the atmosphere is very good, especially if you want a calm environment to have a meeting or even to eat good food. Its also well located. unfortunately my club sandwich came cold, as if they had prepared it like 5 hours before but then the restaurant fixed it and it was super delicious. It was a good experience

A very modern hotel. The room was very large and comfortable with a king sized bed and the most luxurious bed coverings. The roof terrace and pool were great if a little tired in places, the view from the terrace was super. The ground floor piano bar, bistro restaurant and terrace were lovely and cool on an evening away from the intense heat of the day. The staff were friendly and the service was wonderful. However; We hired a car through the hotel concierge - MozTours. The vehicle that they provided turned out to be dangerous and unroadworthy. The brakes did not work properly when the vehicle was cold, nor did the coolant. They (MozTours) contacted us during the hired period asking for us to fill the vehicle up with oil so poor was the condition of the vehicle - none of this was apparent at first. In addition, MozTours provided us with expired vehicle documents that became apparent when we tried to cross the border into Eswatini where it also became apparent that they had lied to us about the age of the vehicle - it was much older than what we had been advised. On our return to Maputo they invented new charges even though we had returned the dangerous vehicle the day before the hire period ended.

I stayed in hotel Avenida for almost a month while working in Maputo. The hotel is very nice and comfortable and the location is great (very close to the ministries neighborhood and also not far from city center / Baixa and from the coast / avenida Marginal). The view of the city from the rooftop is very nice. The staff is very diligent and friendly. And the breakfast is very good. If there is one thing that was not excellent it is the internet speed, which could be better.

Visited November 2023; A five-star hotel located in the city within the business district. The hotel had a grand reception and entrance that led into the piano bar, restaurant and outside terrace that were lovely. The room was generous in size and lush. A king sized bed, four piece bathroom and ample space to relax. The roof terrace adjacent to the gym and spa were welcomed additions. The terrace itself had a pool, wrought iron sun-loungers and a 180° sea view. The terrace had a great view of the Maputo-Katembe bridge, the longest suspension bridge on the African continent. From the hotel the cathedral, botanical gardens and Praça da Independência are in easy walking distance as is Club Naval. The food, service and bar were excellent - highly recommended.

One of the best hotels in Mozambique. Excellent food. Very good coffee breaks, excellent lunch and dinner. Tasty seafood, tasty duck.

The service and quality at the hotel are top-class, but the first experience, which started with the airport pickup, was not so. The shuttle driver was not helpful at all and showed no courtesy with regard to helping with luggage trolley even for the lady with us. The AC in the shuttle needs work as it did not cool at all, both ways, and the driver did not carry any drinking water even when picking up guests on a very hot afternoon.

The hotel was impressive, from the staff to the facility itself. The meals were always fresh and tasty, and the rooms were always clean. I enjoyed my first visit to Mozambique. Thanks to Hotel Avenida and its professional staff. Keep it up!!!

Fantastic experience. The hotel is generally clean and spacious with friendly staff. I enjoyed the health facilities at the top most floor. Food is fresh simple and nicely prepared. WIFI is good. The only small issue is there is no conventional electric jug for teas if you are not familiar with the coffee machine. Furthermore the meeting rooms could have been better with bigger screens and good audios. All the same it’s a NICE hotel.

Its excellent place to stay. It has qualified and attentive staff to support the customer whenever necessary. Delicious food, spacious rooms, a good Gym and above all its safe.

The hotel infrastructure is good. You may however consider a staggered renovation on the floors by changing the carpet to tiles. These days its more friendly to have tiles than carpet. Some guests are asthmatic and are affected by dust and most condition of carpets.

The hotel is clean, new, very nice prepared and located in a central place (walking distance to everyhere). The staff is very friendly and ready to help.

I like the staff and helpfulness in quickly attending tto client's needs. That said I think management can help by indicating the use of some gadgets in the hotel.. for example there is a gadget I'm the bathroom just below the shaver whose use I didn't know. Secondly, the bathtub knob for water to fall from the top shower wasn't working and had to fill water in the bathtub, which I think it's not sustainable in view of the need to serve water... The hotel cleaners were perfect. Regarding food, it was alright but I think a taste of Mozambican traditional food would have been great. I also know Mozambique being rich in sea foods, so naturally, I expected the buffet menu to include some of the sea foods. Thank you for making me feel at home..

My stay at Avenida was guite very good. It's a secure place. The rooms were good and the food. The internet was reliable and within many services such as the banks and other restaurants.

