Can’t really give an insightful review this thyme. It is a lovely and lively place. There’s indoor and outdoor space and the staff are friendly from the moment you enter. Unfortunately (hence the 3 star rating) there was a 45min wait for food (I was informed of this by the amazing staff before I ordered). I know it’s busy, however this is unacceptable and needs to be improved. Nonetheless, I can say the coffee is really good and I can post a picture of the menu. I will try it again and report back:) - side note, avoid the last two tables next to the toilets🙈

I was looking for a nice place to visit for a breakfast and honestly this place was the best choice. Lovely staff, food so tasty and good price. I highly recommend this place.

We had the vegetarian breakfast and thought it different from the usual veggie breakfasts on offer. Was nice to have the halloumi, veggie black pudding and the croquettes. Nice to be able to sit outside. Pay on your phone. Convenient. Would have the same again!

A lovely cafe that specialises in brunch and breakfast. It shines in summer with its outdoor space. It's walk-in only and usually busy so be prepared for a short wait. The sandwiches make an excellent lunch (the chicken shawarma was ok but the ham and cheese sandwich is fantastic). Outdoor seating is available and set in a lovely floral environment. There is also a small food van offering takeaway sandwiches, coffee and some amazing bread and past from la chouquette (a real treat and with less of a queue)

Lovely cafe, my sister lives near by and is a regular. I had the veggie breakfast 'veg out' and it was delicious.

Lovely food and service! Hash browns are a total hit - homemade and so unique. Have to say - service was excellent. The staff are so friendly and it feels like they truly enjoy serving you which makes the meal so much better. Will come again :)

We went out for a friend's 30th brunch, the waitress was pleasant and helpful and the French toast was absolutely lovely. Unfortunately the day was left with a bit of a sour taste as the gentleman manager (who I can assume was the manager) was quite rude and felt was judgemental towards us - we are a group of young mum's with children and didn't expect to get that coldness from a manager. If you're thinking about taking a cake or anything for a birthday there don't. After spending £80 in total, brought a small cake from outside and I was bluntly told ' we don't serve anything from outside hwre' (after a scoff) 'we can't put any candles on anything' and just plain no. Even if you couldn't and that's not company policy, a little more respect and friendliness in your responses would go much further than making a group of young mum's feel uncomfortable and as if they were being judged because of what they can assume was an inconvenience to your business because they came with their kids. Just reiterating, the waitress was kind and lovely just whom she referred to as her manager

First visit and loved it so much. Got the full English and the portion was so huge, had to take the rest home. Lovely staff and gorgeous back garden where we ate. Will be back again soon!

The loveliest staff and incredible food. No wonder there’s always a queue for a table! But definitely worth the wait!! Highly recommend adding a homemade hash brown to your brunch, they’re amazing.

This is a wonderful cafe. If anyone needs an example of how to serve great coffee and delicious food then go no further. Can't fault this full of flavour menu.

I was looking for something different for brunch and thought I'd try Thyme Out. I was not disappointed! Delicious Spanish Eggs for me and French Toast for the boss. There's lots of choice in that area but I'd definitely visit here again.

This is the 2nd visit to this place, and it is just as good as the first. It is small and cosy, just what you want on a winter morning. The service is great. They leave you enough time to read and choose from the menu, but are there when you are ready.

The food is good but portions are small for the price you pay , the large breakfast certainly isnt large, flavoursome non the the less . Food came out relatively quickly , breakfast was missing extra items i order and the hash brown it come with , this was quickly sorted by attentive freindly staff who was very busy . Atmospheres great bit crowed fornthe size but a livley little bit of hust and bustle is great in the mornings for me personally. Worth a vist , definitely worth a visit if they make that breakfast bigger

We love the place, sitting inside or out. Lovely staff, great menu ( so hard to choose)..we had the English breakfast, simple to exchange elements you're not keen on,EG,I don't like mushrooms so did a swap...choice of style of egg too! We stayed for yonks and had a second cuppa and delish muffin. We heard a Victoria sponge was on its way,too late for us though. More selection of cakes & pastries would be the cherry and n the cake!

Unfortunately Thyme Out seems to have gone through some changes, food-wise it has been plagued by change rather than blessed, menu items that were worth just going for are now complete failures, seemingly batch cooked scrambled egg and hash brown patties steamed and underseasoned, combined with watery coleslaw and brown expired guac gave me heartburn within minutes and had to run to the toilet after leaving the establishment. Glad I didn't finish the whole burrito as I knew I was going to regret it. Being a chef myself I felt second hand embarrassment that someone was happy sending that out to a paying customer. I've been a regular customer here for nearly a decade and I must say it will be very difficult to convince myself to return after this experience.

