I have never found a place with such a poor service. Waitress are unfriendly and impolite, service is really slow, they often forget to warm up your sandwiches so you need to wait 20 minutes to have it (it happened to me 2 times), there is no organization of tables so it makes even slower and some children go in the kitchen and take muffins with their hands, which is not hygienic. If you want to be upset and stressed for the rest of your day just go there.

I like this cafe, it has good food and coffee with a reasonable price. BUT I really don’t like the staffs attitude towards the customers. The food usually has to wait for a long time and they don’t call when your food’s finish. Today, there’s a staff KEEP COUGHING DIRECTLY towards the food and coffee I ordered. EVEN IF you are vaccinated, please at least wear the mask CORRECTLY when you HAVE THE SYMPTOMS!!!!

ice coffee is quite weird and didn't taste as I expect. i thought an ice coffee should be in black and with only ice floating, but I got a coffee with something inside, which is making the coffee white and creamy, but it's not quite like milk while the flavor didn't fit either. except for that, other products are pretty tasty

Really nice place to have a coffee during the day! The staff is always really friendly and the space really pleasant! Very often i work during the afternoon in the coffee and can say it is a really nice place to do that, i can also see other people doing the same. The prices are really nice and attractive! Unfortunately cards are not accepted, only money.

One of my favorite places in Mannheim. There’s a lot of space outside under the trees. Not much food options but the drinks are very varied. And they have plant milk, which is a big plus for me. I love the banana frappe in the summer! Good to know: They only take cash.

Interesting range of drinks selection at Cafe Sammo Zen. Tucked away next to a university library along a small road, it is often packed with students, young adults and working class who either enjoy the dark, artsy design of the interior or takeaway. The prices are reasonable, and the place is often busy. Unfortunately, the service isn't top notch. Staff can be quite harsh, uninterested and impatient. They're very busy and constantly rushing, undoubtedly because of the sheer number of customers they have and the small space they have to manoeuvre behind the counter. Hopefully something could be done about the service and how they handle the stress of work and the almost never ending flow of customers.

Lovely place to meet up with friends over a coffee or other beverage and some snacks. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is inviting.

Usually I like this Cafe... But! ...The last visit changed my opinion dramatically! First of all, the barista was very unfriendly. Then, despite of the fact that it was possible to order a salad, there was no bread left (it is usually included in the price). As a result I had to order a pizza as a substitute. But this pizza contained human hairs!!! Finally, the coffee that was ordered, was not served at all! And no excuses for anything.That is a pity, Sammo. One star.

The coffee and cakes were tasty, but it was incredibly loud, since the cafe is close to a school and students will regularly come in in noisy waves. Service was visibly annoyed at every placed order, and I observed several small incidents where they were thoughtlessly unhelpful to other customers.

Nice looking place. Good atmosphere. Food good. Coffee burnt unfortunately. They need to figure out how to make good coffee - then the place would be a real winner.

Nice coffee and snacks at student-friendly prices ! The ideal location to grab a coffee with friends after class or during a break from the library… inside or if the weather allows on the terrasse !

Guys,there is a Star Coffee a bit further with really caring service and great coffee options. A bit pricy but definetly worth it.

Cafe Sammo in A3 was opened in November 2012 in the former rooms of Meyerbeer Coffee. The service is good, but during semester it is completely crowded as the largest lecture hall of the University of Mannheim is just next to the coffee. The coffee is excellent and also the snacks (Salad etc.) are very delicious. In summertime there are chairs and tables outside to sit in the sun and relax.

Very nice and friendly staff. Coffee is really tasty and the coffee of the day is highly recommended. Amazing spot to spend a warm summer afternoon 😁😁
