Great value for money and on most parts the meal was perfect! The home-made lasagne was excellent, and the rosemary/seasoned potatoes had a nice flavour to them - very soft as well. However, the ravioli (vegetarian) was very disappointing with barely any taste/filling to it apart from cheese and some spinach. The sauce was not very saucy either just felt quite watery! Staff were very friendly and polite though, and nice vibe at the restaurant! Also got 25% student discount which is great!!

Food was average at best. "Butterfly king prawn" apparently just means prawns with burnt toast. Bruscetta means tomatoes sliced in quarters and placed on plan sliced (not toasted) baguette. Salad had no dressing until asked (they forgot) at which point, was given to put on salad ourselves. Children's cheesy pasta means 13 tubes of penne just about coated in cheese sauce. Only one vegan main dish on the whole menu! Service was inattentive and very slow, which is an issue in a busy train station. One course and we were there 2 hours! Almost 50% of the menu was unavailable at 7pm. Not planning to return any time soon. 😕

Very good place to eat some food before catching the train. The quality of the food is excellent but the portions are very small. Service is pretty fast and efficient.

We came here for breakfast to kickstart my sisters hen-do. We were served by the rudest waitress I’ve ever come across. She was aggressive, cold and rushed us. This waitress was impatient and made us feel unwelcome. She snatched our receipt away from us when we kindly asked her to remove the service charge (as we were very unhappy with the service). She didn’t smile once the whole time we were there. The restaurant itself was very quiet so I’m not sure why she felt the need to rush us so much. We complained to the manager that was understanding about this. Would advise you get kinder staff, makes a big difference.

I really like this restaurant. Food is awesome and service is fantastic. Slightly short on options tonight, but I still enjoyed a fabulous sea bass meal.

We always meet at Manchester Piccadily railway station's Carluccio's. A perfect location for our rendezvous for coffee and to enjoy their delicious almond crossiant. I have been known to phone ahead, to reserve them, as they often run out. No need today, thank goodness. We were served by Mitch, a charming young waiter, who was new to the job. He wanted feed back on the quality of his coffee. We gave him 9.5. If only all waiting staff in restaurants had that eagerness to learn their skills and engage with their customers. A great start to our day visiting Manchester and a very encouraging start to his future career. Thanks you.

Best cafe and restaurant in the Manchester Piccadilly railway station. The seating area is comfortable. Great place to grab your breakfast or lunch. The staff is great and food is delicious. Will definitely visit again in my next trip to Manchester.

The food is good in general as I tried both breakfast and lunch. The seafood pasta is so fresh and tasty. But the taste of canoli is a bit disappointing.

Don't waste your money - worst "italian" I've ever been to. Ordered the Tomatoe Bruchetta gluten free - receieved a slice of soggy bread, with chopped cherry and regular tomatoes chucked on top, with a handful of basil. No taste and definitely not worth almost £8! My friend ordered fried with cheese and rosemary as a side, smallest portion, no flavourings, looked like Mccains oven fries topped with cheddar. Cocktails were good but very expensive!

Over-priced; small portions; poor service. Won't be going back again. A 2 course lunch for 2 people with soft drinks and no alcohol cost £80. I didn't realise that the fixed price menu wasn't available on a Saturday, but having travelled some distance to meet a friend for lunch, decided to persevere rather than trail around looking for an alternative. The prices meant we had 2 courses, rather than 3, and no alcohol. Portions were stingy, considering the prices. Service was poor. Staff were not really paying attention to customers. There weren't that many customers - surprise, surprise!

Unfortunately I’ve just left here after just a drink. The server was lovely (she gets the only star on this review) I chose the Ragu as it was a simple meal advertised without cheese as an ingredient on the menu. Ragu came looking great but with cheese in, so I asked my server and the manager / owner shouted over that it does have cheese as it’s on the menu. I was then handy a dirty menu as the owner was adamant it was me that’s wrong and told me that I should have informed THEM of any allergies (nobody asked me and you should have correct allergen and ingredients on your menu ) I would have ordered again (minus the 🧀) or chosen a different dish but there a clear avoidance of wanting to rectify it. Again my server was lovely but the manager / owner had a horrible attitude and 0 hospitality skills

