We had an absolutely amazing evening at this restaurant, where we enjoyed the six course tasting menu. The service was great, the pacing perfect, and everything tasted fantastic. The ambiance is upscale, but relaxed, helped by laid-back, but proper, servers. A few of the course were presented by the chefs themselves, which was fun and interesting. We had a great table with a nice view of the open kitchen, which kept us entertained between courses. The wine pairings were varied and interesting, and at a level you'd expect at a restaurant of this caliber. Highly recommended!

I expected some (boring) juices but the selection of non-alcoholic bewerages served with the food impressed me as much as the food did. My wife is quite picky when it comes to food but she enjoyed everything being served - i did as well! The atmosphere was also very nice. Our waiter was very attentive and cared about us. I am looking forward to enjoy another menu here sometime when i am in Gothenburg again.

Each course at SK Mat was crafted with a concept in mind drawn from traditional Swedish cuisine, such as beef tartare (the sliced beef), or duck (game), or sorbet (blueberries). Food was good, we wanted to do 6 course but because of time constraints we could do only 4 course and they were very particular about the time. Not sure how regular 6 course menus fit within the allotted time. Service was friendly but very very normal. Nothing more than a regular restaurant. Not a Michelin Star restaurant experience. Overall, food was good but did not feel like a Michelin star AT ALL.

Michelin level fine dining with relatively cheap prices. Tried the biggest set menu, 8 dishes for 900 SEK. Mostly food was beautifully prepared and tasty, especially sea food dishes were worth it. Some dishes were a bit boring though. Service was excellent although there was a strange gap in between, after the first few portions we had to wait a long time after which there rest of the started coming maybe a bit too fast. Definitely worth a visit anyway.
