Delicious place with a great service. Would definitely revisit again when i am in beirut. I suggest to try the tacos as they are amazing they may look small but they will make you full. And if you sit outside you will be visited by a friendly high end cat that only eats salmon and wagyu 🐱

27$ for 2 tacos that are extremely tiny. While they may have been delicious the prices are simply unreasonable. I am not sure who their clientele is but I can certainly say that it is overpriced and overhyped. If I pay 27$ for tacos I expect them to be mind blowing and satisfy my hunger unlike these which required me to order more food. Would rate it 1 star if the food wasn't good.

Seafood focused place next to Saifi Village, so that is what you will get in different forms (soups, salads, breads, grilled etc.). From coffees only espresso is served. The seating outside looks lovely but is not comfortable. Service was not very effective. Prices pretty high.

"Meat the Fish" in Beirut meets global standards with its exceptional food quality. From succulent salmon to exquisite fatty bluefin tuna, flavorful seabass, and tender meats, the flavors are unforgettable. The ambiance and attentive staff complete the outstanding dining experience. A must-visit for food enthusiasts.

Loved the place! Highly recommended for raw fish eaters. Slightly expensive for whoever is looking for an economy meal. I would definitely go there again (lunch only) I don’t think it’s suitable for dinners.

Meet the fish is probably one of the most overrated restaurants in Lebanon . The food was really normal and there was nothing special about it in addition to the the fact that portions aren’t even good for an average person . Also , prices there aren’t logical at all considering portions and ingredients .

The place is nice!! The food is good especially the tacos, but the whole eating experience is not exceptional!! Overpriced (expensive) compared to the place style and food quality. We came as a group of 4 (from Jordan) and we paid 330$.. very overpriced for a restaurant in Lebanon.

It should be a nice and chilled place, but it is unexplicably expensive. I mean the place looks nice and unpretentious. You get in it's chill. You can chose the meat and the fish (from plastic packages in a freezer) and the you eat it with regular side dishes likemashed potatoes, grilled vegetables, whatever. They have some real nice appetizers like oysters and all, but it definitely doesn't look like the size of the bill you'll get. It would get five stars easy if it came out at a third of the price. If I'm willing to spend that much money, I'm going to one of the many upscale restaurants in town. If I want a chill place, I'd go to one of the many cheap restaurants in town.

Meat the fish is a must visit restaurant when you’re visiting downtown Beirut. It is one gem of a restaurant. The problem with this place is that you gotta squeeze yourself inside because the place is tiny and even outside because you gotta sit on a narrow sidewalk. And although the food is amazing the prices are sky high. Sometimes it’s worth it, but sometimes it’s not!

One of the top places i town however Today the black bao bun - It had some hard flavour that left me and my wife feeling a littlr sick for 3 hours afterwards (not sure if we are over sentsitive to a certian ingredient or something was off..) Beef tacos are always amazing though so are the raw fish items and salads

If rating the food only I would say a really good place as the burger were amazing. However once you factor in the price of the various items, it becomes ridiculously expensive 37$ for a very tasty tiny burger, 7$ pr oyster etc

  • 1/5 Sara J. 1 year ago on Google
The food was really tasteless, and didn’t feel or taste fresh. On top of that it was very overpriced. We ended up paying $200 for 3 people. Wouldn’t go there again for sure

Love the atmosphere but the food delivery took its sweet time and the menu is over priced. Food was fresh especially the salmon, salads and avocado.

We were here for early light lunch. They have fresh fish every day and the avocado toast with smoked salmon is delicious. Definitely worth going and very close to the mosque if you are around in this area

This place remains one of the best places in the world for me to get the freshest , best quality, and tastiest food. With everything happening in Beirut, they are still operating on a whole different level. So proud of establishments that hold true to their values and what they set up to do.

  • 4/5 Lynn W. 1 year ago on Google
A little overpriced (over $60 per person) but every penny worth it to be honest. Ceviche wasnt great (we ordered it with smoked salmon) but as usual, the sashimi platter and market salad were amazinggg! The cucumber starters they brought were also really good. They didnt have many items, so we ended up ordering the fish and ships as a main. The sauce was a yuzu ponzu mix and was interesting with the fish. The fish was tiny and quite a bit overcooked. I’ll be back to try their bizri and definitely for that sashimi. Melts on your tongue. Also unrelated but that bathroom is the cleanest public bathroom ive ever seen. Love it ✅ love that the standards here dont change.

Cozy place with a very simple menu to indulge in sushi and fresh fish. Prices are a bit higher but it's so worth to try the delicious specials of the day. Table to be shared or nice seating by the window.

Pretty chill spot where my friends and I like to hangout when we don’t know what we’re in the mood for exactly, be it coffee and/or nibbles that might evolve into full on lunch or dinner. Vegetarian options. Located in the Quartier des Arts in Saifi village, the surroundings are of a polished Beirut charm. They have a lot of imported goods, some good dessert stands (recommend the Rouba Khalil cookies, peanut butter and salted caramel popcorn and the coconut ice cream lolly from the fridge). A bit overpriced and trying a bit too hard with the niche imported goods on the shelves.

  • 3/5 Yara A. 4 years ago on Google
Slightly overpriced for the dishes served. Awkward setup. Quality of food is good but seating is uncomfortable, the items served in bowls and treys need more space than the bar seating can provide. Some dishes are hit and miss, a lot are sub par. General room for improvement with flavors because the quality is good.

(Translated by Google) Small ultra fresh fish restaurant. It is also possible to buy fish or other products to take away. The restaurant is very nice especially when we visited the city under the heat because it is very cool. The atmosphere could be reminiscent of a restaurant in Scandinavia. The decoration is raw but corresponds to the atmosphere. The dishes are very fresh and excellent. A very good place to recommend.

Good food but too expensive. 20$ for avocado toasts and coffee, really too much. It is rich district, but bit of equilibrium is needed.

  • 2/5 Chadi S. 4 years ago on Google
Overpriced and boring. They haven't changed their menu in ages and I can't understand how people pay so much money to sit on a sidewalk. A place to see and be seen.

  • 3/5 Rayya H. 4 years ago on Google
The quality for cost isn’t worth it neither is the negligent service. The casual atmosphere on the other hand is pleasant. 3 out of 5 of us got sick after having seafood here.

I actually never reviews but I thought this was absolutely necessary to. Yes I'm western so my comment may seem it. But if you're looking for a nice, upscale place, with ACTUAL AIR CONDITIONING in Beirut, this is it. Not typical European/Lebanese bar service either. Bartender very attentive and helpful. They also take credit card, not many in Lebanon right now do. I had a dozen oysters that were surprisingly fresh! And you can pick the meat right from the fridge for them to cook. Sure it's pricey but for a reason. 5 star

We were there at around 3:00 ish....it was 65% full on a Monday...i started with oysters then shared the Salmon Sashimi platter ...and then Bagel cream cheese and Lox ...The oysters were out this world Fresh , i still have the Ocean taste in my mouth..my wife got the the Brie, avocado Turkey on rye sandwich which was a little dry..but Overall ..i would definitely recommend this Bistro in Saifi village to all..i will be going there for sure next week to try out their other hidden treasures....maybe King Crabs and Lobster.. ? if available.