I enjoyed my stay with you. I love the gym, and ocean view over there, rooms clean and we'll maintained, nice food though limited on fresh juice and an almost monotony of the same food everyday, secured place with many accesses to other services and facilities. I would surely love to stay with you again

Stayed at the hotel for a little over a week. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, any requests from the guests were resonded to in a reasonable and prompt manner. The food was abundant and delicious with a lot of items to choose from. In addition, the location is great allowing for a quick access to the beach and many shops and a beautiful artisanal market.

Enjoyed my stay during my first visit to Mozambique. Housekeeping was very good. Nice location too.

Hotel is good.sarvice is over all room quality is excellent. Just this time I feel hotel now on cost reduce they are perviously giving Mineral water but now hotel using package drinking water. That is only from my side

Perfect location! A very comfortable few nights here, great rooms with windows that can open! Early winter so the outside temp suited me. The entire staff are so very helpful, from front door, reception restaurant bars and house keeping they are great 👍 Breakfast had everything I was looking for with lots of grass fresh fruit, nice cerals and bread. The rooms are very clean, and spacious - bathrooms snug but well equipped. Really good range of toiletries. A great range of bars, cafes, and restaurants nearby. This is a lovely city to explore, go for a walk in any direction and you'll find something of interest.

I am very happy. The room is neat and comfortable. Everything works well.Staff are excellent.Though I dont speak Portuguese I never had a problem to get what I wanted. The location is also great. I had a nice walk alongside the Indian Ocean which was about two minutes' walk from the Hotel. Cant wait to come back again.

I was impressed by the training and friendliness of the hotel staff, they are among the best I have encountered. The hotel is very conveniently located and has good amenities, including a well equipped gym. I did get stuck in the lift at one stage but the anxious staff got us out pretty quickly! I enjoyed the piano bar but was disappointed that the prices for drinks were sometimes twice the price of the local restaurants and bars; I am sure that the hotel bar would be better patronized if the prices were more reasonable. All in all, however, a very enjoyable stay!

The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The rooms are very clean with a great ambiance. I enjoyed my stay, its a hotel to stay while in Maputo. Its also at rhe centre of many amenities.

The Avenida Hotel is well located in downtown Maputo, and has all facilities that one could ask for. The rooms and all areas of the hotel are well maintained and very clean, well furnished and comfortable. The staff are friendly ... actually magic!!! The only thing that I would request to change are the hours of the gym, this should be open earlier than 06:30, this is too late and in the evenings allowed to close later, better yet 24-hour availability would be great. We go to Maputo a couple of hours before our meeting with clients. We had our luggage with us and decided to just try and see if hotel Avenida will allow us to check in way before the stipulated time. Without any trouble we got assisted. Secondly the day I checked out, I had an early flight and the hotel restaurant allowed me to get some coffee and whatever was available at that time. That's what I call service :-) . You bend your back for your client and not use the rule book at all times. I am still impressed.

I've had a chance to stay at the hotel for so many weeks within this year. Avenida is a great hotel with high standards of facility offering, the rooms being very comfortable and super clean. The food is also great. There are 3 areas that need attention: 1. Booking: sometimes there is confusion as to which email address to send booking request. If the guest is not aware the request may be forwarded to Portugal. 2. Parking: there isn't enough parking at the back especially if there is an event at the hotel. 3. Meeting rooms: only big meeting rooms are available. Need to have smaller meeting rooms to host 5 - 10 people. What I like most: Cleanness of the hotel. Housekeeping are doing an excellent job.

My stay at Hotel Avenida was, as always, excellent. Their staff is always friendly, courteous and professional. I always look forward to the breakfast, which is the best that one can ask for, with a wide variety, good quality food. I love their home made juice blend. The rooms are spacious and has a nice table to work at. The bathroom is provided with all necessities and more. I am looking forward to my next stay.

H. AVENIDA has a really nice decoration and ambient, which is perfect for a businessperson. The internet work perfectly. The room is very comfortable and nice decorated, very well equipped. The terrace, near the lobby is perfect, as well as the breakfast and the personal in the breakfast and restaurants. The people in reception is very kind and helpful... could be a bit more smiling... but it´s ok, they are helpful and professional. I will come back, for sure. Best regards,

The hotel has excellent services apart form the internet which was poor and restricted to 2 units which is not applicable for international visitors who have work and personal gadgets to catch up with family back in their countries. Make the wifi accessible to all the visitor electronics (laptop/phones/ipad)

I loved the hotel their rooms were luxurious and the hotel had very good COVID-19 prevention measures which were followed and enforced meticulously by staff. The restaurant however did not have much variety. The location is superb with many banks, restaurants and bars within walking distance. The ocean is also close by

was very impressed with the worldly standards of the hotel. just a slight comment on food. in the times when there is no barfare there should be a wide choice of food at the bar. it was kind of restricting other wise all was super
