Visit Blue Lagoon Malta

If I knew they going to made me to downloaded an app to get in the island, I wouldn't do and for those who planning to go there, let me tell you this is headache. There are so many people that you can't move around. YES, stunning view and the water color perfect but, in my opinion is Not worth it to visit.

Perfect. Stunning place. Opportunity to swim in crystal water among fish. Heavenly views. Place for everyone. Take a jetty from nearby towns or Gozo and remember to book entry from the government. It's free but availability is restricted. LOVELY place!

Quite possibly the clearest waters you’ll ever see. It’s unreal and breathtaking. Visiting during the off season when it’s still a bit cold to swim, you properly appreciate the true beauty of the lagoon. If you can, hike up to the top, sit on one of the cliffs and just marvel at the wonder that is the Comino Island. Go as far as you can to see where the crystal lagoon meets the blue lagoon. It’s absolutely gorgeous!

Blue Logoon is ok but swimming in St. Nicolas Bat was more fun. And hiking to Santa Marija beach was more fun. There are many people at the Blue Lagoon. If you need some space, swim elsewhere AND hike.

Loved our visit to the blue lagoon! I had no idea that this place would have everything you would need for a day spent out there. The drinks served in pineapples were great (I had too many of them though!) Would go visit the blue lagoon again, great fun!!

Blue Lagoon, Comino – simply stunning! The crystal-clear turquoise waters, the dramatic rocky landscapes, and the peaceful atmosphere make this place feel like paradise. Swimming here was an unforgettable experience, and the contrast between the deep blue sea and the white sand beneath the water is mesmerizing. Even though it can get crowded, the breathtaking beauty of the lagoon is absolutely worth it. A must-visit when in Malta!

The Blue Lagoon in Comino is a beautiful place to visit, famous for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and stunning scenery. It can get very busy, especially during the summer months, with lots of people enjoying swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. Despite the crowds, it’s a must-see when in Malta. The lagoon is just a short distance from Gozo, making it easy to reach by boat or ferry. The vibrant colors of the water and the surrounding cliffs create a truly unforgettable view. Arriving early or later in the afternoon can help you enjoy this natural paradise in a more peaceful setting.

Stunning place, crystal clear water... worth to see it as its a great experience in life. To get here you need to take farry from main island or Gozo. Then walk 30min to see that beauty😀

Beautiful lagoon with crystal clear blue water. You can spend all day sunbathing or swimming/snorkeling in the lagoon or swim to Comminita and walk around Comino island. There are food and cocktails booths with card payments available. Beware of crowds in the season - this place can be overcrowded and there is limited space on the rocks to settle your towel nearby the water.

Obviously a marvelous day trip if your in Gozo. However 😂 set of early to avoid huge crowds if the weather is good. Make sure you pre-book as many tour providers will try to sell you theirs. The times of sailings are approximate 😅 if you think like it's anything like UK, well don't... Ponce there it's gorgeous bit not like your ordinary beech experience. Super crowded and the entry to the water is rather steep and rocky. Make sure to get your pineapple drink 🍻 sun lounges are quite expensive. Nice to go for a little walk or run across the island about 5k. Make sure to book your inland pass on the website. Although they also book you in ashore before you board. Futile exercise as they still let everyone on the Island so gettin back off it is an interesting task. Remember, sailing times are not set and the colour of your ticket matters the most! You may still miss your boat as there's too many people booked for one boat, so get patient to wait for 2h like some. Or use your elbows to get on board 🤣🤣 it is quite fun. Unless you're with small kids. Either way, great day out with totally awesome snorkeling. Mind you we went end of October... Can't imagine summer time 🤣

Such a stunning place. You MUST have registered on their official website to be able to step down on the island from the boat, it is free but mandatory, otherwise you are allowed to go to the island. I loved the fact you can walk all the way up to the highest point, and also just roam around the whole island.. water is of course cristal clear

A fantastic beach to visit, spend the whole day there as you can find fresh fruit salads, snacks, cocktails, fresh juices and more or bring your own food from Malta. You can rent a sunbed -umbrella (15€) for the whole day or find a place on the rocks with your company. Take with you sunblock and a hat. Take the local ferry to get there, its about 15 € in total (back and forth) and don't pay for any cruise for god's shake, doesn't worth a penny since the only notable sight is the blue lagoon. Don't go to Gozo, there is nothing to visit there, I guess they promote tourism in order to live, but trust me it's a waste of time. Also, the only reason to visit the sea caves is only if you decide to rent a speedboat and get in otherwise, are just holes-slits on the rocks. The water is crystal clear, refreshing and turquoise. Important note : In order to go the beach you must visit the sight FAQS- Blue Lagoon to register, it only takes a minute. It's a little paradise, many people visit but if you find a spot for you or your things, you ll have a splendid time. Enjoy!

The color of the water is magical. Very clean and transparent. The place is one of the most beautiful that I have visited in Europe, but there are few places for sunbeds.

