1/5 Overall 1/5 for ambience. Dining area’s cleanness not matching up to this pricing. 1/5 for service 4/5 for food: portion overall could be improved / beef veal taste is not good: too sour. Else are fine 1/5 for mocktails. Overpriced for food/service and dining environment. For this price you can really get happier experiences and better food elsewhere.

First time we've dined here and never eaten French cuisine before even though we've been to frence ! What can I say it was so delicious 😋 the pigeon wings and burger was to die for 😋 and the stuffed duckling was so tasty. The wife had scallops and stuff chicken which she said was just so nice . But I definitely recommend the pigeon burger 🍔 .

The food was delicious, had the oyster and duck to start then both had the veal. I had the sweet chestnut sauce for desert which I wouldn't order again to be fair, not that it was unpleasant, it just wasn't up to the standard of the starters and mains. Great wine list and a funky Halloween cocktail. The staff were cracking too, very nice and accommodating. Fully recommend and we will be back 🙂

The food is not bad but I believed it is overpriced. I have ordered a their signature 63 degrees chicken for my main which is nice, tender, full of flavour, crispy skin. But basically this is it, no garnish at all. My partner ordered a fish which is just average. One of my friends order a medium fillet steak but it was cooked as medium well. It was not cooked well neither without having any nice crust outside. The main issue of our experience is the service. We waited for more than 40min after we finished our starters. We quickly finish my mains in 20min and when we are handed with a desert menu. We were told we only have 25min left for our table. The waiter sounded like we are the guys that intentionally eat that long but not considering the fact that we have waited 40min for the mains to be served. Overall food is not bad but overpriced with improvements for the service

If you're looking for amazing food and service, this is where it's at. My wife and I loved every dish, the food here is on another level. True French cuisine at it's finest.

A wonderful taste of France right here in the northern Quarter of Manchester. Wonderful old school French food with good wine options and an informal smart dining room.

Date of visit July 2022. Food and service was very good. I had the beef, which was very nice. This is a French restaurant, so they usually cook it under than expected hence why i asked for medium-well done. I got medium cooked. However a member of the kitchen did check if everything was ok with the food. The potato dauphinoise were very delicious. Great location in the Northern quarter. My only criticism is that its slightly overpriced.

Really enjoyed this one, the steak was absolutely amazing and all the sides came as a great compliment to the overall food experience. The service was remarkable and there is a genuine interest from the staff to provide the highest quality of service. Great atmosphere as well, you can see people enjoying their food and just having a good time. I genuinely couldn’t fault this place at all. Pricing wise, its slightly higher than places around but you get what you pay for, we will be back!

Found this restaurant on Michelin guide. Not bad. Its appointed about the signature 63 degree chicken - a bit overcooked, but we found the duck fillet and the fish which in the tasting menu were amazing! Actually its not really a pricey one. the main was like 20 quid which still a good deal for a dinner :)

The quality of their steak is so bad , it’s more like meat from Asda’s value range , very chewy and full of gristle and they charge over £70 for that. Service was average not once did the waiter came over to ask how was the food. I guess he know the food was bad. 2 mains 1 sharing main 1 starter and a cocktail came to just under £280

Very attentive staff, very knowledgeable about wines to compliment the meal we had, fine dining portions were well cooked and just perfect size. The puddings are so rich and wonderful they were a rare treat!. Perfect place for a loving couple to sit and gaze into eachothers eyes in-between bites.myself and my girlfriend had a great time.

A big wowww!!! This restuarant really deserves a big applaud. Food is excellent and the staff courtesy makes it stand on top. Specially fine deserts makes the end remarkable.

Excellent menu and hip location opposite the preserved facade of the old fish market. Superb service, with the chef able to serve an off menu variation based on ingredients on the main menu. Excellent wine menu with quality French wines and friendly sommelier/wine waiter. Slightly disappointed without the special - lobster risotto - which was a little stodgy and heavy and under-seasoned (pictured) but then, I guess I shouldn't order an Italian speciality in a French restaurant.

This restaurant is a gem. Wonderful food. Lobster salad included large, choice pieces of lobster and was very tasty. Whole meal was excellent. Good wine list. Staff were lovely. Will definitely be back.

