One of the best places to have a coffee and study in the afternoon and enjoy a drink in the evening. Staff are very friendly and food and cocktails are really amazing. They usually have a jazz band playing every friday evening. Highly recommended!

I'm absolutely obsessed with Aaliya's Books! It's the type of place I could spend all day in. They would literally have to kick me out, lol. It's cozy, clean, and very comfortable. You could open a book and completely forget you're not at home in your living room. I believe they share a kitchen with the restaurant next door. (The Barn, also a great spot!) So, although I didn't order food from there, I'm confident in saying that it's delicious. I really liked their Mojito but wasn't a huge fan of the house Martini. (I'm not a fan of grapefruit) If you like grapefruit, then you'll love it! They've got a good selection of books and a few games, and I'm a chess player myself. There's also a small, cozy private room with wine. (No pics as it was occupied at the time.) I highly recommend and will 100% be returning when in Beirut. It's one of my favorite spots! Do enjoy!

Love this place. Such a chilled vibe with so much offer. Come to chill and have a breakfast and coffee in the day time. Or come to drink cocktails in the evenings. Lots of cool events. Super friendly staff. Great for expats.

The staff are very friendly and the drinks are tasty. The food tastes amazing but the food service is slow. Prices are reasonable and the place is lit! Highly recommended.

A lovely place to have a drink. A unique idea of having a book in one hand and a glass of wine in the other. Make sure you sit next to the chimney! Yep you read it right the chimney...staff is cool and very friendly. The menu is even handwritten. Has an indoor and outdoor place. A definite place to visit again.

I bet this is the best place to work, read or just chill. Wonderful interior. Book corner is so satisfying, couches are comfy, ambiance is amazing with great cheerful music. Free good WiFi is available also, and pets are allowed to come in. Prices are reasonable and waiters are extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly, and so is the owner. Try their french press coffee, it's marvelous. And their granola breakfast is so yummy too. Aaliya's books recently became one of my fav spot in town. I Highly Recommend it.

A very nice place for drinks, food, books and gatherings. They have a small chimney cause why not 🤩😎 Perfect for a glass of wine... Their menu is handwritten which changes every 2 weeks. Food is good. They have also a big library with a cool selection. A nice place worth trying...

The atmosphere is nice but the internet connection was super bad. I couldn’t even log to my mail. I needed to do something urgent for work and couldn’t. Service was average. Food was ok (i ordered the eggs bagel)

One of my favourite places in Beirut! It’s a cafe / bookshop / bar / bookshop all in one and overall place to relax, eat, drink and read. They have a fantastic collection of books (mostly in English) and have wonderful events on most of the week.

I've enjoyed coming here when I'm in Beirut! The coffee and books are well priced, and the people there are excellent! Since I've been coming, they now host more events. I like how it's turned into a social hub!

Absolutely beautiful place and they were super nice as well so it hurts me to leave this one star but in 2022 I think having at least one plant based milk (soy/oat/etc milk) to go with coffee is the minimum. I know lebanon is going through a rough time but a few other cafes in the street do offer it at the moment! Will definitely remove the review if they add it ☺️🙏🏽

Nice staff and nice inside, but it took them one hour and 20 minutes to make this cheese sandwich....

Probably the most pleasant space to work from in Beirut. Note you can order food from the other restaurants. Great atmosphere.

Beautiful place, love the idea of a bookshop, bar & cafe crossover. There is a secret rooftop which is lovely!

Before taking my flight back, I finish my holiday in Lebanon in this place. I liked it to drink a coffee latte while discovering books by Lebanese authors. Before leaving, I bought a great comic book from a Lebanese author, an excellent spot to find reading souvenirs. If I return to this place, I will also take my laptop to work from there. I see some people working from there, and I didn't find many in this area doing it. P.S: If you are a Radiohead fan, if I understand correctly, one of the staff members loves to play it in the background.

The place itself was very cozy, (I was sitting outside) the waiters are all very nice and when I went to sit to the bar, I was amazed by the band that was playing, and the mood with the books is really amazing

A very nice cafe/bar located in Gemmayzeh. A go-to place if you want some quick healthy bites, a drink, or a refreshing lemonade. The staff are some of the friendliest that I have ever met. Friendly ambience, nice music, and chill place. You can work from there as well. They have jam sessions (you can find more information about their events on their Instagram account). They have a library which is being renovated after the Beirut Blast.
