Absolutely beautiful decor, loved the atmosphere /vibe, loved the restaurant /venue itself. Love the fact you have to dress up to go here. Brilliant customer service. Did not have to wait for food long. Abby, who served us, was amazing. Food itself was OK. The steak was nice but the rest was so bland. No real flavour/taste. Drinks that we ordered were in the smallest glass bottles ever. Quite pricey for what it's worth. I won't be rushing to visit this place anytime soon.

Stunning funky interior. Grand comfy beds on the upper floor with a bar area and DJ. Imaginative cocktails, and great food. Limited vegetarian options for Asian mains is the only down side. Waiters are all friendly - big shout-out to the manager Kylie who was amazing and very accommodating. Oh and lookout for the robotic food servers! Very high tech!

Such an unusual and lovely restaurant. It's like no other I've visited before. We hosted a celebration event and speaker evening here tonight and I cannot praise the venue enough. The food was excellent, the surroundings are stylish and unusual and the service was brilliant. Morgan our server, was brilliant all night. A top venue for events and I'd love to come back for a meal with friends and family.

We came to Vermillion after an amazing previous visit. We were left slightly disappointed. We were never tended to, had to keep grabbing the attention of staff for drinks. We asked for a bottle of water for the table, it was brought with no glasses, which we then had to wait 10 minutes to get the attention of someone! When our order came, 2 dishes were missing, which then when I told them, the proceeded to only bring 1 of the 2 missing dishes. The food is lovely, however it was luke warm, which took away how delicious it actually was. The place itself is beautiful and after such a wonderful first visit, I felt let down.

The restaurant is really nice and relaxing. Definitely a place you need to dress up for. The staff that greet you and bar staff are very polite. The food however was OK, quite expensive & the tiger prawn dish arrived a bit cold and took a few mins before the second main dish came out. This is one of those places you'd come back for the service maybe not for the food.

Located just outside manchester city centre with a huge carpark where you can leave cars overnight, near the Etihad stadium for pre or post game food. Came yesterday for valentines day with a friend and booked in advance via opentable. Front of house staff very welcoming and told us to go upstairs. Left a bit clueless upstairs until the waitress came. Seated and was asked if we were ready to order after 5 minutes and we weren’t! Food came at a decent time but the rice took very long we were worried the food would get cold. Slightly dissatisfied with the portion size for the price being paid, but I guess the atmosphere makes up for that. £70 for two drinks, two curries, nan and rice. Meh.

Beautiful location; overpriced food. The place was gorgeous. The staff were very friendly. The food was experimental; sort of fusion between Pakistani and southeast Asian cuisine. They take some risks, but not enough, and they don't usually pay off. Some of the dishes we ordered were good, but not great. The rest were meh. I would rate it higher, but I feel the food is a bit overpriced. You are paying almost double what you would pay in a typical restaurant. ~£20-30 for a main and ~£10 for a starter. You are paying for the experience. If you want to splurge on a nice looking restaurant with an Asian-ish vibe. Then sure, it's a good place to bring someone to impress and just chill. But if you actually want good food, I would try somewhere else.

As usual this place is my go to place . Beautiful decor and ample space for parking. Beautiful fusion of this and Indian cuisine.

Wedding in COVID-19 restrictions. Nevertheless, the hall was very nice. The food and table service was excellent. Cannot overstate the quality and taste of the starters and main dishes Some aspects of the COVID-19 measures could have been better enforced. Very beautiful place, outside is very beautiful at night, they have a big car park with parking attendant, parking for the restuarant is free. The outside area is lit very well and the front of the restuarant is gorgeous, once entering you are greeted by receptionists, and theres a small waiting area on the left where you can view the auto rickshaw and various other items. They have a elevator to go to the dining floor which is the second floor and i believe weddings and functions are held on the first floor. The interior of the dining floor is very well decorated and bright lights fill the room. The popadoms selection and sauces were different to those you find in a normal indian restuarant so was pretty nice, the starters were all lovely and my favourite was the momo. I just wanted to eat more and more of them, for the mains the food was very delicious, the mocktails they do is a good selection and very tasty. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and thanks to the manager for looking after us all. Will be back in near future hopefully. The top floor above the restuarant is like a bar type chilling area which was pretty cool, nice area to take photos too.

Ive always liked the food here. The Korean fried chicken Bao is a must try. I personally did not enjoy the rainbow dimsums, but 5 stars to all the other dishes. Large plates are definitely large plates- easily good for at least 3 people.

Food was decent. Atmosphere was non existent. Maybe because we went on a Wednesday but there were perhaps two otheelr tables taken. Service was good.