This restaurant is a very special place for me and my fiance and is our first choice to go to when dining in Manchester for special occasions. Last night as always did not disappoint as always, the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the food and wines, my partner had the lobster which was cooked beautifully, and I chose the special which was wagu steak, it was cooked to perfection and was accompanied by an excellent red that was recommended by the waiter. Can't wait to go back, if you want go for fine dining in Manchester this is the place to go, can't recommend it enough. Thanks again for looking after us John and Rach

What a meal. Pricey but worth going as a treat. French dishes, beautifully prepared and served by courteous people who clearly enjoy their work. We ordered home made fois gras with glasses of Sauternes. Lovely texture and flavour. The house speciality - Vollaile 63 Degres (chicken sous vide to you and me) - was superb. The salmon was also excellent. A special mention at his point for the courgette muffins with tomato butter. Main dishes were accompanied by a Chablis. For dessert we shared strawberry soup. What a finish! Felt like bursting into the kitchen and hugging the chefs. But then I wouldn’t be allowed back - so took an Uber to Schofields instead…

Food tasted fine but the portion sizes were ridiculous. The interior and cleanliness did not match the price point or the pretentious atmosphere. I asked for wine to be brought out at the time of food and instead it was poured and kept in a glass at the back for 20 minutes while food was being prepared, following which I was given 15% service charge when any half decent place should know wine changes flavour and temperature in a glass. Wanna be classy restaurant in reality.

We have been looking forward to our booking, the restaurant was nicely set up and initial feeling was great. It all went downhill when the food was served. I ordered a duck fillet and it was perfect, my two friends however ordered two monkfishes and one was very salty and the other was very bland, even with the sauce. They mentioned it to the waiter and finished the fish purely out of politeness and didn’t want to waste food, perhaps this was the mistake, they should have sent it back right there and then. The head chef (or the owner? He wasn’t working in the kitchen but was referred to as the chef) came over and gave my friends a speech about how it is impossible for the monk fish to be bland, he said too salty he can understand and offered to take it off the bill but insisted we pay for the other dish because it’s impossible for the monk fish to be bland, implying that it was my friend who was the trouble maker here. They both tasted my duck and said it was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and wished they’d ordered the duck instead, so there’s nothing wrong with their taste. We didn’t want to make a scene so we settled the bill. We didn’t come here to look for a discount on the bill we just wanted to have a good dinning experience matching the expectations. It was very disappointing to get treated in such a condescending and mortifying way that one rarely come across nowadays. Even if it’s the case regarding different tastes, he could at least acknowledged it was not a great experience for a customer and it can be improved, rather than how he’d come across in this case and felt he was entitled to tell a customer what is possible or impossible for their own taste! It’s not about the money but considering the price they charge for the dishes, it was just not worth it. The waiter was friendly and kept apologising for what happened but it’s not his fault. The wines were good too. One star for the waiter and one star for the duck fillet. Very disappointed and will not be visiting again. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone I know.

Really disappointed meal😮‍💨 Starter: Foie Gras A piece of pate which is not outstanding at all Main: Rack of Lamb + Beef Fillet + Lobster Burger + Scallop Salad We ordered medium rare, and all came out medium well~well done. Took us ages to cut the meat and quite a small portion for the scallop salad. Taste was acceptable but not meeting a restaurant standard. Service: Nothing special. Did ask us how was the food, reply from the waitress: I will tell the chef. End of story. We spent over £160 for the dinner so .. Definitely not recommending

Really poor service, I can’t comment on the food as we left before we even had any. We were seated quickly and our food and drinks orders were taken. We waited 45 minutes and didn’t even get a drink. We asked about our drinks after about 30 minutes of waiting and were told they would be 2 minutes. When it got to 45 minutes, we told the waiter that we would be leaving. He told us to wait 15 seconds as the drinks were ready and coming. We waited and nothing came so decided to leave. As we were leaving we could see them just starting to make our drinks. The restaurant wasn’t that busy either. Considering how much they charge for the food there you just expect the service to be good, but it was really disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be going again.

Very disappointed with booking weeks before, arriving early, and still getting a table literally next to the cashier and antibactireal gel point. When we arrived early there were multiple empty tables for two and still they did not allow us to change tables to a better space 🙄 Food is good though. Just make sure to write in your booking that you one a nice table not on top of the cashier to avoid 🤷‍♀️ we ended up having a quick dinner and leaving to have wine and dessert somewhere more enjoyable.

Me and partner dined here for the first time as recommended by our daughter, and I can't praise it enough. Its a small intimate restaurant set in The Northern Quarter. The staff were lovely and the food is the nicest I've had for a long time if not ever. We had Oysters and Pan Fried Scallops for starters, followed by Duck for the main and Chocolate Fondant for dessert. I can't recommend it enough and have already booked to go back again. This will definitely be our go to place from now on..

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
