You can’t really find much in this local market, it’s more like a student market as it’s located very close to the benue state university

It gets crowdy at the night season and less crowded in the day but at least one can get almost all fresh market basic need in it, and at an affordable rate...

A big market place that's disorganized. Shops are not numbered, making it difficult to find stuffs for a new buyer. They have a good security system and Union that governs the area. However, the place needs to be renovated to meet modern standards of a market. I saw a new plaza and a new park around the area. Still, I don't know how that will affect the place. It made it look nice from the outside tho.

Very crowdy and rough. If you know what you are looking for then you won't have issues navigating the market. I don't like the fact that they close by 6pm though.

Popular market in Benue state. A good place for shopping all kinds of commodities. Only problem is that the road in the market is somewhat bad, especially during rainy season.

This is Wurukum market , and it's located immediately before Pleasure park after Wurukum round about. Just like any other market in Nigeria, e.g watt market in Calabar, Wurukum sales different kind of food stuff ranging from yams, mangoes, oranges, bananas, plantains, and so many other food items. Again, add to the fact that Benue is known too be the food basket of the nation, Wurukum market has it all. This is besides the regular stuff one can find in a normal market. The market is open from Sunday to Saturday without any particular market day. If you love Tiv food, then Wurukum market is your best bet in Makurdi. Makurdi is the capital city of Benue state. However, I will urge the government to give more attention in developing the market more.

I didn't buy much at wurukum market but to my observation things are cheap, the market is mainly for food stuffs. You can get a lot of things at the market. Another observation is that the market is kinda dirty, though untidiness is more like the normal in Nigeria market, but wurukum is kinda too dirty. Thirdly,, as a result of the untidy state of the market, its advisable to wear rain boot during the raining season

It's a nice place to shop if you know your way around the market, one can get fresh produce at affordable prices at all times and every season of the year but the market is packed closely together that it makes movements difficult especially during festive periods
