DO NOT accept help from a guy named ARMSTRONG BATISTA. I was waiting for my Uber when he approached offering us taxi rides, tips and services from his travel agency. I politely mentioned I didn't have any interest but he was very pushy. He introduced himself, asked for our names and where we were gonna stay. Now, he knew our names and our hotel. One hour after arriving at the hotel, the phone rang and the front desk employee mentioned someone would like to speak with me and I had no idea who would be. He lied to the front desk employee saying I was interested in purchasing a 3 day package with him and that's why he was calling. I answer and again said I didn't have any interest in his services, since I already had booked all my travel with a high rated travel agency. I also mentioned his approach through the phone was quite aggressive. He then said he would be at the hotel at 6pm to meet me and show pictures of all the trips he could offer. Again I mentioned I didn't have any interest but he insisted in coming. I also asked the hotel employees to ignore all his calls if he tried to contact us again. At 6pm I went for a walk with my husband and we came back around 7:30pm. When we walked into the hotel lobby Armstrong was sitting there since 6pm. He came in my direction and I said in a very polite way THAT I WAS NOT INTERESTED in his services and after hearing that for the 5th time he left the hotel. Next day when I was talking to my travel agent, he mentioned that I took the best decision ignoring Armstrong since he's well known for being a scammer in Manaus. SO PLEASE BE EXTRA CAREFUL.

In the international side there's only one place selling water and stuff and this one place won't accept foreign credit cards - well done!

Smaller regional airport, but apparently does international flights probably due to the amount of tourist travel and also business travel (Samsung, Honda, Phillips all have facilities here). For a Smaller airport MAO still feels quite large. Plenty of seating and places to eat and shop.

Good airport, is clean and has lots of amenities. Was able to make it through even though I don't know Portuguese yet, only English. Has a 24 hour pharmacy, had rapid covid tests available but they are no longer free. For international departures, you sit in the waiting area and customs/immigration agents arrive 12am-2am and everyone begins getting checked and processed.

I arrived early am and it was mostly empty but it is spacious and the restaurants/bars/cafes are affordable.

Place is very clean, pay attention to the signs, easy to get disoriented. People!, please! Don't you know there is a pandemic disaster?? Jeez!

It's a sort of small international airport that nowdays works well.

It's an okay airport. Nothing terribly bad, but not breathtaking

A pleasant place, for an airport, ample internal space, modern and attends very well to the needs of that region. It is nice, clean, and has a few nice shops. (the shops are not cheap) Security line did not take long at all. There is free wi-fi (you just have to register). the parking isn´t cheap as well. There are direct public bus lines into the city, that are cheap and efficient, and it is easy to access via taxi(the most expensive ones). best option is to take a Uber There is some 24h ATM.

Has many things to improve. Let’s hope it gets better in the future.
