The staff are great and very accommodating. The food and other amenities are good as well. However, the floors in the rooms need a major replacement. They are long pass cleaning. This was the first time in years I worn shoes in a hotel due to how suspect the floors were. Also, no refrigerator or microwave in room as well. Finally, the rooms were very stuffy. Kids cough all night ( I believed the carpet was the culprit), and the AC doesn't cool really well.

I just got an unknown charge of €40 on my card. The receptionist told me the card was just a security and nothing will be charged on it. I stayed for two nights and checked out without any issue. Two days later, I receive a debit of €40 on my card without any explanation on what the charge is for. This is very annoying and I will never stay here again.

The service at the hotel, from my check-in to my check-out, was excellent. Breakfast was varied and good quality. The room is also very comfortable. The hotel is also very close to the center

Solid rooms. The carped had some stains, and the crib collapsed one time. But the rooms were of reasonable size.

Absolutely the worst hotel i’ve ever stayed in. Great reviews, but nothing was as the reviews said. Horrible customers service, rude staff (expect for the maids), i tried speaking to the reception, because of a problem i had and they mockingly “answered” my concerns. I will never be back here, definitely the worst and unpleasant stay in my entire life.

It is very difficult to reach the reception with luggage. I forgot in my room a remote controle on the bed and ear buds charging on the desk I tried to call to get them back and the receptionist told me to call another day since the cleaning people has left and he was very busy taking care of customers ( Therefore I was not a customer with a problem????????) I was place on room 1601 and there are structural curves on the low ceiling were I hit the head

Starting from the reservation till leaving the hotel, everything run very smoothly. My only problem is ; when I asked for the invoice during check-out I was told that the payment will be taken over and I can't get an invoice. Now after 3 weeks , I see that the money charged when I checked in is deducted from my credit card and I still don't have the invoice to submit to our Accounting colleagues. I need help for that part.

On enquiry the hotel offered a great room with breakfast rate. We had an impromptu overnight stay here after a rendezvous with my folks in Mannheim. Had only planned to just catch up with them at the hotel before they set off again the next morning on their Euro-Bus Tour towards Lucern. Top notch quality for the price, with decent hotel restaurant and an excellent breakfast buffet.

Room are spacious, bathrooms a bit less :-) Breakfast is definitely not convenient considering it is on the expensive side - it is kept in this way because in many business tariffs, e.g. Amadeus, it is included and tax-wise more convenient for companies; however, if you can get a lower tariff and get a lump reimbursement, or simply not travelling for business, there are lots of bakeries and breakfasts places at walking distance including in the beautiful Paradeplatz. Breakfast is not that nice here anyway. Personnel is very friendly and helpful and generally the price is in line with the service and the other hotels nearby. Position is very convenient to visit the Quadrat and harbour. Would recommend.

Nice and elegant place! Friendly staff, equipment in the big room includes kettle and desk, phenomenal breakfast (only thing which I missed a bit was sweet pastry like croissants/muffins), but otherwise still very decent choice not only for business trip :) full recommendation

Very good hotel! The personal is very pollite, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was very delicious. And the garden at the backyard is wonderfull.

3 night stay. Room spacious and comfortable. Quiet too. Requested additional pillows from reception and they were more than happy to accommodate. Great location, 20 minutes walk from main station. Easy access to public transport.

We needed a one-night stopover for a family with a 2-year-old. The family room was welcoming, spacious and clean. It had a small bed for our son and a sitting area, plus plenty of space for our child to play in. The staff was excellent and thoughtful, and even remembered our family name later in the day. The hotel bar in the evening looked like a pleasant area to hang out in and the breakfast in the morning was varied, fresh and delicious. We were not aware of any on-site parking, so chose a car park nearby - no problem in itself, but that would have been slightly unhelpful with lots of luggage. However, this will be our first choice hotel if we come back to this city. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Although it was only rated 3 stars the Mercure Hotel Mannheim am Rathaus is easily by far the best Mercure hotels me and my family ever visited. The location is in a quiet side street but the downtown is well within walking distance, staff are friendly, rooms are clear and we really appreciate and enjoy the free snacks and water. Overall a very pleasant stay we had in Mannheim.
