallest minutae that only wine geeks would care about, yet those on the tour who didn’t mind those details were also accommodated. Everyone had a list of maybe 15 restaurants to try, places to visit in Dijon, and a van full of old buddies who became such with Thomas’ banter though we had met them all for the first time just hours before. You already know to book with Authentica, now you know to ask for Thomas. To Thomas: you may be no Jeremie, but we’d “settle” for you again any day.

We spent a half day wine tour with Romain. Romain was very knowledgeable, patient with our questions and even gave us the secret to making an excellent quiche Lorraine. We would definitely recommend the experience to anyone passing through Dijon.
