Nice, affordable family spot surrounded in animals and nature. (Most animals are not caged) The staff are nice and knowledgable. The tour covers the museum, arboretum, animal orphanage and mini zoo. Museum has real fossils of a variety of animals including elephants ad snakes etc. PRICE 200n adults, 100 kids Playground 200n each. *note for owner - the key for the playground should be left in the office. The first time we went we had to wait a long time for someone to arrive with the key. The second time the children were not able to enter the playground as it was locked. We went there for educational purpose and it actually served the purpose to some extent. There we saw animal remains [wildlife museum], life animals but not many variations, and a wide collection of different species of plants. I learnt a lot and hope to visit again. Oh the environment is serene.

My experience at the National park service was a beautiful adventure. The park have some wild animals that enjoy a comfortable wild environment, I saw different specie of monkeys, antelopes, ostrich, crocodiles and turquoise. There is also a museum at the park where they have different animal skin and historical preservations of the park. The national park, have packages for individuals who desire to camp with provisions made for tenths to sleep at night. The environment is very quiet and peaceful with seats to relax inside the wild. Don't just read, be there!

Well, I was very happy seeing this park for the first but not until I visited Nairobi park Kenya that I realized that this is not a park. It should be called National Animal Museum. How many foreigners will spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars to come and check out what we have here. Federal Government should look into these packs as it may be a huge source of income instead of focusing on oil alone.

It's a very big premises with a lot of ongoing developmental projects on going. With the big premises, there's enough parking space for visiting motorists. The security and some staff are very helpful as I made effort to furfill my purpose of visitation.

It a great initiative and a good place to bring kids. However the facility is small with very limited animals to see. It is not a full zoo.

  • 4/5 Lovely L. 2 years ago on Google
There were lots of animals in Animal orphanage. A lot plants under the park reserve. Really liked the animal carcass that is collected in the museum of both carnivorous and herbivorous animals. But there is no food or drinks close by, anyone going has to be prepared for that.

The environment is nice, cool and calm. But the lack of wildlife/animals to be seen really brings the ratings down. I mean it's the National park, they can do better

A national park but needs more animals and funding. Managing the zoo through Public Private Partnership may be a rewarding option.
