I wanted to go since it first opened but finally got around to try brunch out with my friends. The food was immaculate, the service is a bit slow- also we had to queue outside for tables to be available as there were 3 of us.. all food is Halal I tried the full English with chicken sausages + Halloumi cheese. It’s very filling as I couldn’t have any thing else that day. We also ordered garlic Parmesan chips 😍 and French toast between the 3 of us. They accept card &cash…

If you haven’t been to Caramello, you definitely don’t know what you’re missing out on. Their French toast is just. WOW. In simple terms. I’ve been to many brunch places and had French toast from most famous places but nothing honestly comes close to Caramello. Their chicken waffle is also very nice as is their standard English breakfast. Have been a few times and will definitely carry on visiting! Would love to see them expand their shop however so that waiting times aren’t as long but I guess it’s worth it.

Caramello has never failed to disappoint. Their french toast is definitely amongst the best I’ve ever had! They also sell fresh Pistachio Croissants but you have to get in early for it. Full English breakfast and their Chicken Waffle are also worth trying. Would definitely recommend this place. Be prepared to wait for a table as it’s always full.

Absolutely beautiful food! Such a hidden gem. We came to Didsbury just to have lunch here and will definitely be back. The service was great and the whole place had a lovely vibe to it. Just wish we could have fitted in one of the amazing cakes!

We went to Caramello last Sunday around 10 o'clock. Luckily we walked straight in without having to wait. Literally moments after a queue of at least 20 people was created all waiting for a spot. The service was good with the staff being friendly. The food was excellent we had the chicken pancake and the ferrero waffles, both fantastic and definitely recommend them. This was our first time at Caramello but we will definitely visit again soon. Thank you

Once arrived: Arrived at the morning and were asked to wait at the queue outside. We were then called to go upstairs and had a table for 3 people. How you can order? You'll see a QR code sticked on the table, you scan it and it directs you to their website. You enter your details for track and trace and then you get the menu on your phone. Service quality: The staff was very friendly, we got our drinks and had to wait a bit longer to get the rest of our order. However, the food tasted so good and yummy and Halal. How to pay: You can pay downstairs at the till where you'll have your ticket and get a smile from a friendly lady and she will ask you if you got any plan for the rest of your day, so get your answer ready 😅😊 Lovely place, higly recommended...

First time at Caramello today, and even though it’s walk-ins only and the wait was a little long - totally worth it! Small cosy little place that does halal, vegetarian and vegan options (as well as gluten free). They have a great range of hot and cold drinks and desserts which look AMAZING. Unfortunately I was far too full to even think about dessert but I will definitely be back for more and I will DEFINITELY be getting some dessert to takeaway!

I would give 0 stars if possible. I found the staff here rude and extremely unhurried in their attitude towards customers. The girl serving me made very little effort and seemed to be doing nothing at all! After telling me to wait for 10 mins, no effort was made to take my order and no apologies were given. I understand that sometimes your staff may be busy, but no apologies or reconciliation was attempted. I find that this establishment suffers from a lacklustre attitude. You must learn that each and every customer must be treated as a potential reviewer! If you want a pleasant and enjoyable experience, DO NOT COME HERE! The layout is poor, with no menus on the tables and only a QR code to scan! The staff here need to change. Retraining them or finding new staff is a must. Either they are inexperienced or merely rude and uninterested in showing customers any care. AVOID - INDOLENCE PRESENT HERE!

The most delicious breakfast/brunch I’ve ever had - nice combinations of flavours that you don’t normally see being incorporated into breakfast dishes, with good quality ingredients and amazing presentation (and it’s halal!!). I had the mushrooms on toast with a poached egg and chicken sausage. The French toast is also a must have. The service is great although expect to wait for a seat if going at peak times.

Had an amazing breakfast with friends. A good selection of choices for breakfast, lunch, drinks and desserts. Everything on the menu was available in gluten free options, and added bonus. Really friendly staff. Love this place! Definitely visiting again!! Highly recommend!! My 3rd visit, each one a treat!

