The
explanation
before
the
tour,
is
interesting,
telling
the
story
of
Utrecht
and
the
Dom
Square.
There
are
two
guides
-
an
older
guy
leading
the
Dutch
speaking
group,
and
a
woman
leading
the
English
speaking
group.
The
English
speaking
guide
was
great
and
her
explanations
were
interesting,
she
was
good
at
engaging
the
group
and
answering
any
questions
we
had.
Once
the
explanation
is
over
you
are
led
to
the
excavation
itself,
which
is
supposed
to
be
the
main
event,
but
it's
much
less
interesting
than
the
explanation
makes
it
sound
like.
It's
quite
dark,
they
show
a
short
movie,
then
give
you
lamps
with
an
earpiece,
you
point
it
at
sensors
scattered
across
the
room
and
they
play
a
short
audio
clip
with
an
explanation.
Dutch
speaking
people
get
a
head
start,
English
speaking
people
have
to
wait
until
after
the
movie
for
the
headpieces
to
be
set
to
English.
After
I
got
mine
I
found
out
it
was
still
in
Dutch,
so
I
politely
said
"excuse
me,
this
is
in
Dutch".
The
guide
who
led
the
Dutch
speaking
group
was
extremely
rude
and
blamed
me
for
it.
This
ruined
the
whole
experience
for
me.
All
in
all,
I
feel
like
this
was
an
underwhelming
experience
and
I
would
not
recommend
it
unless
you
really
have
nothing
better
to
do.
If
you
go
make
sure
not
to
interact
with
the
rude
guide.
