Dined
recently
with
friends
after
visiting
Manchester
for
the
day.
Took
advantage
of
the
40%
off
January
offer.
Both
my
friends
had
the
homemade
pie
with
a
side
of
braised
cabbage,
and
I
had
the
cod
loin
on
a
bed
of
linguine.
The
pies
were
delicious
and
full
of
meat.
Unfortunately,
the
linguine
was
full
of
chilli's,
and
they
were
a
little
overpowering
to
the
fish
dish.
For
dessert,
I
ordered
the
sticky
toffee
pudding
and
ice
cream.
Nice
light
and
fluffy
sponge
and
tasty
vanilla
ice
cream.
Staff
were
attentive
until
we
asked
for
the
bill.
After
waiting
20
minutes
with
the
bill
no
one
came
back
to
the
table
to
take
payment,
so
we
went
to
the
till
to
pay.
Asked
to
split
the
bill
by
what
we
had
to
eat
and
drink,
and
the
waitress
said
it
couldn't
be
done,
it
could
only
be
split
into
thirds.
Said
okay,
remove
the
service
charge,
and
I
worked
and
out
what
everyone
owed
in
my
head
with
the
discount
so
we
could
pay
separately.
Also,
sneaky,
the
10%
service
charge
is
based
on
the
original
cost
and
not
the
discounted
cost.
What
a
palaver
at
the
end
of
a
meal.
However,
we
all
said
we
would
return
at
full
price.
