Excellent breakfast and more than you can eat. Great to start the day off after staying at the Citysuite ii. Well worth a visit

Had a fantastic meal here last night, food well presented and just delicious. The service is fantastic, our waitress Veronica was excellent and looked after us so well such a credit to the team. Stayed at the Citysuites so it was so good to find we could get a table and eat good quality food that was not over priced.

Joyce our server was friendly and provided an excellent service. Food was exceptional, salmon and King prawn linguine was delicious according to my fiance and was recommended by our server. I had the rump steak cooked rare, it came out perfectly. The signature chips are a must try almost like a fluffy roast potato.

Gorgeous setting and lovely food but the table service for breakfast is a bit chaotic. It’s one thing waiting for food but we had to wait almost half an hour just to get a glass of water and a coffee - breakfast was another 20 mins. Nice if you are not in a rush!!

We stayed at City Suites and never normally use the hotel restaurant…I am so glad we did this time! Really lovely food with exceptional service from Veronica. All of the staff were very pleasant and the food was faultless. The staff even bought out a birthday cocktail for my birthday which was a really lovely and personal touch. We really enjoyed our visit and will happily recommend to all of our friends and family who visit Manchester.

Best scallops dish I have ever eaten and the duck was also crazy. I had to ask the waitress who the head chef was I don’t think I’ve ever done that before!!! Just crazy The meat and fish were cooked to absolute perfection and the flavour combinations in the scallop dish

I love the decor and vibe. It is a bit more intimate than most restaurants in the are. The staff are lovely and the food is great. Throughout January it has been 30% off. I highly recommend the EK burger.

Extremely slow and poor service. Although it was busy, the benefit of the doubt can only cover so much. we came well before the end of breakfast at 10.15, we waited almost 30 minutes to be seated however it was busy so that was understandable. The service afterwards wasn’t. After waiting another 20 mins we had to usher a waitress to order. It took another 50 minutes for the 3 plates of food to arrive which is just unacceptable as the restaurant started to empty therefore the slow service wasn’t justified. To make matters worse people who were behind us in the line were served first and seemed to be taken more seriously than our party. In total we waited over 1h and 40 minutes to be seated and served which is absurd for 3 plates of breakfast… In addition the floor manager was condescending and rude.

Great restaurant. The beyond meat burger is recomm need, as is the seafood linguine. All well presented backed up by great service for a good price. Find yourself in this part of Manchester, it's well worth a visit.

I'm very impressed with my last visit at embankment kitchen. The food was lovely, enjoyed my starter and mail meal very much so. Prices are reasonable and there was also January deal which was a nice surprice. If you going by car I recommend looking for car park before.

Enjoyed a great meal with my lovely family, this was my perfect birthday dinner.

Food tasted just ok, the presentation was at least good and service was quick which is what youd expect from that kind of restaurant. Have been to better places but still what a try

The service was impeccable. The food was amazing, great inhouse made pie. Atmosphere was great. The live band finished off a great meal. Great song selection and the singers voice was beautiful. I will be returning when im back in Manchester.

Dined recently with friends after visiting Manchester for the day. Took advantage of the 40% off January offer. Both my friends had the homemade pie with a side of braised cabbage, and I had the cod loin on a bed of linguine. The pies were delicious and full of meat. Unfortunately, the linguine was full of chilli's, and they were a little overpowering to the fish dish. For dessert, I ordered the sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. Nice light and fluffy sponge and tasty vanilla ice cream. Staff were attentive until we asked for the bill. After waiting 20 minutes with the bill no one came back to the table to take payment, so we went to the till to pay. Asked to split the bill by what we had to eat and drink, and the waitress said it couldn't be done, it could only be split into thirds. Said okay, remove the service charge, and I worked and out what everyone owed in my head with the discount so we could pay separately. Also, sneaky, the 10% service charge is based on the original cost and not the discounted cost. What a palaver at the end of a meal. However, we all said we would return at full price.

I had a breakfast first time in Manchester, and I stayed at city suite for one night and I had a chance to have included breakfast and the staff at the restaurant was amazing great food,and specially one of the waiters was here Ella she’s one of the waiter’s she was super nice,I really enjoyed having breakfast at there. Thank you very much Ella:) definitely I’ll come back again!

This is only for breakfast. Other meals might be just fine. They are overwhelmed with two full hotel buildings. Served part after 20 minutes. Another 20 minutes to get the other persons. Coffees never received. Burnt eggs. It was kinda gross. Servers really trying but they were overwhelmed and quality suffers. We cancelled next two breakfasts though included in hotel price.

Excellent restaurant Everything was clean; staff well dressed, kind and professional. Food was AMAZING. I ordered a salmon with prawns and pasta and I loved it. My husband ordered lamb and it was delicious. Meat was perfectly cook. I recommend this place to everyone but it’s great for a romantic dinner or a date.

Food was nice however we did wait a rather long time for the breakfast and took a while to have our order taken. Staff weren't very attentive. I feel like the kitchen and service team were let down by a lack of staffing as when dealt with 1 to 1 the service team were brilliant however as a whole I feel a lot more could be done to improve the overall experience. Also forgot my toast as part of my full English.

The place is ok. Visually fancy and cozy (maybe a music a bit loud for the atmosphere). The service is very good and polite. Yet, the main reason for low grade is food. The steak that I ordered was mediocre, low on salt and paper. Potato wasn’t tasty as well and low on salt. In summary, can’t really recommend for the price.

Had my graduation celebration here, the food was delicious with huge portions and friendly, professional staff! I can only recommend, great restaurant!
