Very good hotel. Centrally and conveniently located as we could walk to shops, restaurants, sights, etc. Superb and helpful concierge. Wonderful buffet breakfast including breads, cheeses, eggs, fruits and freshly squeezed juice by Julio. They have Coffee machines which make freshly brewed coffee including cortada. They also have a gym which we used and swimming pool which we didn’t use. Room service is available. We were also able to get a sofa bed for kids so it’s family friendly. Airport pickups can also be arranged for a reasonable fee. Would definitely stay there again

Extremely poor experience. Stayed with my wife and two kids and the room was horrible. One of the worst ever. 6th floor and no light whatsoever (in a room for four people). Provided feedback and it was ignored. I suggest a new name for the hotel: Novotel Madrid Alcatraz, since the experience must be pretty similar.

The hotel is very conveniently located right in the heart of the city. Nothing is very far from here. Lots of places to eat close by. The hotel is large and efficient. Everything works. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The breakfast spread is very elaborate with options for everyone. I am largely a vegetarian, especially outside India and faced no issues in finding a decent veggie spread too. The elevators are small, slow and too cramped for my comfort. It's once you get to the floor, you see the enormity of the hotel. It is easy to get lost. My room was large and nice. Everything works and all seemed nice and clean. The thing that i missed the most was a large window allowing natural light to come into the room. Other than that, there wasn't any challenge. I will happily stay at this hotel and am equally happy recommending this hotel to any traveller whether travelling for work or business

Stayed 2 night for a conference, hosted at the hotel. All common areas was open, airy and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms as expected at the price-range, clean and with adjustable aircondition. Overall a four star hotel experience as expected, no big positive surprises and nothing negative to point out. Close proximity to the Metro, so basically walking distance to most points of interest within the centre of Madrid.

Overall very good. Excellent breakfast buffet (though the scrambled eggs are a bit too runny for me and lukewarm). Accommodating and friendly concierge and reception. Comfortable room and bed and decent enough shower water pressure. Also didn’t hear any noise from other rooms. Very small gym has decent weights and one treadmill. Warning it gets crowded early in the AM. Cons are a toilet that weirdly is so powerful it actually shoots toilet water back up. Gross 🤮 TV has no English channels (save for music videos) and very limited options otherwise. And a very NON environment friendly hotel, with individual toiletries (that smell lovely) and no recycling bucket given in the room. Also as I was there for a conference I saw there was no separate plastic disposal provided so saw plastic bottles in the rubbish. Very disappointing. As per the lobby, there are scant outlets to charge laptops so struggled to find a place to work.

Clean, modern well located, out of this world breakfast! Super helpful staff, very pleasant bar. In our group we were the only ones with poor water pressure. The rooms were clean and well cared for, rather basic without enough surfaces for more than one suitcase. Climate control was excellent, room service was discreet and thorough. I'd go back willingly.

Looking for a modern hotel not too far from the city center? This is your pick! The staff are very attentive and helpful with all needs. Like most people in Madrid they speak English which is very helpful for non-Spanish speakers. It is right next to the metro and supermarkets for your basic food and hygiene supplies. They have a bar and large screen tv where the pass their famous Spanish football matches and the atmosphere is very energetic. Rooms are nice and well kept. The only thing I have to say is the rooms are somewhat tight. Other than that it’s a hotel I would definitely be returning to.

Rooms are okay (beds, shower were fine but our door frame was completely separated from the wall). Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The rest of our experience was very poor. Their food is terrible: greasy and bland. We ordered out food and tried to sit near the pool bar (to eat our food and order drinks from the bar). Bar staff came up to us very rude saying we couldn't sit there because it's a restaurant. There was no signage (at any of the restaurants or online) and there were people next to us doing the same thing. There was no way for us to know, but yet they approach us very aggressively. Tried to sit a few other places in the hotel (like in the lobby) and again, got kicked out very rudely. There is no way I will be returning to this hotel after how they treated us. Plenty of other hotels in the area.

Wonderful hotel, located not far from the centre, customer service is absolutely fantastic! Yuri at reception,Luciano at the pool, ladies at the bar,at the restaurant, the dining hall, room cleaning team-everyone been so kind and helpful! Breakfast was good and we had good variety for everyone, fresh food and drinks. Easy to book activities and get everywhere. We just don’t want to leave! Highly recommend!

Stayed as part of a Globus tour. Clean. Large lobby with 24 hour bar, decent restaurant. In room coffee. Good breakfast. Walkable location. Rooms way to hot, no AC during our stay. Too loud to open windows. Linens cheap and old flat pillows.

A great city hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent - a nice variety of different dishes, fresh squiced juices and smoothies. The hotel restaurant is also very good, with a lot of delicious dishes and reasonable prices.

Very nice hotel. Rather central in Madrid. Modern and quite rooms. Breakfast is very complete and diversified (and good), the bar is always full of life.

This was a brilliant hotel - the first bay feedback that I would offer is that the shampoo that was stocked in the shower makes the room smell a little like a gym locker room afterwards. Bit strange when you first walk out to the room but the rooms are clean and tidy!

The hotel is huge. Also, personally speaking it's on the wrong side of Retiro Park, away from most exciting things in Madrid. The rooms are spacious and comfortable as are the bathrooms but the decor throughout is bland, mainly beige & brown or grey. The worst thing is the nasty chemical "air freshener" which hits you as you enter the lobby. 2 people in my party felt really unwell after just 10 minutes breathing it in. As hotels go, not my favourite though I must say the staff were friendly and courteous.

Nice hotel, great breakfast but compare with last time we stayed lack of little good pastry. And we remembered last time we had calamar in the bar restaurant but this time they changed the menu unfortunately calamar not in the menu anymore.

