    This is one of my worst hotel experiences. This was business travel and we had a dozen rooms booked. We had a rude person at the front desk for check in and we were given rooms that had no AC. The front desk person at first refused to move us to a room that had working AC. When we threatened to leave the hotel, they moved us to a hotel that had "partial AC". The next day we received no towels in our rooms and were told that they had run out and we would have to wait. Again when we escalated, they found towels in the back room. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

    I've stayed here several times before and always found the service to be very good and the breakfast extremely good. This time, it didn't go so smoothly. On check-in, having booked a double room with sofa, I was allocated a room with 3 beds, already made up but no sofa (or relax-chair) as illustrated on the website for a "double room with sofa". I asked to switch and was given a different room - however it was identical to the first one. I tried for a third time, having to carry my luggage everywhere and this time was given the correct room. I was made to feel as though I had made an error during the booking process. Quite insulting! On checkout, I was asked to pay an energy surcharge - despite having paid for everything up-front and NO MENTION having been made of this charge either during the booking process or at check-in. Very unprofessional, more so the attitude of the Reception when I queried the unexpected charge. Arrogant and unhelpful!

    for one night it’s not bad, the building, the room and the location are functional and standard. not ok: the room door can be pushed open without using the key card. disturbing technical noises could be heard in the room through all the night.

    This hotel falls short of a four-star rating in our experience. We encountered several issues during our stay. The hotel premises and rooms appeared quite worn down. Unfortunately, our initial room was unclean, necessitating a room change. To our shock, we were given key cards for a room already occupied by someone else. This was a disconcerting situation. The subsequent room was vacant but had a malfunctioning air conditioning system, which was particularly uncomfortable on a warm night, leaving our dog distressed. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and offered us complimentary breakfast as a kind gesture, although the breakfast buffet did not meet our expectations. Due to these challenges, we decided to switch hotels for the remainder of our stay in Mannheim.

    I recently had the pleasure of visiting this Hotel, and I felt compelled to share my outstanding experience, specifically regarding the excellent service provided by the blonde barman. His warm and friendly demeanor set a positive tone for my evening. His professionalism and attentiveness were truly remarkable. Not only did he display an extensive knowledge of the drinks menu, but he also took the time to recommend options based on my preferences, showcasing his genuine passion for mixology. It was evident that he takes pride in his work, ensuring that every customer feels valued and well taken care of. I believe that exceptional employees deserve recognition, and his dedication to providing top-notch service certainly deserves acknowledgment. He made my visit to Mercure Hotel Mannheim truly exceptional.

    Nice hotel for a quick rest, clean, good rooms, includes breakfast, bar, internet with low signal at the rooms, no safe box at the room.

    Big room, all comfort, easy check in, parking, bar, possibility to have breakfast on terrace. However some details ; shoe shine machine on 5th floor not connected, service at breakfast slow, eggs missing and not refilled in time, lack of lactosefree yoghurt.

    The A/C doesnt work in the room and hotel is very filthy. I just found cockroaches in the room and the hotel manager said that it is NORMAL as it rains and we are near a park so they come in. Whaaaat? Normal to have cockroaches in the hotel??? Update following day (3rd night). After reporting issue of cockroaches in room manager offered me a free night which was appreciated. He also assured that this was just a “bug from the tree”. I am uploading videos of the room so everyone can judge the cockroach which is Blatella germanica. At the same time in this new room I found another cockroach (juvenile form) AND while paying for the car park a cockroach (adult form) came out of the pay machine. I even had to bring in a glass the cockroach to the reception to show how bad the situation is. (See pictures attached) The entire hotel should be closed and sanitised properly before allowing new guests in. This is not the level for a 4 stars hotel or anyway ANY form of accommodation.

    The hotel is very basic, but the problem was with the service: they didn't clean my room one day and another day, they didn't change the towels. So, very bad service.

    Very lovely and cozy hotel within a walking distance from the city center. It was easy to arrive by car as there were plenty of free spots to park and the parking wasn't expensive. It was also pretty easy to find after exiting the Autobahn. The service was always helpful, kind and polite. The room was clean and had the amenities we needed. We absolutely loved the breakfast buffet with a lot of variety to choose from as well as the delicious tea selection. I know for sure where to stay next time. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and easy!

    I have a confirmed booking via Accor hotels for August 20th 2022. I arrived at the hotel only to see the message on the door that the hotel is closed. No email or message for the hotel.

    Hotel needs renovation and it looked scruffy. To parc your car on the ground is costing 8 euro as a gast which is strange.

    Cozy hotel for a short day, I was there one night because of an A-ha concert. The location is perfect, right next to the local train station. The rooms are very comfortable, the lobby service quick and friendly. The bar is nice to have a few drinks after the concert. I would only suggest to improve the breakfast offer. Some items did not appear fresh.

    Hotel fairly good, bathrooms were being renovated whilst there, so was work noise in the day. My bathroom was the old one, which isn't bad, at least the shower is powerful. The room itself is smart. The staff were helpful and breakfast was good. WiFi was free but rather slow. It was just enough for low resolution YouTube, clearly trying to force you on to the premium offering. It's near the excellent gardens, well worth visiting whilst you stay.

    The hotel was good, the room was spacious enough. There was only one challenge. Both I and my wife are vegetarians, and the hotel restaurant had only one option and it was of really bad taste. At least the staff was really nice there. If they have a good vegetarian options as well, I'd rate them with all 5 stars.

    Mercure usually have a good 4* standard. For me it means clean at the very least. This Mercure is very old and not clean. Not the kind of room where you will walk barefooted after your shower. I'm sure they suffered from corona but that's not a reason.

    Hello I gave you only two stars for several reasons. The person at the reception did not want to put my invoice on my Business+ account, they did not want to give me a two-seater duvet and they asked to wear an FFP2 mask while the hotel staff do not wear it Sincerely Mr Moignet pierre-edouard

    So where do I begin. My first disappointment with this place was...it wasn't the other Mecure Hotel Rathaus...because I went to that one first by mistake. Second, they didn't have decent parking and the location wasn't the best. The only good thing about their parking situation is that you can park for 9 euro a day. However, why not just allow people who are staying at your dirty hotel anyways to park free? Cleanliness is another reason I only gave this location 1 star. I immediately checked the bathroom and you could see little feces marks from prior guest(s), there was no bag in the trash can (I asked the nice Romanian housekeeper and he gave me a over sized blue one). There was hair on the walls near the toilet area and when I showered the drain seemed to be clogged. Also the house keepers did such a great job cleaning, there were even belongings left behind from the prior guest. There was a coffee maker for those pod things provided in the room but it looked filthy. Another reason why I don't recommend this location, as soon as you walk into the hotel it smells like heavy cigarette smoke. I booked for two nights and luckily I got my money back so I didn't have to stay another night.

    Dirty stained carpets burned with cigarette, walls stained and dust everywhere. After reporting cockroaches at the reception the response is 'and what i am suppose to do?' Poor customer service. This definitely does not reflect the normal standards of a 4 star hotel, never had such a bad experience.
