Hiding
in
one
of
the
many
quiet
colonies
of
Secunderabad,
YK
Antiques
is
a
gem
of
a
place
for
people
of
all
ages.
Mr.
YK
Murthy,
the
curator
of
this
place,
has
turned
his
home
into
a
museum
with
such
dedication,
interest
and
care,
that
it
shows
from
the
second
you
step
foot
inside.
It's
a
whole
new
world!
My
family
and
I
spent
about
2
hours
in
the
evening
and
still
fell
short
of
time
with
so
many
more
stories
to
hear
about
all
the
different
collections.
There
were
items
ranging
from
as
small
as
spoons
to
as
big
as
full-fledged
furniture
that
easily
go
back
200
years!
Every
antique
inside,
projected
3
main
aspects
of
all
creations
of
the
time
-
Utility,
Durability
&
Beauty,
even
in
something
as
small
as
an
Agarbatti
stand.
More
importantly,
a
visit
to
this
place,
(irrespective
of
whether
or
not
history
and
culture
interest
you)
will
leave
you
with
an
inspiration
to
be
more
mindful
about
what
and
how
you
consume;
and
also
with
a
deep
appreciation
for
Indian
culture
and
the
ideology
of
our
ancestors
who
found
ways
to
incorporate
the
goodness
of
the
Earth
elements
into
their
daily
life
through
utensils
designed
specifically
for
different
kinds
of
food.
You'll
learn
a
lot
in
one
visit!
My
favorite
corner
of
the
museum
was
a
mini
Threshold
curtain-decoration
made
of
rice
husk
stitched
beautifully
for
a
door
that
was
put
together
with
block
designs
on
wood.
Highly
recommend
YK
Antiques
for
your
next
outing!!
Do
not
miss
this
one.
