More plastic flowers and plants are not possible. Dirty, cushions dropped on the floor behind seating. When first opened Barca was great. Gone right downhill. There is no comparison to Dukes 92 or The Wharf over the canal. Awful.

When I got there, there were no customers. Two members of staff were on the bar, but all the tables were dirty and there was an empty cup on one of them. We were going to have food there but decided not to because of how dirty everything was. The manager on duty didn’t seem to mind that nothing was clean as he just joined the others at the end of the bar. The place was freezing and not very inviting. If you remember what Barça used to be like in the 90s, you’d be very disappointed seeing the place now. All the cool original features have been covered up and painted in horrible colours. The furniture reminded me of a tacky American diner kind of place. My friend and I both worked at Barça in the 90s, which was the reason why we met there, but we really didn’t like what has been done to the place, which is why we moved on to Dukes after a couple of drinks.

Didn't have food but, wanted our wedding reception here. We went to view one of the rooms and Lauren shown us two of the rooms she said if we emailed her later on that day after we viewed the room she would give us prices we did email her she didn't get back to us till 5 days later claiming she been off sick. The reviews on trip advisor say alot about this place only wish I read them before hand

Booked the Snug for my 30th Birthday party. Lauren, the event manager, was amazing from start to finish. I had asked for a vegetarian/vegan buffet for the event, and the team went above and beyond, two weeks later I still have people talking to me about the falafel wraps and bean burgers! The space was set up for us and it was so beautiful, the balloon arch was put together for us and the tables were set up. I don’t have many photos because we had such a fantastic time it was the lad thing on my mind! I’d happily book Barca again in future for any events I had on, it was a great space, a fantastic team, and an amazing location!

This bar does not even deserve one star! Event was booked for a large group in which we’re flying from Ireland and Australia, and deposit paid. We arrived to the event to be told the event was upstairs yet it was full with people that were not part of the event meaning there was no organisation from the management, we were told different things from all staff members and that the bar was closed after we only arrived. After waiting a half an hour for the manager to talk to us he proceeded to say the situation was ‘above his pay grade’ and was hesitant to give back the deposit that was paid. In the mean time the party they kicked out started riots outside which led to everywhere being closed due to violence. As someone from a hospitality background it was the worst organisation & customer service I have ever experienced. Will never be returning nor would I recommend anybody to hold an event here.

Awful service. We booked for a baby shower and were previously told we could order food on the day. Once we arrived we were told we cant order food because there was a wedding on and they can only serve them. The attitude of the staff and 'managers' stunk, so unprofessional, they werent at all apologetic and didnt even attempt to look after us or check if we needed anything. Wont be returning. Avoid.

Enjoyed a nice pint on the terrace and soaked up a bit of sun on what maybe the last of the sunny days of 2021.

As per usual once again after contacting PM and promising the owner would contact again nothing. I expect my deposit by no later than 12pm on Monday 7th Feb via cash or Bacs otherwise I will be proceeding with legal action, small claims court to get my 650 deposit back and reporting this company to the authorities as you are not accommodating and I want is my money back. I would rather go to a venue who responds within a few days and not weeks it's not good enough. Do not respond to emails or contact you in four weeks. They owe me 650 for a deposit for venue hire during covid. They was not accomodationg and used that as a clause to get out of paying my deposit back. I have spoken with other venues and my business advisor and now I am aware that this is not great practice and I am entitled to my deposit back. If I do not get a response by 12pm today I will be taking it to the small claims Court and reporting to trading standards about this poor service to consumers. I will proceed as this practice should not be happening and they know the law and can not blame their unprofessionalism on this I will not tolerate it and I have spoke to citizens advice, my financial business advisor many venues in town and they said my rights. Unfortunately because, of the lack of professional response I have been given I will have to do it the legal channels via claims court and trading standards and informing the media of their mal practice. As it is not acceptable and I would not trust them if they are getting potential customers to pay up front be warned. Avoid if you don't want a legal battle god forbid you have to reschedule of no fault of your own .

Would not even want to give a star! The attitude of staff was really bad, highly not recommend! Outdoor closed at 9:30pm but no one informed us and the staff even told us that it was not his responsibility to tell us?!!!! When we arrived 9pm and they spent like 10min to check our ID and when we finally sit down and get our drink, it was almost 9:30pm… so they told us to leave and moved to indoor…. and we were not allowed to take out drinks out so we had to move indoor where it was really crowed and noisy.

Having been made unwelcome at Dukes 92, my friend and I found Barça and sat in the lovely swing overlooking the canal drinking fabulous Aperol Spritz. Very friendly woman in the outdoor bar chatted to me about other good cocktail places to go to. Tapas menu looked great, DJ was very very cool, and indoors looked like it was getting a total revamp - I look forward to coming again.

Surprising well organised and efficient service on a bank holiday weekend. Other places had mile long queues, the staff were friendly and everything we ordered came quickly. 5 star food and drinks, we will definitely be back!