Amazing food, quick service, and the best pistachio croissant! However, I am not sure it is always worth the wait… you can easily wait in line for 30 minutes… I personally prefer to go to Caramello when it isn’t as busy, and then on weekends and bank holidays I can go somewhere else without a long wait. Pros: amazing food, fresh ingredients, good variety of drink options such as coffees, matcha latte, turmeric latte, beetroot latte, etc, speedy service. Cons: Long line, not pet friendly. It still is one of my favourite spots though, just not worth wasting 30 minutes of my already quite busy day 😅

Caramello in Didsbury is amazing! I have been here Twice and Loved it both times! It can get fairly Busy, and you may find a Queue outside the Door but its worth the Wait. The Service is a little Slow but thats most likely due to the Mass amount of Customers they are Serving. The Interior of the Restaurant is very Attractive and gives a very Sunday Brunch type of Feeling. I would Recommend the Chicken Waffle and the Pancakes...Wow! They are Reasonably priced and their Portion Sizes are Healthy.

Nice place.. food and service was good. Had the full English, which was good size portion. Also ordered sausage muffin, which was smaller than I expected. Finished with French toast, which was lovely. Food did take a while, but it was busy. Would visit again.

Came for breakfast with my cousin today. I've been wanting to try it for a while since discovering it on Google. The place is located out of the way, off the main road. There's a carpark located right next to the shop, on Whitechapel Street. The front of the shop is very cute and inside the decor is aesthetically pleasing. The shop downstairs is small but it does have a few tables, there are more tables upstairs with bigger tables. It was fairly busy downstairs when we went. My order was a full english and a cappuccino, I enjoyed my breakfast, but I would have liked to have been offered sugar for my drink. My cousin ordered the biscoff french toast, she liked it but she wasn't too fond of the mascarpone. A scoop of fresh cream or vanilla ice cream would have been perfect instead of the mascarpone. The menu is available through scanning a QR code, our order was taken in a timely fashion, and our food was served very quickly. One annoying thing, the table we sat at was very wobbly, we could have sat on the booth beside us but we were told to sit at a 2 person table even though it was practically empty upstairs.

Food is great both aesthetically as well as taste wise. There is a wait time but given the size of the space and quality of food it is expected and well worth. Decent vegetarian and vegan option available and meat is halal. Service is okay perhaps because how busy the place gets. Definitely recommended for the food.

Finally someone who knows how to make a proper french toast! It was absolutely devine! The presentation was beautiful and we ordered the avocado with poached egg too, did not expect the chili which was a pleasant surprise! The hot chocolate wasnt watery and flavourless like everywhere else, thoroughly enjoyed that and the pistachio croissant was yum! Hats off to the chef, very talented. I will definitely be swingin by here again when I get the chance. 😊

Caramello is tucked down a side road off Didsbury high street. The location actually adds to the charm as it’s like the best kept secret. The menu is easy to explore- on line and via QR codes on each table. Service is friendly and relaxed A queue is common here I had a French toast craving and this place has 3 varieties We tried: Pistachio French toast Regular French toast Americano Chai Latte See photos

It's a lovely coffee shop in a great location. The oatmilk latte was so delicious and creamy. Food does appear overpriced. I had the French toast and seemed just like a sweet bread with cheap whipped cream. Didn't think it was worth the price. I would definitely return for a coffee but not for food. It's cute inside and the staff are polite and lovely.

Really good atmosphere and decor here. Highly recommend if this is important to you. Can't fault it. Aside from this, the food was average. I went for the Chicken waffle which was one of their most popular brunches, price was on the pricey side and although it was filling, definitely did not get value for money.

  • 4/5 Anab A. 8 months ago on Google
Cute atmosphere, French toast and coffee are delicious, I did not like anything else. Would come again but not sure if I would be prepared to wait an hour for a table!

  • 5/5 Zahra R. 6 months ago on Google
Really delicious food, good price points, loved the salmon on toast, the English breakfast came with generous servings of halloumi, sourdough bread and sides, the chicken on waffles was just SO good! We had one pistachio French toast to share between us, it could use a little more sauce as the paste can make it a little dry. The coffees and other drinks (including the mocktails) were lovely! The service was a little slow, we waited around 20 / 30 minutes for a table outside. But had to keep asking the waitress to clear the table / bring more cutlery, fill the water jug etc, things I would expect to automatically be done without prompt.