Great if you have a train , staff will try to communicate with the chefs to speed it up a bit. Little bit pricey but speed and convenience makes up for it. I went in the evening , it was quiet but a nice atmosphere for a sunday evening

We just called in as we’d missed our train connection. The staff were so lovely in getting us two bruschetta’s and two coffees - at great speed . Thank you very much indeed . Good luck too

Go there for the food - not the service At arrival we was told to seat ourself, we found a table without any menu’s. After 10 minutes waiter A came to take our orders, where we told that we had not been able to decide yet. Then we were given our drinks and starters, although we specified they were to share, we weren’t given any plates to eat off individually, only the dishes. After some time we were asked whether we would like to add dessert. At that point they hadn’t cleared the table or brought our mains. At the end we were rushed out since we were the last ones there. The food however was delicious, the service wasn’t

Pretty bleak place. Food was insanely greasy and staff seemed completely unbothered. Took an extremely long time to get food despite it being a pretty empty place. Do yourself a favour and just go get a pie instead

Food is okish. Standard Italian fare with a bit of jazz. Its based in Manchester Picadilly train station, so it's full of people whiling away time until their train. Because of that, the atmosphere is a little dull and the staff are in no rush to serve or get the bill...which is not what you want! Food is tasty if a little overpriced, but is certainly the best and healthiest option in the station.

Wish we hadn't bothered to call for a quick hot beverage before our train trip. We thought 40 minutes was long enough, but alas no? Left on edge, after staff failed to reassure us that the evacuation alarm was just a test drill (unbelievable!).

  • 2/5 Matthew S. 1 year ago on Google
Staff were nice, the atmosphere is probably as good as it can get in a train station. Unfortunately, the food just made me sad :( Somehow, my singular piece of toast was both burned and also drenched, and the drink was 80% ice. 2 mouthfuls of juice for £3.75 is a bit silly.

Lovely to be back at Carluccios in Manchester Piccadilly Station. Service very good, menu as before, enjoyed our pasta dishes with garlic bread very much. Left very full and happy.

We came to Manchester to begin a hen do and our first stop was carluccios for breakfast. If you want to set a good vibes tone for a hen DO NOT come here. We were seated like we were at school detention. The order was taken like we were prisoners, so much attitude and the coldest reception ever. The best part was when one random server passed us one plate with a smile but then we were back to the horrible lady with bangs. On top of such a horrible service she was shocked when we wanted to remove the service charge. Snatching the receipt from my friend which enraged me internally. The attitude was very rude and obnoxious the whole time. Please train her, I did speak to the manager who said they wish I told them before. Not sure if they passed down the feedback to them.

Last minute decision and only free tables outside but previous dining was enjoyable so went for it. Not great tonight, cold, train announcements excessive due to incident on the mainline and had to send white & red wines back. Staff great but not a quality night out. Need to dine inside to enjoy.

Had a lovely late lunch here with my Mama. Recommend the salads. I had an interesting, very tasty salad with rocket, barley, (beetroot), avocado, goats cheese and toasted almonds. Mama had calamari and a lovely soup with porcini mushrooms and a piece of foccaccia.

Positives: quick service, food was very quick also, pretty empty on Friday at 4pm so lots of seats available Negatives: Food was very bland, almost inedible but we did eat it as we were hungry! The manager was admonishing the kitchen staff directly behind our seats which was pretty embarrassing.

Visited here on our final day of our Manchester Pride Bank Holiday Weekender 🏳️‍🌈... Me & my friend were in need of some Breakfast/Brunch so when we saw the Eggs Benedict & Eggs Royale we were both sold on the spot. Staff were pleasant & the place was very quiet for a Bank Holiday Monday late morning so we got a booth, orders were taken in good time & both girls that served us were always polite/friendly throughout our stay. Both orders were delicious, but... It says on your Menu that both come on "toasted ciabatta". Our Eggs Brunch just came on plain simple "toast". We were not informed it would be served on that when your Menu does specify differently. By this time we were hungry, we demolished the food which we both enjoyed equally but we were both left wanting more because we should have been told at the start there clearly wasn't ciabatta available. That's the only thing that kind of left the experience lacking in our eyes hence the 4-Star Rating. Just be aware of this with other customers because as someone who works in Hospitality, customers can go off on this pretty quickly & pretty badly 🙌🏻!