Food was good here. Menu is a bit limited but we ordered bao bun, rainbow dumplings and prawn Thai curry and the flavours were all good. Some improvement needed in the mocktails as they were very messily served and were nothing special and overpriced.

Really nice food, good variety and not too expensive. Sophia the hostess was so lovely and helpful. The whole place looks great as well.

Seafood dishes here really stand out. The only thing that's annoying is that the music is very loud, so waiters can sometimes write down the wrong thing. Unfortunately, they do not let you change it, so that is a big disappointment. Other than that, the food here never let's you down. I recommend the Korean Bao Buns for starters 👌

Booked this restaurant for my one year anniversary and it was such a great time. We were served by Sophia and Justin who went out of their way to make the day extra special. The vibes in the restaurant are so nice and calm, great interior and food is 10/10. The lamb shank was falling off the bone and the curry was flavoured well. Also, shoutout to the robot that served our food too , it was cool. Lovely halal restaurant, definitely recommend.

My favourite spot in Manchester, visted vermillion last night with my partner and we love it here 😍 the food, service and decor is incredible! The service is always on point, the staff are very talkative and helpful, they are so friendly, not to mention how good the steaks and sauces are! Really clean, glasses and plates spotless. Very comfy seats. Lighting and sound levels both to great levels. Food hot and cooked to perfection. Very nice place to book for functions. Staff were friendly and on hand to help out where needed.

we went here last night for valentines and was blown away with every aspect of the place, the interior and design is absolutely stunning, the staff were very welcoming and kind, the food was absolutely unbelievable and had really unique options also, the drinks were also really lovely, we were given complimentary starters and a cocktail with it being Valentine’s Day which was such a warming touch and was massively appreciated, a massive special thanks to Trupti who was extremely attentive and really made the evening even more special, really could not recommend the place enough, it is fantastic.

Omg , this place is amazing, staff, decor , food . I can't fault it at any level , I ordered the Thai green curry with roti and egg fried rice , by far the best Thai green curry I have ever had. On top of that it was brought out to my table by a robot . I have never seen this before , what a great idea and a great experience. If you are in Manchester do not miss out on this gem

Disappointingly Frozen Food Despite Impeccable Service We recently for a special occasion and was initially impressed by the visual ambiance . However, our overall experience was marred by the quality of the food, which was undeniably disappointing. While the service by the lovely hostess was exceptional, it was saddening to discover that the food we were served was not up to par. The dishes we ordered arrived at our table cold, after one hour and dirty five minutes raising concerns that they had been improperly stored or, worse yet, frozen beforehand. This is simply unacceptable for a restaurant that claims to offer a premium dining experience. We paid under protest £400 yes 400 hope that the management takes this feedback constructively and implements necessary changes to restore the value and integrity of their culinary offerings. And there as another group who we saw raising the same complaints Payment was made under protest to avoid embarrassment but I shall certainly be considering a claim through the county court if necessary for my money. We were served approx 50 of raw material for 400. It’s awful. Worst ever experience. I never write bad reviews unless they are really bad

Haven’t been so disappointed in very long time. Me and my boyfriend went yesterday to celebrate our anniversary there. Host sat us down and we’ve been waiting for someone to come to take our order for 20 min. Then our starers arrived before drinks, my main was extremely spicy even though I asked for it not to be specifically. I believe there was no communication between kitchen and service. The waitress who was serving us was actually the only good thing. She was great but it seemed like she is there by herself surrounded by many food runners who weren’t helpful at all. For that price you can go somewhere else and have great experience. I don’t recommend.

Fantastic venue, lovely vibe and ambience. Food was good, considering the price I expected more. The standout feature is the customer service, brilliant. They're not too over-bearing like some other restaurants, constantly asking if the food is nice before you've even tried it. They give you the attention you need and the service you expect. Really friendly and always smiling. Our server was Sophia (Irish, I believe), 10 out of 10 no doubt!

Went for date with my partner. There was delay with booking, so we was sent upstair to bar which was ok. Service at the bar was very slow even though it wasn’t that busy- by the time our drinks was served our table downstairs was ready. We waited to place food order around 30 mins. Stressed staff was running around. Food was nice, but slightly overpriced. Venue itselves is beautiful and there’s nice atmosphere. Whole experience was alright although I would expect more for the money that we paid there.

We ran a little late (an hour) and he kept our table and was super nice to us throughout! The waiting staff weren't the best with dietary restrictions but we eventually got there! The robots delivering food to us were awesome! Had a fun time and will be back!

