Want to eat at a smoke-filled dive with sub-par food? Badly lit atmosphere, (one can only guess why)…This is your place! Hostess/Server was pleasant, but that’s the only positive note! Store bought chips and chunky salsa for $4.99? Frozen tater tots, overcooked in the oven? But the kicker???? Look. If you can’t even cook a standard burger, you need to re-think your career choice! Advertised as an 8oz. Angus beef burger with the basics… Ordered mine medium rare, as I love a good burger. This was what I was served! Basically burnt on the outside and RAW on the inside! Never again! And I’m calling some friends in health services to pay a visit to this pit! ***EDIT*** I’m now sick, tasting the burnt “Angus Beef” and going to the bathroom every 30 mins. If I’m not better tomorrow, I’ll be going to Urgent Care to test for food poisoning!!!!

A Blend of Rustic Vibes and Live Entertainment: A Review of Timbers Dive Bar in Smyrna, GA Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5) Timbers Dive Bar in Smyrna, Georgia, offers a unique and vibrant experience that seamlessly blends the charm of a dive bar with the excitement of live band performances. If you're looking for a laid-back evening filled with music, camaraderie, and a touch of nostalgia, this spot is worth checking out. The moment you step inside Timbers, you'll be enveloped by its dive bar ambiance. The dimly lit interior, adorned with vintage memorabilia and weathered wood furnishings, exudes a sense of history and authenticity. The place feels like a hidden gem, inviting you to unwind and leave your worries at the door. The live band performances at Timbers are a major highlight. The stage, though compact, hosts talented local bands that deliver energetic and crowd-pleasing sets. From classic rock to bluesy melodies, the diverse lineup ensures there's something for everyone to tap their feet or even dance along. The intimate setting allows for a more personal connection with the performers, making the whole experience feel special. One thing to note is that, due to the live music and enthusiastic patrons, Timbers can get quite loud. This might be part of the appeal for those seeking a lively and boisterous atmosphere, but it could be a drawback for those seeking a quieter, more relaxed evening. Smoking is allowed in Timbers, which could be either a pro or con, depending on your preferences. For smokers, this provides an opportunity to enjoy their favorite blend while enjoying the performances. However, for non-smokers or those sensitive to smoke, it might be a drawback. The venue does make an effort to maintain proper ventilation, but the smell can still be noticeable in certain areas. The drink selection at Timbers is fairly standard for a dive bar, offering a variety of beers, cocktails, and spirits at reasonable prices. The bartenders are friendly and swift in serving your orders, ensuring you don't miss a beat of the live entertainment. Another aspect to highlight is the sense of community at Timbers. Regular patrons and first-timers alike are greeted warmly by both staff and other guests. It's a place where you can strike up conversations with strangers and quickly feel like part of the extended Timbers family. In conclusion, Timbers Dive Bar in Smyrna, GA, strikes a chord with its captivating blend of rustic vibes, live band entertainment, and a welcoming atmosphere. If you're up for a lively night out, filled with great music, friendly faces, and a bit of smoke, Timbers is the spot to be. Just be prepared for the volume and embrace the authentic dive bar experience that this hidden gem has to offer.

Yes it is smoky, however it is an awesome vibe! I had the salmon dinner and it was really good. I mostly enjoyed just the people that come in, it’s small but full of heart! A musician played as well as. I thoroughly enjoyed that! I’ll come next time I’m in the Marietta area.

The Bartenders are amazing and if I could leave them 5 stars I would. The environment is also great for a divebar. However, the owner is not a decent human and has a Napoleon complex. He regularly speaks down to his staff in front of patrons, humiliated a customer in front of multiple people and talked down to the man. Not a good look IMO. Wish it were better because I would like to go back.

Went with a friend that goes there fairly frequently and she loves it. The crowd here is ALIVE! I went on Karaoke night and the crowd is super fun. The DJ and the server were awesome too. I only gave it 4 stars because the selection of songs is a bit outdated. The crowd is a little older so, they mostly have classics. Overall, it a was a fun experience, though. Will be coming back.

I write a combined review of two visits. The first was December 2015 in which I had a 5 star experience. Unfortunately my return visit in October 2018 was a 1 star experience. In fairness, I offer an average of 3 star review. My first visit was during the holiday season and I was the unwitting participant in an "ugly sweater contest" in which I made several new friends and enjoyed some fantastic food, cheap cold beers and great music. It was such an amazing experience, I talked about it with everyone who learned of my visit to Georgia, and I shared many pictures of that visit to Timbers with them. My second (and my final) visit was during a business trip to Atlanta. I recommended this small locals bar to several other visitors with the promise of the best time Georgia had to offer. While enjoying some $1 tacos and a couple beers, I decided to play Georgia Lottery Keno. I bet $50 in 4 tickets. 3 out of 4 "won" back $34, but I was only paid $25. When I asked the bartender about the $9 deficit, I was accused of lying and felt chastised about my seeming cheat. You see, 3 out 4 tickets had associated payouts, but only 2 were paid and 1 was reported back to me as "already paid". I asked how that could be when the 4 tickets were purchased from the same bartender just 15 minutes earlier and she hadn't previously paid me. She had no explanation other than to say she "was busy and don't remember".

Cheers! had modeled their series off of this charming, rustic love letter to what a true dive bar aughta be. Coming from the pits of Cleveland, OH, let me tell you this place is a taste of home. I genuinely enjoyed my time here among friends and found the patrons and staff to be as local and real as they come. If you're looking for a dive (and I do mean a real dive, not some hipster a** attempt at one) this is the place for you.

The crew and the owner were super nice! Had the fried cauliflower special and the nachos supreme. I didn't enjoy the nachos, the cauliflower was ok. A little too soaked in oil but the seasoning was interesting and a bit spicy. If you're considering going for the first time, you might want to know that almost everyone is smoking in that bar. A fact that I personally didn't like but that's the kind of bar that it is. I'd probably go again because of the good atmosphere.

Friendliest staff and regular patrons you will find. We stopped there for a quick beer and they immediately made us feel at home. Great local place

Love this small, local establishment. I stop in every once in a while to watch live music and by chance run into one of my old school chums! Really good food that would surprise you!

Figured I'd try it out. Walked in, wreaked of cigarette smoke, but sat anyways. It wasn't a weekend so it wasn't busy. After sitting at the bar for 10 minutes without being acknowledged, I got up, walked out, and went to varners across the street. Not impressed, most likely not going back.

I used to love going there, everyone so friendly, good service. Went in today and a man and woman walked up after we were there 10 mins and said "I guess they did not tell you those seats are reserved" we thought kidding but he was not, said the bar supposed to put up sign but did not and asked us to move. If you allow rude regulars then not place for me. Bartender in phone most of the time.

Karaoke Fridays here was awesome! Really great drinks, food and friendly people! My friends and I had a great time. My only drawback is smoking is allowed inside but after all, it is a bar.

We went for late lunch, 3 pm. Was very good. The cheese fries are a favorite of my husband. I really enjoyed the tilapia, their house special. Its an older place with character. You can smoke inside and the bar is open. A real classic place in Smyrna.

👍 Very quick service for a Friday afternoon and the food was hot and fresh. I personally felt like there was too much sausage in the #1 and it could’ve used another potato instead. However, to each their own. Prices are reasonable and you will leave feeling full. A DJ was coming in as we were leaving...