Very busy and cosy restaurant, definitely great for breakfast. Its busy as the quality speaks for itself. The staff here were very friendly and the service was excellent, we were fortunate to get a table once we walked in and the food didn't take long to arrive. The food looked amazing and tasted fantastic. Definitely worth visiting if you fancy a decent breakfast or even afternoon brunch. 😋

Two stars because food was good. Unfortunately service was extremely slow. (Staff to usual Costumer ratio was low) Waited 15 mins to be seated upstairs Waited 20 mins for someone to come and take order (despite calling whenever someone came up, they told us to wait). Staff would come up only to bring costumers or to drop food. So this was a slowing process. Food took over half an hour to come out. What turned out to be a quick breakfast, turned to be a long, dragging, unhappy breakfast. However, food was presented well. Taste tasted really good but wasn’t worth the wait.

Took a friend for brunch in this little cosy cafe. Atmosphere, ambience and decor was beautiful. The place has a homely vibe. They serve the best French toast! Staff and service was excellent. The Green Matcha latte is a must try for all the health freaks out there. Will definitely be going back and supporting our local cafe. Highly recommend.

They serve all day breakfast so we had the full English at around noon. Be prepared to wait as this place is dainty yet lovely with screens in place for covid 19 measures. We waited around 30 minutes but was worth the wait as the staff go above and beyond to serve you. The food was hearty and they were good sized portions. As a suggestion I think the place should provide umbrellas for customers waiting in the rain. It's cost effective and adds to the already great service they provide. Although this place has no set time frame to eat, diners should also be conscious of the people waiting outside especially if they are not ordering anymore dishes. I would come here again 100% but I'll check the weather first!

This is by far the best place I've had breakfast/brunch in. The service is absolutely amazing. The staff are extremely polite, genuinely friendly and really helpful. The food is delicious and the coffees are amazing. The vibe is brilliant, and it's a super clean place with comfortable seating. Sometimes there's a bit of a queue, which makes perfect sense with how great this place is. Highly recommended!

It's a beautiful and unique coffee place. Great for 'Insta'. However, breakfast was nothing special, the baked beans seemed microwaved. The sausages were nice from the English Breakfast option. We also ordered pancakes which were disappointing, the looks were 10/10, but tasted rubbery like. Staff were very friendly.

I went to Caramello of Didsbury with two of my friends, the drinks and food arrived in very good time. The food tasted as good as it looked, so I ended up taking home a pistachio and lime tart which was fabulous too. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this cafe! The best cafe in Didsbury!

Been to this place about 4 times won't be coming back. Food was okay nothing special. Overall experience is really bad, first off parking ?? there's no where to park, the place is busy but you have to drive around for 20 mins finding a space. Then when you turn up at the shop it's small and crammed with very little space. I believe the owner moved on to the side street to save on rent which is great, but could have got a bigger place. literally sat next to each other touching, if I catch covid 19 probably from here. Then finally when you eat the food is not that special but i guess the overpriced menu makes everyone feel it is, maybe it's didsbury and the prices are high to cover costs . And to top it off the staff look stressed, the girl at the front one day is happy then next angry. Overall customer service is not that great it's like they want you to get out the shop asap so they can serve the crowd waiting outside, you get assigned a seat due to limited space which makes no sense, for example there's 4 of you But they will give you a table that can barely squeeze 2 people on? won't even ask your preference ? But overall what your paying vs the experience I would say not worth it. Your paying for a Ferrari and getting a Toyota yaris 2001.

I usually don't write reviews but I felt compelled to as this place has become a firm favourite for me and my family. Great food, great atmosphere. The queue was long as we forgot to reserve a table, but it was worth the wait. I had the chicken burger was amazing, and the garlic parmesan fries were phenomenal.

  • 2/5 Stelios Z. 3 years ago on Google
Busy day, extremely slow service, waited for more than an hour to be served while there were just two groups before us since we arrived. They do not take reservations (we called a day before and this is what we were told), however another group was served within ten minutes with the excuse they had reserved a table a long time ago. We intended to order food and dessert but we ended up having only the former as it took about an hour for our order to arrive and the place was closing soon. The food was ok (vegan full English breakfast, scrambled eggs on toast, chicken burger and eggs florentine with salmon). While queuing I got a scoop of hazelnut ice cream which was very good. All staff were kind and helpful, major issue was the very slow service and the long queueing time which made the whole experience unpleasant. Perhaps it makes more sense to take out if the place is busy.
