Leuk gratis archeologisch museum met veel interessante interactieve displays en mooie vondsten. Zeker de moeite als je eens in de buurt bent.

We visited this museum as it is part of a trail we are walking. The Roman Limes Path. I really enjoyed looking around this beautiful light museum that is home to an ancient Roman boat and artefacts. There was no wait to get in and entrance was free.

Surprising to visit this museum in the middle of Leidse Rijn. You can learn the history of the area back from 5500BC with the entry price of 0.0€. There are few extra rooms and theatre where shows are shown, unfortunately they were closed when we visited during the summer vacation.

A lot of found articles to examine and interactive displays. Well designed and done.

Lovely place indeed but it is a pity that all information is only in Dutch. This is a UNESCO site and a museum so an English description would be great to have.

Really nice. A great visit with the kids. They enjoyed an was hard to make them leave again. The little city farm next to was a great addition

A free museum that tells you the history of the area it is located in. There are mainly activities for children like animals but adults can also spend some time here especially when you are interested in local history.

Clean & interesting. My only complaint was not enough non german explanation for exhibits. Food was good

An absolutely amazing archaeological museum. It is super fun and engaging for kids with many interactive exhibits as well as a petting zoo. And best of all it is free! It is one of the few museums in the Netherlands that doesn't charge admission. So it is definitely worth checking out.