I nipped into Carluccio's in between meetings. I needed something quick that wasn't too heavy. Service was quick and exactly what I would expect from Carluccio's. I had glass of red and the antipasti plate. Both were delicious and I was in and out in 40 minutes. Reasonably priced as well. I will be going back when I have more time to spend.

I love railway stations and a railway station with an excellent Carluccio's is extremely hard to beat. I had to break a journey in Manchester Piccadilly at lunch time and what better way to do that than have a lunch in Carluccio's. It was busy, which is a good sign, it had plenty of space, which is also good and table service so one didn't have to juggle bags and trays. The menu had plenty of choice for all tastes. Service was quick, but no feeling that the food had been prepared somewhere else and just reheated. This was done on site. Portions were generous, hit and very tasty. The mushroom soup was superb!! and worth a visit just for that. I spent my weekend looking forward to a rematch but trains being trains, this was not to be. Superb experience for me.

This was my first visit ever to a Carluccios and I stopped in for breakfast after a canceled train delayed my transit through Manchester. The breakfast menu looked good. I enjoyed a superb flat white and eggs Benedict. The quality of the ingredients and meal as a whole was excellent and just what was needed. However, I have to comment on the staff in particular. This restaurant had an outstanding team working on the morning of Sunday 9th Oct. They were warm and friendly to all the customers but also towards each other. They were professional yet fun and obviously had built a great rapport between each other as well as prioritizing a dedicated effort towards taking good care of their customers. I noted one member of staff training another with such supportive warmth and kindess and it was lovely to see. Whoever is recruiting and leading these very nice humans is doing a great job :-)

Lovely service but don’t know how to make porridge. Nice coffee but the porridge was just oats and warm milk, not really cooked properly. It’s not that difficult after all.

There are 4 of us; we waited 10 minutes for our order to be taken. The waiter ignored us the whole time. Coffee eventually arrived without the desserts, so we had to drink our coffee before it went cold. Then the waiter said one of the desserts wasn't available. Average main course food but it took about 30 minutes to arrive even when it wasn’t busy at all.

  • 2/5 Amanda D. 9 months ago on Google
The restaurant was not particularly busy however, they had left a very young lady in charge who did not deal with pressure very well at all and was clearly stressed out to the eyeballs. And we had to go and order at the bar and she was not able to serve us or the six customers waiting to be seated, as she was making a drink for a deliveroo collection. For the prices they charge, it is not too much to expect a bit of service.

As an Italian in Manchester I can definitely say that this place really surprised me. Staff were really attentive and the food was absolutely gorgeous. Had the arancini as starter and the seafood linguine as main. What to say, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Thank you so much

Lovely place. The people that are working there are awesome. Beside that they are pro in servicing and making good food, they are friendly and quite open. I recommend getting in there at day. If you are lucky enough to have sunny weather you will be surprised by the beauty. Prices are nice too.

Service was incredible. I chose this location to cater for my TV film crew and staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They were extremely helpful, speedy and friendly. I would recommend this location for all things from casual dining to cooperate bookings. 5 stars from me (10 stars for the manager, thank you for taking care of us!)

Ah, breakfast, the most important meal of the day! I recently stumbled upon this charming little restaurant that served the most scrumptious breakfast I've ever had. It was a delightful experience, to say the least. Upon entering, I was greeted by a pleasant ambiance and a warm smile. The staff was attentive and made me feel right at home. Ah yes, our charming little blonde girl from the kitchen, Anna. She was an absolute delight! Her service was simply extraordinary. Attentive, kind, and with a genuine passion for what she does. It's not every day that you find such a gem in the culinary world. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, the food! It was a breakfast lover's paradise. From fluffy pancakes to perfectly cooked eggs, every dish was a masterpiece. The flavors danced on my taste buds, leaving me craving for more. I must admit, my taste buds were quite impressed. So, if you're in the mood for a delectable breakfast experience served by the wonderful Anna, I highly recommend visiting this charming restaurant. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. But hey, don't just take my word for it. Go ahead and see for yourself. Happy breakfasting, my friends!

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel. The interior design is very hip and it has a great vibe. The music that is being played is modern. The curry was amazing. And the prices were perfect for...
