Delicious food, comfortable atmosphere, and reservations are strongly recommended.

Lebanese food is always a good idea and Damas did not disappoint! Even though the place does not look appealing from the outside, the atmosphere and the vibe inside was wonderful! We ordered a menu for two - a set of 12 appetizers came within 10 minutes and all of them were absolutely delicious, tasty and with the perfect amount of spices! I could not fault any of them. Second part of the menu arrived on our table approximately 45 minutes later as the restaurant was fairly busy. I have to especially compliment the chicken as the flavours, taste and tenderness were off the hook, absolute top quality! The lamb was a bit chewy but overall good. Rice was perfectly done, wonderfully spiced. Nice touch were these little pieces of pizza bread with a little spicy kick to it. Lebanese red wine perfectly complemented the dinner. You could possibly get more meat for the money you pay, but on the other hand we barely finished the whole meal. Staff was very attentive and pleasant. There is a small seating area outside, however I feel it might be a bit noisy as the restaurant is located on the main road. We paid with a card. Visited in May 2022.

Syrian-lebanese restaurant with very good middle-eastern food. Great place to share one of the 12 or more item selections on the menu. The drink service is a bit slow, and some items on the drink list aren't actually available. Otherwise, no complaints.

Finally came here after wanting to try this restaurant since we moved to Mainz and it did not disappoint! We are always looking for flavorful, ethnic foods in the area, and with Mainz being very limited in providing those, we were thrilled to find Damas. We had the 6 mezze starter menu which is a preset menu with some amazing spreads and fried goodies. I could eat just the appetizers and my tummy would be happy and full. The main course was delicious as well. The rice is soft, fluffy and flavorful, and the meats were all very tender and seasoned perfectly. I’m usually very wary of chicken, but the chicken was probably my favorite part of the main course! It was juicy and very well cooked. There was also this whipped garlic cream (not sure of the name) that really complimented the meats and was unlike anything else I have ever tasted. It had a very smooth consistency like the hummus, but was light and airy. Thanks for a wonderful meal and such friendly service!

A wonderful restaurant with really delicious Middle Eastern cuisine. The dining room was beautifully decorated, the atmosphere was perfect and our waiter was extremely kind and helpful. Also very family friendly. Highly recommended!

One of the best breakfast places in the city! The service and the owner lady was very kind and friendly. Everything was made fresh and delicious. The portions are big and very tasty. The home made hummus taste heavenly 🥰🥰🥰 not to mention the prices are very affordable!

I may be biased here, but in my opinion the price you pay is a lot more than what you get in value. The taste was just okay, the portions were too small for the price, and the waiters were just fine not the friendliest. Plus, there is no card payment here! And when asked why since the place is a bit on the pricey side so they should have card payments, the workers there said it was due to not stable Internet connection.

The food was great, but the staff could be more efficient - we had 2 mistakes in our food and drinks, and our bill took 15 mins as the splitting was made too complicated. But other than that, the food was genuinely good. Would recommend.

The food was good but its a bit pricy..i really like the dessert..

The food is nice but the service was bad. They just completely forgot one person's meal and didn't notice even when they brought the meal for the other 3 people on the table. I had to ask why that one meal was late, and they just said they forgot it. Also the empty plates of starters were sitting on our table for very long and no one came to take our orders.

Plenty of seating. Indoor and a few outdoor. We didn't have a reservation however they were able to seat us. Staff is friendly and spoke multiple languages. They were able to offer recommendations as well and 1 of us had dietary restrictions which they were able to accommodate and recommend. The food was delicious and filling. Good portions. The cold platter was very good. There's also a shisha place downstairs.

Very nice Syrian restaurant. Shared a vey good mezze with a friend. Tasty food, only down side was that their card machine wasn't working and had to run to the nearby atm to get cash. Would definitely recommend/go again.
