Fantastic brunch! From the generous portion sizes to the friendly servers, nothing disappointed. The food was great and complimented by the cosy and cafe environment. Perfectly poached, runny eggs and my brother couldn’t stop going on about the homemade beans!

Gorgeous cafe! Popped in for breakfast whilst staying in the area for a night. Welcoming friendly atmosphere, quick service and great selection of options including well labelled allergens and vegan, nut free and gluten free cakes. We were given some toys for our 4 year old and an extra strawberry to go with his banana bread! Really pleased we stumbled across this cafe and would definitely come back!

What a cute little eatery. They cater for different dietary needs, which is awesome. You can sit inside or right at the very back is a little garden area with four tables so you can take in the sunshine and have fresh air as it's away from the traffic and its fumes. The ladies that were there when I visited were very helpful, informative about the foods/drinks they were serving, polite and welcoming. The chef was very friendly and came to check everything was OK for us.

Fabulous place, brilliant choice of tea and coffee, speciality choices etc. Excellent for brunch, lunch, cake etc. Lots of vegan, gluten free and nut free options. The food is always good quality. Photos of raspberry & vanilla cake, and Turkish apple cake.

Lovely selection of cakes. Perfect for afternoon tea. Always busy place. Portions I think are on the large side... No danger of going away hungry. Coffee is very good here. Seasoning could be a bit better in some of the menu choices but very pleasant atmosphere.

After a late morning walk, we visited the Tea Hive in Chorlton and were greeted by the staff with smiles and a bowl of water for the dogs. The hospitality was exceptional. We had the vegetarian breakfast, which was a first time ever for me as I'm not a vegetarian but the food was absolutely delicious. Our friend had the eggs Benedict which he said was amazing too. We will definitely be coming back and would recommend to anyone looking for some breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Fabulous afternoon tea and the staff were so kind and helpful. So much they gave us containers to take some home. Congratulations to all the staff for a lovely treat. Definitely the place to go for good, wholesome, home cooked food for everyone, including vegans, vegetarians, and those with other dietary needs.

Warm welcome, great food and brilliant customer service. The food was delicious and large portions. Value for money. Staff attentive and chatty despite being busy. Definitely recommend spending time and money here to have great lunch and relaxing time. It was busy as it was lunch but it added to the warm atmosphere.

We didn't have anything to eat, so I can't comment on that. We went in for a sit down and chat over a tea. There is a very good selection of lose leaf teas - black, green, speciality, and herbal &/or un/de-caffeinated teas. We ordered a pot of Winchester blended tea, and a pot of Almond Black tea. Both were unique and delicious. The Winchester blend was similar to Earl Gray but with slightly different flavour profile. The Almond tea smelt like a freshly baked Battenburg cake, but didn't have a sweetness to it when tasted - it was a good quality large leaf Assam with a distinct almond nuttiness. Very moreish!! When it came to our table the tea pots were very large (a good thing in our opinion, we do like lots of tea), and free hot water top ups are offered. You are given a tea cup with two saucers and a tea strainer, so you can put the strainer on the spare saucer. They have seeing upstairs, so don't be put off if it looks busy when you look in from outside.

A lovely Chorlton institution that offers tea, cakes and a selection of hunger stopping sandwiches. If you're looking for a lovely pit stop or afternoon tea this is a perfect place. A little rustic indoors the cakes are worthy of note (and keep changing) and the sandwiches are tasty and generously sized. It's a popular place and has some outdoor seating. Service is friendly and of a familiar style.

Love coming here as a weekly treat with my toddler after a trip to the local library. Food is amazing with so much variety and there’s so much choice for kids too! The customer service is amazing each time- they always give my impatient toddler a bit of fruit to keep her going until food arrives.

Recommended this place to my mom while we had some business in Manchester for the day. She is a coeliac so it is always a little difficult finding places with gluten free food. Even though I have not been, my mom thoroughly enjoyed her visit and told me how great the staff were. She also told me I must write a good review on her behalf 😆 Thanks for the great service and food! 👍🏼

I flipping love the Tea Hive. I consider myself very lucky to have this cafe nearby. They do simple food really, really well. The roast veg salad is so delicious (and huge!). Plus it is great value and the staff are lovely.

lovely little cafe, my usual on the weekends! great service from the staff but unfortunately i witnessed the manager speaking to a member of staff in a very abrasive way over something that didn’t seem to require that tone or volume… very upsetting

I love this place so much! The food is amazing and the staff are so lovely and just brilliant with kids. It’s our favourite place to take our toddler for lunch, hands down! They also made our wedding cakes last September and they were just perfect. I really can’t rate the Tea Hive enough and feel very lucky to have such an amazing place right on my doorstep!

Very impressed. Had a huge cheddar and chutney sandwich for under £6, big enough to feed a family. The staff were very friendly and despite it being busy we had food on the table within five minutes.

Amazing customer service and Excellent food. I can not recommend this place enough. I have been coming here for over 4 years with my family and friends and they are lovely people who care about their customers experience and happiness. Food test very nice. I love their turmeric coffee, chicken salad, vegan breakfast and soup. If you don’t try, you will miss out. This place is also very clean.

Cosy cafe walking distance from daughters house. Vegan friendly. I had the the roasted vegetable salad and it was very filling and tasty. Coffee was good ad well. For the sweet tooth, there is a variety of choices awaiting in the cabinet by the front door.

I came here with my daughter and her boyfriend for lunch. It wasn't too crowded and we were able to get a table easily. I just had a slice of raspberry and vanilla cake which was lovely with a pot of tea. Be warned the portions are big! I would recommend this cafe as it has an quirky old fashioned decor inside and the table service was quick. The reason why I've given only 3 stars is because it is fairly expensive

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place ❤️ Best place to eat in Chorlton hands down! Breakfast here is just unmatched! I had the scrambled eggs with avocado and bacon. The coconut latte is incredible! The staff are always lovely and make the whole experience even better! Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Fab little cafe. I always really enjoy the coffee, and the huge selection of teas which come in big pots. I had the vegan full breakfast which was a HUGE portion, so big I took some home. Everything on it was tasty, and loved the thick buttery bread. My friend had the meat version and said it was equally as good. Will come back again for cake :)

Lovely vibe. Good menu choice including veggie and vegan. Unfortunately the poached eggs that came with a number of the meals ordered were solid. When this was pointed out we got a plate of runny ones brought to us ASAP and a little "thank you". Good recovery. Will come again. Loved the Dirty Chai!

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
