Absolutely fun vibes at this restaurant! Delicious tacos and cocktails! Servers are genuine and quick . Keep it up!

Gosh, such delicious tacos here! Make sure you try their truffle and mushrooms tacos, their baja fish, and the vegetarian pastor (with that smoked pineapple!). Don’t skip the starters though… the elote corn is so sophisticated and special. I think they have the best totopos/nacho chips here in Amsterdam coz they’re served really warm, with a tasty guac side. For dessert, get the filled churros! The mezcal cocktail with pineapple and cinnamon is a must.

Highly recommend the carnitas tacos! Delicious and packed with flavor, you get a set of 2 when you order. Hard to find a taco place in Amsterdam that uses corn tortillas! Super friendly staff and cool vibes. Would definitely come back again!

The food was absolutely delicious. The tacos were tasty. The quesadillas were good but not the best. The chorizo croquetas were really tasty. But to be honest: they have become quite a bit more expensive so I wonder whether the price-quality ratio is still up there.

I visited Cabrón in September 2023 and was blown away by the quality of the food. Seriously, the beef birria tacos were probably some of the best tacos I've ever tasted in my life! The rest of the food was really high quality and tasty, looking and tasting like gourmet street food. The staff were great; friendly and singing/dancing in the restaurant in-between serving food and drinks. It was a great vibe! Margaritas were fantastic, too!

Triste place it's completely amazing, the food transport me to México, everything can't be more than perfect and those palomas were one of the best we have ever taste out of México, and the staff is totally nice !!

I booked a table for a nice dinner there since the reviews here looked great and was not dissapointed. The nachos where a real highlight the guacamole is amazing. We had the quesadillas and tacos de nopales and they where both delicious. I am vegetarian and I had plenty to chose from on the menu, which I always appreciate. The ambiente and service was good too, although not lightning fast since they were really busy - so do bring some time if you go, the food is worth the wait.

Very disappointed as we had high expectations with the good reviews. The food was very average, my Mexican partner didn’t like it at all and didn’t think it was authentic. Portions are small and expensive. I’ve visited many better Mexican restaurants. Also, which Mexican restaurant doesn’t offer corona? The two waiters looked bored and were not rude but not friendly either. They also forgot one drink we ordered. I won’t go there again.

Best tacos have eaten in Amsterdam. I had the beef and napales. So yummy. Plus the cocktails and delicious and strong

The cocktails are excellent and the nachos are best in town. Taco’s could be a bit more special. Vibe is nice!

We had a really good time at Cabron. We received nachos we didn’t order and thought it was complimentary - but then it was on a our but this was taken care of very professionally and without hassle which was really nice to experience as many places in Amsterdam don’t give this type of customer service. We ordered the pulled beef with consome - 10/10. We also ordered the cassavas, the only negative is that I wish they served more in 1 portion lol. We also ordered the deep fried cod tacos and again, 10/10. The flavors are so good, the jalapeño margarita was the best I’ve ever had! The corn tacos themselves are also of a high quality. And the nachos we got at the start, very very good quality! Will definitely return! Muchos gracias!

Very cozy and good food and best margaritas in Amsterdam

If you are looking for a Mexican restaurant, this is the place to be. The food was amazing. Most of the dishes are to share. The quesadilla de polo en adobo was 10/10.

Absolutely delicious food (particularly the beef croquettes). Restaurant was empty when we arrived so we had no problems getting seated. (Sunday evening 9th of July) The guy working was friendly and fun and made the experience even better. Three plates and churros to share was enough food for us (although we should’ve tried the cactus croquette) Thanks for a nice experience, we will be back :)

Excellent Mexican food, strong margaritas and nice mezcal. Generous feelings for the tacos, I really liked their tortillas. Short-ribs are amazing and the pollo adobo quesadilla is absolutely delicious.

I’ve always been so picky about Mexican food in Amsterdam. I had yet to find a place I liked until tonight. Originally coming from Texas, Tex-mex is a big deal that’s close to heart. This is not Tex-mex, but it’s enough to bring back so many good memories, plus the quality of the ingredients is better than your average Tex-Mex restaurant. The corn tortillas are so flavourful, and the cocktails are as good as going to some of Amsterdam’s fanciest cocktail bars. We had the vegan quesadilla and beef quesadilla, plus the Pina Caliente and Mezcal Margarita. AMAZING. We’re glad we got there early - 18:30 on a Wednesday night was great and pretty quiet. Will definitely visit again.

Food and service were excellent so will definitely be back! 2 things that aren’t great: 1. If the table is only available for 1 1/2 hours, it would be great to know this when making the booking and not after arriving at the restaurant 2. When the place is full, it’s really loud and hard to make a conversation with your dinner guest Otherwise really awesome. Nice food and drink selection as well! Thanks

I would make it 5 stars but missing sour cream :). These guys by far make the best nachos in town and are not stingy on the cheese. And the nachos are real fresh corn chips.

Wonderful food, packed with flavours. Served by the nicest staff you could think of. My go-to place for Mexican food.

Soooo expensive and tiny finger food portions. Good taste, but not excellent. Was part of a party of 9-10 people which was booked in advance, but they split us up in two tables which was not a nice experience. Service was slow and we always had to ask for attention just to get our water refilled, maybe that day they were understaffed.

They served the best Tacos and cocktail tho! The location is very strategic and the staff is very friendly. They have variety type of choices but the price is slightly overprice for the food portion i would say. But so far the atmosphere did not disappointed me.

I'm glad we found this restaurant close to AMS city. We were received well. The staff were approachable and responded quick. We tried some different varities of cocktails and they were indeed refreshing. They have some vegetarian food options too. I loved the chicken quesadilla. It was super yummy and light. You should try their other menu items as well. Very deliciously prepared. The food was served quick & fresh. Toilets were clean too. Well parking can be a challenge here because most AMS streets are pretty busy. Thank you Cabron for the good treat.

Food was nice, their customer service on the other hand has huge opportunities of improvement. Some beers were warm, our second course was delayed due to not being properly sent to kitchen by the waiter, and when we called to ask for a table, they said “I’m pretty full, if you show up, and it rains, you’ll have to stay outside and get soaked” we went there and there were tables available.

Food was delicious! They don't have churos anymore so that's really a shame

Very magical place. The type of place you want to call home. The atmosphere is very chill…the service is very good. The drinks are very traditional and honest and the food is made with passion. Highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed and afterwards, you’ll want to come back again for another tequila, mezcal or the very traditional Paloma or Mezcalita! I’ve eaten at many Mexican restaurants around the world and this is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Amsterdam. Highly recommended!