Booked an event there, event organisers and the staff was most helpfull from start to finish, food was tasty, was brought out bit late and some was taken back by the staff but in general great place and great atmosphere, the DJ and the saxophone I booked were brilliant would def recommend for events

The blonde female bartender's behavior was shockingly rude, selectively ignoring customers and intentionally serving flat beers to some. I'd rather navigate a maze blindfolded than subject myself to such mistreatment again. An experience so dreadful, I won't be returning – steer clear if you value any semblance of customer respect.

Very nice atmosphere. The beer garden is right next to the canal. It's really lovely. A great place to spend the afternoon for a couple of drinks!

Great venue for the wedding, great vibes. Just one security guard let them down. Although I'm sure they will be contracted.

Very rowdy and noisy. If you like that sort of thing then it's for you. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very limited drinks. You can only order in bulk, meaning a jug. So if you are on a drinking session and you want drink after drink then the jug is for you.

Brilliant venue. Went for a Christmas works night out and paid for the wedding package, and could not have asked for a better night. The suite does not realistically accommodate 100 people as advertised, but for us it was comfortable (we had 65 booked in). It was well prices and the food was really good - dont be out off that it's advertised as buffet food...it is, but its really good. Would definitely recommend the photo booth as it was great fun. We did not pay for the DJ and it was not needed as music was playing anyway. Highly recommend.

Didn't even want to give this one star. We turned up (3 x adults and 1 x infant) for lunch on Saturday (9th April) afternoon. After asking if they were serving, we were told that yes they were, so one member of our group placed an order with table number. The were happy to process this. Then when I went up to place an order for my partner and I we were told that an event was booked in and that they wouldn't serve us. The food then arrived at the table and we were told that we couldn't sit there, despite taking an order at that table 10 minutes ago... Not a problem we thought, we asked for a refund of the food ordered. When we tried to get this reimbursed, we were told that they didn't know the code to authorise the refund, so we would have to come back an hour later. We were offered a table outside but we had a baby with us, so that wasn't really suitable. Very unimpressed with the service and the attitude of the staff, who came across as if we were asking for the moon on a stick. Will never be going again.

Absolute dump no tolet roll in the ladies staff not interested, no cocktails because no one can make them, saturday early evening why bother being open 🤔

I celebrated my 30th birthday at Barca and couldn't speak any higher of Sammie/Lauren who assisted in organizing the event and answered all questions/enquiries over the phone and via email promptly without any issue. DJ was 10/10 after providing desired genres of music for the night, all guests were happy and commented that they had such a great time. Won't think twice about where to host an event in Manchester again in the near future, highly recommend Sheridan Suite.

They didn't have any lager on tap in the outside bar on a busy Friday night which was a bit weird. Seemed they had run out. But the vibes are great!

New Management took over, which they make an effort to be pleasant to their customers. After they informed us, that the food menu prices are not representing their new prices, they gave us a drink on the house for the inconvenience. Calamari tapas was delicious. The same was patatas bravas. The members of the staff were attentive and polite.

Just a heads up to check your reciept. We were given a drinks menu to order from on arrival. We picked our drinks and ordered ( some of which were soft drinks due to being drivers). We were charged £3.50 for half a diet coke ( priced at £2.50 on the menu) our larger was more than the menu said too. If they are doing this on soft drinks, imagine how much they are adding to the cocktails without people knowing.

I had my laptop stolen from me whilst here last week. The lady on the bar was helpful but after emailing and calling management they never checked the CCTV for me for police evidence. Even though the bar was mostly empty and the camera was on me for the full time. Not impressed at all

So this is a fab bar come rain or shine, the team work hard. With many function areas for people and events it’s a great spot in the city! As well as me being the dj here, so obviously the music is great haha it’s a great venue good location, parking is a tad tricky but not impossible. A great location for food and to relax in the sunshine with fab events a plenty

I had my 21st birthday party here, Sammie and the team made it really easy with booking the room. Also all the bar staff and manager were lovely. My friends and family had a great time and all complimented the room I booked which was the Catalan suite.

Came here Sunday 14th Aug 22 . With my grandson to a Christian. He. Had just cut his hand in car door crying his eyes out the door staff and bar staff wer amazing the. Put plasters on his fingers and gave him a drink.he was only.6 and austic I could not praise them enough well done .the rest off the day was very good .

I was there this weekend (8/10) for a wedding reception and the staff were only interested in doing the bare minimum. They looked so bored and fed up. Not sympathetic towards simple requests ..

Quite a loud, busy place. Understandable cos' of its location, but not really my kind of place. Food was nice, drinks were nice, and it was good to enjoy the sunshine for a change, but it was a bit too busy for me. Doesn't really seem fair to criticise a place just because it was too busy, but it ruined the couple of hours I was there.

Got overcharged by £100 for 2 drinks, due to the bar guy telling me payment hadn’t gone through, changing the amount and taking my card off me to tap again! Contacted Barca. Was emailing staff member called Maryam who assured me she would speak to her manager and get sorted. Now she isn’t returning my emails. Dodgy bar!!