Great for views but ridiculously busy. The views were amazing, the water was so clear and you can sometimes see the fish even by the shore. The island is all rock other than a tiny beach. A lot of people lie in the path to get into the water. Others sit on the dock which is always busy as people are constantly getting off or waiting to get on boats and are often told to move by staff. Unless you rent a beach chair it is incredibly uncomfortable. Some people choose to climb up and down some rocks to access the water or to have a seat which is possible but does not look very comfortable and sometimes unsafe. It was nice to walk about as you can get to the top and see the views of the water and other rocky islands but you’ll need to wear appropriate shoes as it’s steep and there is not really a path as very rocky. There are plenty of food options such as burgers, hotdogs, kebabs, pizzas etc which are not too expensive. I also saw a few stalls selling drinks in hollowed out pineapples. There are also stalls where you can buy things suck as magnets and bracelets. There is also a toilet in a brick building located close to the stairs which is opposite to the dock. There were many life guards and first aid staff as well. Personally I would not visit again due to how busy this was and it really felt like consumerism has ruined a lovely island. This is definitely a tourist destination.

The Blue Lagoon is absolutely extraordinary and definitely a must-see. If you’re visiting in July, make sure to get there as early as possible. After 9 in the morning, it starts getting really crowded and can feel a bit overwhelming. Going early means you can enjoy the crystal-clear water and beautiful scenery in a much more relaxed way before the crowds arrive.

The blue lagoon will always inevitably be busy. This is something you have to accept. Regardless of this, it was a beautiful area. I spent 3 hours here and it's a lovely area for a swim and there's loads of fast food and drinks. Always a must do!! I'll be back again.

One of the most beautiful places in Europe. Plan your trip in the spring or autumn. We were there in the summer in it's carry crowded. But we loved it either way. A daytrip 6-7 hours almost not enough. Blue lagoon and crystal lagoon.

Breathtaking water and fun for the whole family The Blue Lagoon is absolutely stunning—clear, turquoise water that looks like a postcard. We arrived early, which I highly recommend, because it got very crowded by late morning. Once it got busy, we walked around the island and found some quieter spots. We even did some cliff jumping, which was a highlight! My 13-year-old went snorkeling in a cave on the far side and said it was amazing—he saw entire schools of fish and loved it. We rented 2 loungers with an umbrella for €30, which felt a bit pricey, but it was nice to have a base for the day. There are a few food stalls and basic facilities, but not much shade unless you rent. Overall, an incredible experience—just be prepared for the crowds and bring water shoes if you plan to explore. Definitely worth visiting! Just get there around 9 am.

This place is incredible. It requires a boat to get here so your experience may vary based on the service provided by the tour company. However reviewing just the location itself - it’s a natural paradise. The turquoise azure water is refreshing and on a sunny day, it’s a refreshing experience altogether. There’s some minor hiking to be done to reach the top of the island and explore the cliffs. There’s no real roads or structure beyond a certain point so elderly or disabled people may struggle to navigate. It can also be windy and the water may be cold, depending on the time of the year you visit to check in advance. There’s food and drink stations to purchase and public toilets at the start. There’s no permanent residency on the island so you must depart before the island closes.

The Tour Ferry we booked docked here on a rocky path and it is advisable to wear appropriate footwear to make sure you do not slip. The island docking harbour greets you with security and souvenir, food, drinks stalls and some mirjauana products for the more adventurous tourists as it is legal in Malta. The blue lagoon waters are super blue and there is a small sandy beach section for you to swim in the shallow / deeper waters. There are lifeguards present and make sure to ask if there are any jellyfish depending on the year you go as they are seasonal and there have been incidents of people getting stung. There is a rough terrain hill side that you walk up to the top to get a really good picturesque view. The tour boat docks for about 45 minutes before heading to Gozo, but there are option to stay on Comino Island for the entire day with an evening pickup.

We visited in October after a rainy day. I guess it is a nice place if you stay for a bath, but don't expect waterfalls and views like in the movies 😊 A beautiful landscape and a nice place to go and swim from a boat.

Lovely for a quick stop, a quick swim, the views are stunning. It is very blue indeed. However, because it is beautiful, it is very popular. The actual accessible beach area is very small, so it is crowded. If you don't want to sit in the sun all day on a rocky surface, visit, but don't stay long.

Absolutely stunning, and well worth the trip. Unfortunately, far too crowded, which does spoil the experience somewhat. Definitely recommend making use of the lockers before heading down for a swim. Despite the crowds, I cannot give less than top marks as it is simply beautiful 😍

The blue lagoon is a must if you visit Malta. A beautiful landscape with crystal waters and a turquoise shade of blue among the rocks especially the time of the sunset will take your breath. It the summer months i suggest you go in the afternoon since you can enjoy the view and a quick swim without the place being over crowded. When you arrive you'll also see many canteens with food, drinks and sweets you can choose from. Don't miss it
