Have fun while learning about the rich history of Chinatown, it’s people and it’s culture. You don’t need to travel far to be inspired and educated about historical Chinatown. Located conveniently inside the Lucky Chinatown Mall. Where you can go malling after or before going to the museum. Food won’t be a problem either just choose from the wide selection of restaurants too.

Our visit to the Chinatown Museum was a blast! Got to dive into the awesome history of Binondo, from the first Chinese settlers to the bustling trade scenes. The exhibits were a mix of cool artifacts and old pics, making it super interesting. It's like Binondo's story in a nutshell – Chinese traditions blending with Filipino vibes. Definitely a must-visit if you're into history and want to soak up the vibe of this vibrant neighborhood! Big shoutout to Joyce for being our guide at the Chinatown Museum! She made the whole experience extra awesome, dropping knowledge bombs and keeping it fun. Her enthusiasm and insights added a special touch to our visit, making the history of Binondo come alive. Kudos, Joyce – you rock! 🌟

Chanced upon this place on Jan 30, 2022, few days before the Chinese New Year, and I'm glad I did. For only Php150 per head, you will get to see several of their exhibits which are quite detailed and educational. I'm the type who enjoys museums as I make it a point to read almost everything inside. That said, I think I spent an hour and a half inside this place.

Small entrance fee. There was no guide when we walked in on a Sunday noon but it was alright because the exhibit has comprehensive captions. Displays provide a view of Binodo’s evolution.

🏮🌟🏯🍜📸🎨 My visit to the Chinatown Museum was an absolute blast! 🏮 This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Chinatown, and I can't stop raving about it. 🌟 The exhibits are like a time machine, taking you on a journey through the history and culture of this vibrant community. 🏯 The artifacts are so fascinating, and the interactive displays are like stepping into a time portal. 📸 I had a blast taking photos of everything. The museum's architecture seamlessly blends with the surrounding area, giving it a unique charm. 🏯 The staff here are not just friendly, they're like walking encyclopedias of Chinatown's history. They made the experience so much more enriching. 📚 After exploring the museum, I couldn't resist the temptation of trying out some local Chinese cuisine. 🍜 The nearby food options are fantastic and add a delightful flavor to your visit. Accessibility is a breeze, with ample parking and public transportation options nearby. This place is perfect for history buffs, art lovers, and anyone eager to discover Chinatown's vibrant heritage. 🚗🚃 In summary, the Chinatown Museum is a cultural explosion that offers a profound insight into this amazing community. Highly recommended activity in Manila! Its a small museum but please do get the guided tour. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and shared a lot of information about the Filipino-Chinese culture and beginnings. He made our visit interactive where we were able to use/feel some of the items in the museum under his supervision. Saw a lot of cool artifacts. He also took amazing photos! Mabuhay ka kuya! We visited the museum at around 1pm on a Sunday and were the only ones there. We did not have to wait in line. We paid 150pesos each.

Visited the museum on a Wednesday morning with a group as a field trip. As students, Php100 was the entrance fee, but for adults entrance fee is at Php150. Tour guide was friendly and detailed throughout the entire visit, and explained the history and culture of Binondo in detail. Spent 2 hours in total.

Excellent experience. I don’t know why it is not more advertised. The place shares interesting highlights of Binondo’s history as one of the oldest Chinatowns in the world. It is located on the 4 floor of Lucky Chinatown Mall. The entrance fee is 150 PHP (regular), 120 PHP (senior) and 100 PHP (student). It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6pm.

The Chinatown Museum is found at the topmost floor of the Chinatown Hotel Bldg, at the right side of Lucky Chinatown Mall. It is accessible to wheelchair users as well. This interactive Museum tells about the rich history of Manila Chinatown, one of the oldest Chinatowns in the world. The exhibit are divided into various sections about the people, religion, food, crafstmanship, culture, vices, fire safety and even the birth of the Philippine Revolution in Chinatown. A must visit for those exploring Manila for the first time or for the nth time. Tickets are affordable and bought at the entrance. Add P50 if you and your kids want to have a mini notebook for collecting stamps in every sections of the museum, or you may being your travel journal with you as well.

A place to learn abt the history and culture of Binondo. We went on a weekend and we were the only visitors at that time. The tour was pleasant - the displays were interesting and some areas are snap-worthy too. I particularly like the pharmacy where you can smell spices and herbs being used before.

It was worth it despite that it was not too big you learn more about Binondo during the Spanish time. I also like the location inside the Lucky Chinatown Mall. You must visit there when you go to Binondo.

The museum is a good place to know more about the history of Manila's Chinatown. The place is still nice and new. The place is quite small and prices seem a bit high for the place.

Located on the north wing of Lucky Chinatown Mall in Binondo, the World's oldest Chinatown. This museum's educational exhibits will take you back in time with well captured replicated scenes from the American occupation to World War II and beyond.

(Translated by Google) A museum in a shopping mall that is a little confusing. I happened to visit on the opening day. The admission fee P150 is a little higher than in Japan, and although the area is not large, there are some exhibits. The display method is also refined to the advanced country level, such as diorama reproduction, and is beautiful. Recommended for those interested in Chinatown. Lastly, the Post Museum corner, which has been closed since the fire, is also valuable for stamp fans.

Happy to have been here (twice already). As someone who grew up and still lives in Downtown Manila, going here is such a treat. I love how they made the museum interactive and also instagrammable. Maybe they just need to add more interesting pieces and also expand it even more. I thought it was a bit "bitin." But, still, I would highly recommend this museum. Truly, if Makati is what the PH aspires to be, Chinatown shows us what it used to be.

Awesome place, and to think that it's located inside a mall (Lucky Chinatown)

  • 5/5 Martin G. 1 year ago on Google
Modern and partly interactive presentation of the essential aspects of Chinatown. One of the most impressive museums in Manila. It is a gem within the rubble of a terrible mall and in a filthy surrounding. It hurts to see how beautiful Manila was in the past as compared to today.

👍👍 I'm not a student of the said university but I was personally present to attend the campus mascot's graduation as he has to be given a furrever home as the cat can't be a stray cat anymore. I sensed how good the university is, to consider I graduated elsewhere but all is good. I love how they manage...
