Unfortunately it wasn’t great, and I am a great lover of tapas. The seat was covered in crumbs when I sat down which dug into my legs. The house wine was expensive for a house offering. There were fruit flies in the restaurant and one landed in my wine. We ordered prawns for £10 and received only 4 small prawns. That’s £2.50 a prawn! In my opinion - extortionate. The pardon peppers had no salt on so I had to salt them myself. The service was over attentive if anything. We were asked the same question by at least two members of staff. I also wasn’t a fan of the menu being online. I like to compare options and you cannot do that while scrolling. Overall I’m sorry to say, I thought it was overpriced for average food. Hopefully this was a one off and it’s usually better.

As a Spaniard, this restaurant didn't dissapoint. Also quite authentic Canary Islands. A truly lovely Spanish restaurant. This place is great. A very relaxed owner. Good authentic Spanish food paired with good wines and Sangria's. Great value too with good size portions. Reccomendation is the Mojo with Papas arrugadas, and seabass with Mojo. Speciality from Canary Islands.

Really nice place for few tapas and a drink. We didn't have the opportunity to go inside the restaurant and try all the food but what we've tried so far is so good!!

What a lovely find. Authentic tapas cooked in a family-owned restaurant, in the city centre but tucked away. Based on Canarian cuisine. The staff were charming and really happy we were enjoying the food. We had a mixture of small plates; chicken croquetas, ‘wrinkled potatoes’ served with delicious Mojo Rojo and Mojo Verde sauces, Gambas Volcán (stand out flavours), sardines and albondigas. Everything was delicious. Glasses of Albariño and white Rioja washed it all down nicely. A coffee and pistachio ice cream rounded the meal off. Definitely be back.

The food is quite good but there are a few things that can be improved. They should bring some bread with the cheese and fries with the meat, that's a basic in Spain. The service is slow, we ordered bread and it was the last thing to arrive to the table. After 15 minutes waiting to order dessert we decided to leave without any pudding.

Startlingly simple yet strikingly sophisticated, La Bandera is there to stay. The menu, called up by that QR code in the picture, is just one example of a lack of clutter. The food is divine.

The atmosphere and decor here was initially really inviting and made us feel very comfortable. However the food and slow service really let it down. It is a shame because the waiter we had was extremely attentive and gave us lots of recommendations but I had to ask for the table to be cleared on 2 occasions and it took them so long to get to it. Also the food was nice but really nothing special for the price of it. I wouldn't recommend it when there are so many other great places for food in Manchester.

Fantastic experience, great staff! I had a surprise meal booked for my birthday and it couldn’t have been better. The staff were patient, kind, bubbly and went the extra mile to ensure my day was special. Thankyou so much La Bandera, we will be back again

Food was absolutely exquisite and this is HIGHLY recommended. I should have taken more pictures but the music was the perfect level, the lighting and ambiance was romantic and every part of our experience was excelletnt. The service was incredible and the wine was perfect for our last night in the UK. The pork and mango, meatballs, hard cheese and churros are all recommended. Silvia was our server and all of her recommendations were perfect and it was some of the best service we experienced in the country. Definitely make sure you visit this place while in Manchester.

This is a friendly tapas restaurant, food is very nice. Highly recommended if you travelling around Manchester City. The churros are amazing, it’s the best one I had in the UK.🔥

Went for bottomless brunch and it was lovely. The food and drinks were great! Good value £42 for a starter and 3 tapas and bottomless drinks, including cocktails for 90 mins. Staff were lovely and gave very good service! Will be back!

It's a real shame as we were so looking forward to it. The experience was really rushed. We hadn't even finished our bread to start when within 3 minutes the food started coming out, so it made us question the freshness of the produce. We were literally done and finished within 30 minutes which was a real shame as we were out celebrating a birthday and wanted a nice relaxing meal. We did explain our frustrations to the manager who kindly brought over a complimentary drink and added a discount to the bill to make up for it.

I had an amazing time at La Bandera, a charming Spanish restaurant in the heart of the city. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff who recommended the tender pork cheeks that were bursting with flavor. The cozy and rustic ambiance added to the experience, and the menu featured vibrant and fresh Spanish dishes. I highly recommend La Bandera for an authentic and delightful dining experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The quality of the food was good but I was not blown away. I have had better tapas at a couple of other places in Manchester. The menu was only online, which I personally don't like as it takes away from the experience of looking over the menu. I felt I was being a little rushed ordering and most of the dishes we ordered all came very quickly, and I felt the table space was a bit too small. The table service and the staff were very efficient, maybe too efficient. I picked up the last piece of bread and even before I could dip they were taking away the basket and dip away! The decor and general upkeep in the place were a little worn, and I felt like some things needed a bit of TLC and maybe some items replaced. They automatically added a 10% service charge as well (when there were only 2 of us) which I think is plain rude as well. It would have been good for a quick bite to eat before a theatre show but not for a relaxed meal with your significant other.

Booked a birthday bottomless brunch, and we had high hopes due to the price of £42 per head. In 90 minutes we only had 5 drinks, all of which we had to ask for the staff to come to serve us each time, we were never offered a jug of sangria as 6 of the 8 of us were drinking this, but saw this offered to other tables as we had finished our table. The food was nice, but the portions were smaller then we expected - even for tapas. For us all, it was expensive compared to others on the market.

