Booked a 6 sleeper chalet for 3 nights. This is probably our worst experience to date .. lack of maintenance was clearly evident . The heated pool was not working, jungle gyms dirty and unkempt, gas stove leaked during the entire stay, cupboards were not clean , toilets did not flush properly, showers were mouldy and just awful , toilet seats broken .... and then a cockroach in the grocery cupboard, found amongst my food on the day we departed . Terrible experience and a waste of our money.

We had the disfortune of booking a stay here over the new year period.18 people in total. Firstly our chalets were not cleaned and none of the staff came to check if cleaning service/fresh towels were needed. On day 3 of our stay we had to approach management to request someone come clean and assist with fresh towels. Then one of the chalets that we had booked (4 sleeper chalet) gets broken into while the guys are over at the pool area. All their clothes, money and personal belongings were taken. Management says they will review and "see" if they can compensate them. Not offering any other help besides "its never happened before". Which the police man who was called disputed.it's the 3rd/4th such even and nobody warned us about this. Then our water gets turned off at the chalets for no reason...Another trip to management office and then it gets turned on withing 5 minutes. The service and our unfortunate stay was utterly disgusting!!! We hold the lodge and the management personally responsible for the loss and trauma incurred. This is honestly the worst holiday resort I've had the disfortune of staying at.

This place has a lot of potential. Just something a little off with management cleanliness needs improvement, service needs improvement. Maintenance is an issue, while we were here, one of the staff fell through the decking at the pool. What if it was a guest who experienced that. We are generally very generous with complements where complements are due. But we just had a lot tiny things to complain about. Nkateko, one of the staff members was absolutely amazing. Thank you!

Lovely little place not far from JHB. But do not attend if you are expecting a quiet weekend with family or friends. We arrived on the Friday 3 Aug 2018 and at night could hear music from a bar down the road which i don't think ever stopped. The Saturday was fun and we enjoyed pool area. The staff were setting up for a "kitchen tea" later that day. The "kitchen tea" turned out to be a 16 hour+ party. I had to go and tell them to turn the music down at 00:45. The guests were not to happy and proceeded to play music from they're cars. They were also trying to talk at the top of they're voice. This only lasted till 04:30 Sunday morning. At 06:00 the guests used the runway to spin they're cars and make donuts on the grass. As we were having breakfast at the time, all the dust blew thru our camp site. We were trying to get hold of a manager or even the owner, but none of the staff wanted to give up the number. The staff asked us to excuse the other guests and that they could not do anything about the situation as the guests refused to listen to them. This is a nice lawless place perfect for teenagers and young adults that don't mind a racket and want to make some themselves.

Great place and they were very accommodating after our booking at another lodge fell through. Their heated pool had our attention the whole weekend πŸ˜…

Very beautiful and we really enjoyed their pool. The only thing that need attention is their 6 sleepers don't have enough pots, wine and whiskey glasses. They don't supply 6 bath towels only 4 towels. They need to work on improving those otherwise everything was fine no complain.

The place is beautiful, it just needs improvements and maintenance. The rooms are cement without tiles and mats. Electrical plugs hanging and exposed in the living area. No signage/direction from the gate to the reception. Play area, water slides were very dirty.

We went camping there. Beautiful and intimate. The only problem is the running of the place. The idea of camping for me is to get away from the buzz of the city, to relax in some peace and quiet. Sit around the fire while I eat potjie. Observe and appreciate nature at best. *Now there was a private party (there was nothing private about it though) at their restaurant /club house from late afternoon till late. The volume of the music was enough to blast one's eardrums. *Then the following morning there was litter everywhere. Bins were full to the brim and no cleaner in sight, literally the whole day. *There was no water on the water slide. The kids were frustrated. *We dreaded showering because when we touch the taps and the walls with wet hands, it felt as though we were being electrocuted. Weirdest, most uncomfortable experience ever.
