Good place to have some drinks and some mexican food. Service was good and food was tasty. Recommended.

I am changing my review to 2 stars, went there last night, the music wasn’t nice, the food is belowwww average not to mention the margaritas that was pure lemon and salt and barely taste of tequila. It’s a shame cause that place was my favorite in Mar Michael. And now it’s below average. The only good thing is the service

First thing that makes this place better is thr somewhat private entrance away from the street. The ambiance is super nice, the place has something magical to it The music is surprisingly great The food is good but overall average (the portions are small compared to the prices) Chicken quesadillas, good but really small portion Taquitos were really good Beef and shrimp fajitas were good The drinks were really tasty with decent alcohol content and quality Mai tai was superb Long island was tasty as well as the gin basil Highly recommended, one of the best in mar mkhayel area👌🏻

I used to be a regular at this pub, after covid, the pub is always empty even on weekend. I was sad to see that it is no longer fully booked like the good old days. I asked myself why is that pub empty. I got the answer directly when I noticed that all the staff changed and they are unprofessional. Only the assistant manager knows whats on the menu. All waiters should call him to ask him the reply to our question. The food is average now, and the portions are much smaller. The worst part, is that today, the black market rate of the $ is 51000. When i wanted to pay the bill they informed me that the rate is 45000 and that i should lose that difference of 6000 since they cannot change it in the system. ( i wanted to pay in $ ) The assistant manager understood my point and knows me well since i came several times in the past few days. In order to solve that issue, he told to the manager to come, i explained my point, the only solution for him was: go and exchange outside ( it was 1 AM ). I told him that he will lose a loyal customer since I will not have millions of LBP in my pocket everytime i come and I prefer to pay in $. But at the right rate or less than 2000 is fine. He did not even care and turned his back and left. I will never come back again and won't recommend it to anyone. Sorry about that. The assistant manager is the only good guy in that pub and should replace the manager.

the new year's eve was a disaster at all levels. main dish and desert not served. margarita made with the cheapest tequila possible. arabic music all night long in a tex mex restaurant.

Food is alright, but a little overpriced for the quality and what you're getting. Tried the tacos, which were good, but the salsa was far from it, as well as the truffle fries. Drinks were diluted and barely average tasting. Service was friendly, but the atmosphere was disappointing, it looks great from the outside but once inside my expectations were not met, and the music was bad and EXTREMELY loud

Excellent overall experience. It really started great at the door with their warm welcome. We came as walk-in and place was crowded. The manager was extremely helpful to find us a table for four. We ordered nachos with guacamole that was freshly made. The waiter advised us to try the caipirinha. It was the right choice. It is a must to try it. Fantastic music and ambience. Highly recommended!

Great DJ, drinks and best atmosphere!

Lovely gem in the heart of Mar mkhayel on the main road. Super friendly staff and very accommodating manager, he gave us a table right away, without reservation. Very nice outdoor area with a bar and the main indoor area, with another bar. The crowd was older (50+) but i wouldnt brand it as that as ive been to several parties of age 25-35. We had the breaded baby calamari and tempura jumbo shrimps as appetizers and beef fajitas with pineapple. Food was well prepared and neatly presented. The quantities are a bit low, especially the beef in the fajita. Prices range: 40 dollars per person Highly recommended

Simply one of the best places in Mar Mkhael, whether for a date or to hang out with friends. Nice and cozy ambiance. Friendly and professional service and very good food and drinks. We ordered quesadillas, nachos and their special pizza for starters followed by their chicken fajitas. Simply amazing! I always recommend this place since they were open in Gemmayze.

Had a great time at Joe Pena's. Sat by the bar. Aziz did a great job to keep us company and serve us good cocktails and shots. The Espresso Martini and Mexican beer were great! The music and vibe were very nice; a mix of Arabic and English songs, while people were singing and dancing. Thank you for the good times. Recommend.

Great mexican place to go to. The pub featires 80s and 90s music with a twist. The food is great there and the ambiance is even better.

VERY bad service. I don’t recommend this place at all. It used to be one of the best, but not anymore! Bad service, bad staff, food is average. Music is too loud for a resto/pub. Aaaand not to forget, among a long list of “unfortunate” events, we asked the waitress about a certain drink and her solution was for us to google it. Yes, really!

The worst restaurant ever, agressive staff. Not friendly at all. Drunk owner/director. I have never lived a dinner like this one. Shame on you. Very high prices to pay for a dinner of junk food. Margaritas was like water, no taste. We did have things that we didn’t order coming to our table. We payed 700$ for 7 people. The worst restaurant in mar mkhael, even the worst restaurant in lebanon. It had to be closed end of story

Very slow service, ordered drinks as soon as we arrived (on a thursday) and it took them 20 minutes to serve us (4 people)

Best Mexican food in Beirut, the atmosphere and music is great and the star appetizer for me is the wings (definitely recommended) with a fruity margarita !

One Rude waiter that was very unwelcoming. Very unexpected in Beirut given how nice everyone has been since I arrived. The restaurant is saved by good cocktails and acceptable Mexican food (for the middle East).