Lovely welcoming, warm and peofessional. Tapas style serving and ordering. As expected. Food was delicious, the Carrilleras de cerdo was honestly impeccable. The Patatas Bravas (a staple of Tapas cuisine), was amazing, but the sauces paired were a highlight. You don't often get sauces to enhance the bravas at restaurants in Manchester. The pricing was more than fair, and the paella is a must get, even if you have a few Tapas on the side. The only downside was the Lubina al Mojo Verde (Seabass), was overcooked and dry and cold. Not sure what happened here, assumed it was just left too long to cook, then too long to make it's way from the kitchen to table. However, when pointed out to waitress (Angel), it was rectified and comped as it was just an honest mistake. The friendless of all the staff plus the quirky decor (yellow seating etc) in makes this a gem within Manchester. I definitely recommend and will be back again!

For a small little Spanish bar the staff were lovely and the food was exceptional. Having a bottomless brunch there did not disappoint. Would recommend and at a great price too

Had a lovely night with the taster menu with my partner. Great explanation of food and wine, fairly priced. Was a little bit chilly, may have had problems with heating but didn't ask.

Tapas was so stunningly gorgeous here and we highly recommend. House white/rosè wine was reasonable and delicious, served in a big lovely cold wine glass. Whilst the nine dishes that we picked were just incredible! So flavoursome. They were rather large too in comparison to other tapas dishes we have order in the past from other restaurants, these were super filling and satisfying. Our evening was made even better by the fabulous, charming waiters / waitress that were so lovely and smiley throughout. We will be back. Thank you!

Went here with the family for Tapas during a weekend break to Manchester. All the food was delicious - I couldn't fault a single thing. The staff were friendly and welcoming and were very knowledgeable and able to offer advice on what to order if you were unsure. The kids really enjoyed it. It was my daughters first tapas experience and she said she'd definitely want to do it again. High praise from a 12 year old!! The only (minor) niggle. Like a lot of places, they add a (discretionary!?) 10% service charge onto the bill. Which kind of feels like you are being forced to tip. Now, don't get me wrong, I would have tipped anyway because it was delicious but to be obliged to kind of irritates me. I wish restaurants wouldn't do this.

Food was good quality, but tapas portion tad small. No air con on a hot day didn't help, and think the staff struggled a bit in the heat. Worth going in the evening as atmosand ambience will be better

Came for tapas with family before heading to the arena for a concert. Fantastic service and fabulous food. We were early but they happily accommodated us and nothing was to much effort. This wasn't our first visit and will not be our last. Highly recommend.

They were able to seat us without a prior reservation. Try the paella with octopus ink..I only had to travel to Manchester to taste the best paella in my life so far.

I went with my wife for a belated anniversary dinner and the staff treated us wonderfully. Every dish we ordered came out quickly and tasted amazing. Very authentic Spanish cuisine, full of flavour and just the right sized portions. Gambas Vulcan is especially recommended.

Good selection of tasty Tapas and friendly service. Only downside on our visit was despite listing four different Brandy on the menu, they had none in stock at all.

Possibly the best tapas in Manchester. This is a wonderful little hidden-gem of a place. The staff were attentive, the food came out at a good pace and was delicious (special mention for the Gambas Volcán!) We had ordered take-out from here during Lockdown 1, and enjoyed it so much we were quite eager to dine-in. Absolutely worth it! Would highly recommend

A great tapas place in Manchester! The food was delicious, the tapas were a really good size for the price. The service was good and there was a nice ambience in the outdoor seating area.

Lovely bottomless brunch. Potatas bravas were yum! And good supply of cava...just a shame when you run out of time. Very friendly staff too

We went for the bottomless brunch, it is not very good value for money. Very small tapas menu, 6 choices, 3 allowed. One beer choice. Too busy on the back holiday Friday to get attentive service. Staff were friendly though.

Great service, delicious food. The only weak point were the mushrooms, whcih lacked some flavour and the loudness of the restaurant. But i cannot fault it otherwise. Great selections of wine too.

We had the marvellous deal of a bottle of wine plus 6 tapas 💞. Delicious! We can tell it's homemade food with the perfect combination of ingredients. It reminds me of my hometown and the wonderful and tasty flavour of high quality homemade food.

Highly recommended tapas restaurant, food is fantastic and great selection of dishes. Service was very good too and friendly. Only tiny gripe was no physical menu's available, you have to use your phone to select your dishes. Fine for us but a struggle for the table next to us. We'll be back soon!

We came in on Thursday and Angel was our host/waiter and he was amazing! It was a bit busy and perhaps there should have been another host as he was the only one working bar and floor. Food and drinks were good.

Went out last night and had the best paella in Manchester! Not only was the food beautiful but the alcohol paired with was thoughtful, well informed and delicious! The staff are super welcoming, friendly and are amazingly well informed about the background and origins of the food. So you get a lovely dinner and bite sized history lesson about Spanish culture too!

Great restaurant. Ordered the meatballs as missed my Mum's version, and the sauce was just perfect. The pork knuckle was so tasty. Good croqueta too!

Absolutely amazing food and the staff make it even better(and that’s a difficult one as the food is that good) my fiancé and I had the taster menu and oh my wow!! So so worth it! One of the best meal we’ve had! And we eat out a lot. Lorena and Argyno was brilliant! Thank you so much for an amazing surprise meal ❤️

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