I ordered a takeaway toasties tuna & cheese, it was absolutely horrid!! It had sweetcorn which l didn't know was one of the ingredients, and wasn't made aware of. When l took the sandwich out of the box it was soggy and not edible.. very disappointed and placed it in the bin.. The one good comment l can make is the girl who served me was very pleasant..

Lovely place. Met l family for brunch on a Sunday morning. Lovely staff, nice atmosphere, and the food was plentiful and delicious. No parking as such, but plenty of parking in side streets nearby.

A cute little place with a lovely outdoor area. We sat in one of the domes which was really nice. I had some delicious cocktails and steak and eggs. The service was quick and friendly.

Superb gluten free lunch at thyme out. We arrived looking and acting like we had been on the lash the night before, totally untrue just a lot of driving :) Hungry and thirsty we ordered double drinks and had a short wait for food where we admired other customers doggos! Everyone was really lovely, super laid back and knowledgeable about gluten free, top folks. Food was superb, will definitely return.

I think this place is quite underrated. I love the ambience and the warmth of the hosts- literally provided us with blankets as it was cold outside. This wholesome experience of friendly staff + good food = an excellent gastronomical experience!!

Wonderful is all I can say from the moment I was met at the entrance door until I left. The food was superb and the staff were excellent and very friendly. I had taken my elderly mother to Thyme Out for lunch and she couldn't praise the staff and the food enough. Seating is available outside, parking is a bit tricky with only two spaces available, but you may be fortunate with on-street parking in the side streets. It's also dog friendly which is nice to see

Good place for a brunch, although you can't book, we have to wait a lot. Service is OK, some staff were so friendly, others all right

A first visit for me today for brunch with my best friend whose husband had recommended we come here. We weren't disappointed. I had the Don Vito which was simply delicious and would recommend in a heartbeat. My friend had the Manc Eggs which was equally as good and having tried hers I think I would have next time. The staff were lovely and attentive and I had a nice chat with the manager who was as equally personable and friendly. I read a previous review marking them down because of a 45 minute wait for food which they'd been made aware of beforehand yet chose to stay - if this was unacceptable to them, why stay? Rather unreasonable to mark them down on this IMHO. Great service and food all round, well done all.

Lovely food. The only thing that lets it down are some of the customers. Be here if you want to see hipsters trying not to be hipsters (and no, they haven't died out).

We usually live Thyme out. Got the breakfast wrap today and the standards seem to have taken a dive. Poor quality ingredients. I'm pretty sure the sausages were Richmond, fatty black pud and undercooked floppy bacon. Worthy of a greasy spoon. Sorry guys but we were really disappointed. I'm hoping this was just a bad day in the kitchen...ps £3 for a mug of tea??

I was here on Sunday and today! On Sunday I tried their Sunday roast, and today the breakfast burrito and a Welsh Rarebit Madame! what can I say I have no words, it is unbelievable how good and quality these dishes are! I highly recommend it, I can say I have found my favorite place!

  • 2/5 Jem M. 3 years ago on Google
Went for the build your own breakfast option. Sausage and bacon really good quality, poached eggs near perfect and staff lovely. Though how you can justify charging £1.50 for half a tomato and £1.50 for one mushroom is completely beyond me. For that reason, I'm reluctant to go again.

Fantastic, cannot rate highly enough! Had an avo and tomato and Parma ham on sourdough. Excellent with allergies, very good coffee and great quality food served by friendly staff! Would definitely return again! Busy but accommodating!

A great little cafe for fresh breakfast favourites. Very popular with the locals. I know pictures would be nice but you just wanna devour the tasty plates as soon as they arrive, particularly after a night shift. My only regret is that they have changed their timings post COVID to 9 -3 instead of 8 to 4. This means I wait 40 extra minutes for post night shift breakfast!

Very poor customer service, won’t be coming back. Be aware, that you have to order food online, because if you sit there and wait for the menu, staff won’t bother telling you, that you should order on the website. We’ve been sat here for 45 mins since we paid for our breakfast and still not had them therefore I have all the time in the world to leave this review ;)

First visit here and I was impressed. They were super busy at around 11.30am but me and my girlfriend only waited 10 mins for a table. She had been before with friends and recommended it to me. I had the full English and she had a breakfast burrito. Really nice food, locally sourced too. Highly recommended

👍👍 I was craving curry during my stay in Manchester. And Google suggested this place to me. It's in the centre, almost 6 minutes away from my hotel.