Came here with my young son and wife for a weekday dinner out. I was impressed with the service we received. My son was a bit cranky as it was near his bedtime but the staff were patient and friendly. Special thanks to Abdul and Satko who took care of us during the dinner. It also helps that the food was absolutely banging, atmosphere was a cool indie chic and the food prices were decent. 5 out of 5. Definitely would come again and recommend to others

Just went here for our anniversary dinner and wow!! The restaurant is beautiful and food was amazing and the portions are big. Our hostess Sophia was sooo lovely, very professional and recommended some dishes from the menu, she even took pictures of us & got us an anniversary cake. Thank you Sophia 🙏🏽

Came here on a Saturday night for the wife's birthday and the service was exceptional! It was extremely busy at the restaurant (as to be expected) but we had booked in advance and was taken to our table straight away. As to the food, it was spot on. The starters we had were very well made and the Lamb Karahi was excellent. The menu is very limited and only has a handful of Indian options so it may not be for everyone. The Lamb Shank starter was phenomenal and deserves a separate shout out! The only negative was that the music was being played so loudly that we had to practically shout at each other to communicate!

Haven’t been here for about 12 years, called in without a booking, was made to feel very welcome. Last time at vermilion it was a Buffet style dining. The interior is truly amazing. We wasn’t disappointed with the menu, 2 small plate with salad is more than enough for one person if they don’t want to share, or a large plate as a meal, you can share like tapas if you wish, the food tasted excellent. I hand lamb shank it was so tender, melt in your mouth tasty. Would I go again yes. Would I recommend yes Thank you

The plastic chairs in the wedding hall i think they are really for outdoor use. My back started hurting after 30 minutes when i was there at the wedding. These are not comfortable at all I have attended many weddings but always found bigger and comfortable chairs. how do they expect people to sit on these for more than 4 hours on wedding day or any other functions. Everything else is very good. I hope they change the chairs.

I had so high hopes about Vermilion, because my brother had his birthday party there a long time ago. You fast forward to now and the building looks gorgeous, upstairs seems like an amazing place, the ambiance has the party vibes. That is where it ends for the good. The food was OK but the service let me down. I don't know whether that is due to the pandemic but to have a fabulous night in a restaurant, I believe that it all comes down to the following: the food, service, the setting and ambiance. The service was a total let down. I don't want a waiter or waitress to walk when taking an order that is just unprofessional then take 10 minutes to get drinks. I don't want a waiter or waitress to say that they can't make changes to a person's nutritional requirements. That is lacking common sense. Food allergies have to be taken into consideration straightaway, not taking 10-15 minutes to make a decision. It was a mess.

Fantastic Asian decor, you could be in a Thai Palace so great is the opulence, this is mainly the colour red as befits the name Vermilion, French for a shade of the colour red.

Whent there for a friends birthday , staff was great food was good howether for the price we paid at the end expected better maybe it's because they was cooking for 40 of us maybe when i go back with my girlfriend I will have a different opinion on the food that being said the prawns where lovely tho . Not a variety of cocktails to choose from ended up with some whiskey one in the end because that's the only appealing one they had to me howether they have all your spirits and beers to.choose from . Definitely recommend to try this place .

Attended a family wedding recently and the event on the whole was fantastic: beautiful decor; attentive staff and wonderful food. Well worth the vast expense spent by my family and the venue really added to the occasion. Two areas for future consideration, firstly the acoustics were off, high vibration of the speakers meant at times the announcements were inaudible. Secondly, differing levels of service - we had our starters refilled on our table, many others were told refills weren't available - which they should have been. My experience was outstanding. A number of others were much less taken.

We booked a table for our wedding anniversary meal and found the restaurant was very nice with nice interior designs. Our food was tasty but pricey. The experience overall was a very good one made even better by the customer service. We were served by Sophia who was warm friendly and very engaging. Couldn’t have asked for a better waitress. But other members of the staff team were also very good.

Staff and starters were good. However, Honestly don’t bother going here The price of the food does not match the quality at all. I felt horrible for telling the service staff about the food but honestly the amount we paid for the food is crazy. The prawns were full of crap still even though we had paid about 24£ for the meal, would not recommend. It was completely unorganized. The staff then argued what sauce was served with my meal, and it took me to tell them what it was, overall completely disappointed

Had an absolutely wonderful time at Vermillion restaurant. Not only was the food amazing but the sevice was phenomenal. Our host for the night was Melissa and she was so pleasant. Always smiling & willing to help. Had such an awesome Valentine’s with the girl. We even got complementary chocolate strawberries and had a live singer on the night, which was such a nice touch. We will definitely be back!!!