Breakfast is good. Rooms are more standard. Service is ok, but not special. It is a good hotel but from a 4 star hotel I expect more.

Great location near transportation. Easy walk to the Retiro Park, Puerta del sol, Plaza Mayor and other numerous touristy spots. Easy walk almost everywhere in the city Hotel Staff is super friendly and helpful. Hotel food is very Good. Rooftop bar and pool.

Nice stay at the Novotel. The hotel is massive! The lobby bar is always vibrant full of people. The room was good and had all the essentials. Price and location good! Slight disappointment of the smokers outside the entrance all day and night and the room had poor ventilation (damp smell on entering) WiFi connection was terrible - very slow. Same for TV reception - kept cutting out saying no signal

When in Madrid, we always stay here. Location is great, since you can get anywhere walking by, nice restaurants, shops, metro station. The Hotel has great accomodation for couples and family. Service from the staff is great. Value for the money is excellent. Highly recommended!

Had a great stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful with an excellent level of English. The room was clean when I arrived and the roomservice did a great job every day. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options and most of the food was good. Will say that it was a bit expensive (you get what you pay for I suppose). A coffee at the bar was ~€4 while at a bar around the corner it was ~€2 with better quality in my opinion. Location is good, walking distance to various parks and shopping/food districts. When done exploring the immediate vicinity it’s also close to metro stations and bus stops.

We stayed at this hotel with a tour group. It is a new big modern hotel. The location is great, there are many restaurants and shops in the walking distance. The breakfast buffet has a big variety of food selection. The food was fresh and delicious. The hotel has a pool and the terrace, but it was closed when I was going to check it. The only thing I didn't liked was the room. The bed was small and not comfortable. The room didn't have a coffee machine also with was also downgrade for us.

Nice Novotel - rooms are par for the course but the broader facilities are quite extensive. Breakfast is very good and handy if you prefer to eat breakfast before 11am. Fitness room had great equipment, but needs some maintenance. The small pool is ideal for guests up to 12, but adults likely won't find any use to it.

Nice hotel. The location is a bit far from the historic district. The pool is small but refreshing on the hot summer days.

The old hotel ConvenciĂłn with an amazing, modern, face-lift!! Even that I only used it always for business, it is a very central for tourism as well. Walking distance to Retiro park. Con: if you are there with a car there is only a public parking direct at the entrance (very practical!), but not cheap.

Definitely a great place to stay. It's clean, has lots of services and is close to the underground. Kettle on the room and full air condition. Great internet speeds too. Breakfasts is amazing. Will stay again.

Nice staff in the restaurant, well located. HOWEVER: 11pm, I need water. I went downstairs to buy a bottle from the vending machine, since I ran out of it. I could’ve called the front desk, I know. No still water in the vending machine. I asked the front desk for water, in person, and they said (IN A FOUR STAR HOTEL): “there is a Chinese market around the corner, you can buy there”. Really, Novotel!? It wasn’t vodka, mango juice or mulled wine. IT WAS WATER.

Everything was super clean, this hotel is clearly well mantained. The rooms have everything you would expect for a hotel of this category. Breakfast is decent (though bacon was way too chewy and the scrambled eggs had clearly been there for a while, and were not even warm). I would give it 4-5 stars overall, but something about this hotel really bothered me: the cleaning staff kept opening our room's door during the morning without knocking. I get it, they are doing their job, and we could have put the "do not disturb" sign on the outer door knob. But still, please tell your staff to knock on doors before opening them... It really isn't that hard.

Good location, decent sized room, nice bathroom, good amenities, a vast breakfast spread and friendly staff are positives. Difficult elevators and shutting out sunlight inside the hotel detract from this nice property!

I have stay at this hotel a few times already and never really had any issues. No real complains about the staff they all are very helpful. However, I have been to the restaurant a few times, never had any issues there but last night for the first time the service and treatment I received was not the best. First it took forever getting a menu, which I understood cause the restaurant was full, then waited forever to ordered to the point of getting up and ask the guy a the bar if I could order after waiting for a long period. He said he was busy so I had to wait even longer. And finally after I ate and finish when I went to pay they charged me my welcome drink, almost charged me my coworkers drink and believe I didn’t really received the 50% off I’m suppose to get. They are completely disorganized when it comes to service. There is no communication in between them. No teamwork. I understand that providing service is challenging, more so when you have a lot of people to tend to. But is not an excuse for being rude, more so when I’m trying to be nice.

I really like it there . Everyone was very pleasant and welcoming. When I originally made the reservation I didn’t choose the breakfast but when we got there the receptionist told me that it was really good and kids eat for free and it was true . It was really good and they have Spanish breakfast and also American. I definitely recommend it.

It's a very good large hotel with a great service team....Yuri on reception gets my highest praise for patience. The roof top pool and sun bathing area is a good plus.Close to the wizink arena, lots of shops and bars to be found outside. Be careful with the crazy room numbering system of odd and even numbered rooms being at opposite poles of the hotel.Enjoy.

Great location near by city center and easy walk to the park. Definitely will stay again here. Restaurent food was great. Didn’t have much choices but what they had was great menu.

If you want a good experience for your family, I highly recommend this hotel. Excellent location and proximity to landmarks in Madrid, and very close to Madrid Barajas Airport. The staff were friendly and wonderful. The man that works at the entrance of the Breakfeast buffet is extremely friendly and very attentive to the customers..

Hotel was in a good location. Nice restaurants close to the hotel. Room was big & clean. Will return to the hotel. If your booking doesn't have breakfast included plenty of small cafes close by to pick up something.

Very good breakfast and clean rooms, but for 200Euro/night they should offer more comfortable beds. I had very bad sleep there.
