The weekly flower market is generally a gorgeous experience, a street full of flowers! Who doesn't love it? The flowers are reasonably priced and stay standing often for almost two weeks! There's a large range of flowers to choose from which just makes this flower market a must go if you're staying in Utrecht a little longer or just want to experience this side of Dutch culture. The people there are always friendly and are happy to assist you with whatever you need! There are places where you can make your own flowers bundles, but there are also premade ones that you can get. I go here almost every week and usually I get one premade flower bundle and then I also make one for myself. It's a very fun experience and my dog loves it too!

Classic. One of the best experiences when living in Holland, is to be on your way somewhere and stop to pick up some flowers for your hosts. Preferably from the flower market so the whole experience is one of good earthy light and colors. Breathe it in ! Rain or shine - this market always puts a smile in my heart and makes my fingers itch to dig a home for a few plants

Known as Janskerkhof Flower Market, this location is situated in the square surrounding the Janskerk, a historic church dating back to 11th century. The area was originally used as a cemetery for the nearby the church but was closed in 19th century due to health concerns and the square was transferred into a market space. It started as a small market where local businesses sold their products and then vendors from surrounding areas could sell also. Now this square is also a lively gathering place with cafes, restaurants and shops which is a picturesque area with its historic buildings and cobblestone streets.

Flower market on Saturday morning and afternoon. Love to go there, many stalls of cut flowers and plants at very accessible prices vs other city stores. Plants are generally in excellent state.

Wonderful flower market really comes into its own during Summer. (although you can also buy pumpkins in Autumn and Christmas trees in Winter). You can browse the wide variety of cut flowers or look for some bulbs for your garden. There's even a stall which sells good quality indoor plants. Highly recommended a visit if you're visiting Utrecht for the weekend!
