No better way to start your day. Every detail of this cafe is made with care and quality. From the drinks and food to the service and ambiance. The smoothie combinations are innovative, healthy, and tasty. The coffee is delicious with a diverse selection of plant-based milks that most cafes in Spain don’t offer like almond milk. The tostada is amazing and one of the best I’ve had, even being gluten-free. And the cakes blew my mind, not too sweet, dry, or tasteless which tends to happen with vegan gluten free. The owners/employees even under stress maintained a kind loving disposition and the atmosphere was super welcoming and cozy. On top of all of that, the price is just right and you don’t feel taken advantage of at all despite the gluten free selection which is usually used as justification to make everything expensive. It made my return to Granada after many years even more special. Hasta pronto ❤️

Wonderful breakfast in a very pleasant space/vibe. The man working there was very polite and pleasant. We don’t speak Spanish and he was very patient while we determined what we wanted and helped to provide suggestions. I got a cappuccino and a toast with tomato and avocado. Both were wonderful! The others I traveled with got the same plus the ‘jungle juice smoothie’ and loved it. 10/10! I will be back.

My favourite cafe for a morning coffee and breakfast in Granada! The place is family run, and from Italy so they know coffee. And if you love Italian baked treats you will love this place!

It can be as simple as a slice of bread with tomatoes. Only 1,40euros. It was absolutely delicious. And the iced drinks are so nice, especially when it is hot. Another good thing is that there are a lot of power sockets, so when you need to charge your phone after a long day of walking, this is the place to be.

The bagel sandwhich with salmon was much better than expected! It surprised me because I’ve had a number of bagels in the US East Coast. It was so fresh with a slight crunch—almost but not quite like a Montreal style bagel. The coffee was excellent and staff very friendly. I felt welcomed and hung out for awhile because of the good vibes.

This is the coffee shop right by my place and the spot where I always love to come in. The owner just gave me a cappuccino for free when my card wasn’t working. It is that kind of service that feels so special and keeps me coming back. The wifi is great (which is hard to find in most Granada coffee shops). The pastries are great. It’s just a great spot- especially if you are looking for somewhere to be a regular

We came here because of the good reviews. It was very crowded, obviously because every other tourist came based on the reviews. At first I was unsure if you could sit inside, but there are a few tables. The workers were stressed, but we didn’t need to wait too long to get our food, about 15 minutes. The ingredients are fresh and it is okay for what it is trying to be, but don’t expect amazing brunch food with freshly fried eggs. It’s a simple coffee place with sandwiches, croissants, simple cake, smoothies.

I was studying in Granada at the University of Granada and one of the favorite things in the city was spending time at I Need Coffee. Not only do they have wonderful coffee, but they also have vegan and gluten free banana breads and vegan croissants that are amazing (even to non-vegans). Also, they have wonderful toasts and bagels if you need something more substancial. Honestly, my favorite part was the staff and the people that I met in the coffee shop. Gennaro is so so kind, will remember your name, and engage in conversation with you. And you get to meet people from all over the world just waiting for your coffee. Cannot recommend enough!

The most amazing vegan croissants I've ever tasted. So buttery, you can't believe it's vegan! The place is always busy and the staff are very friendly. Cappuccino with oat milk is tasty as well as the fresh juice. Highly recommend for vegans as there are a variety of pastries available. The first place I visit every time I go to Granada.

The really best coffee in town!!! Delicious croissants as well! Even in a very busy time the service was quick and friendly and I strongly recommend you try this place for your breakfast at least once while in Granada!!! They also speak English, which is definitely a plus 🤩 6 stars review!!

Lovely little spot for coffee and breakfast with friendly staff. They even paid special attention to my gluten free requirements and had extra GF bread. Unfortunately the GF cake was still in the oven though! 😭

  • 5/5 Maya S. 1 year ago on Google
Super friendly staff and delicious coffee. But best of all was the gluten free AND vegan (dairy free) cakes - not something I come by often and it made my day!! They had 3 options (plus other GF or vegan options), I had the banana cake and it was super yummy. Highly recommend!!

The quality of coffee is better than the standard coffee you’ll drink at a cafe in town. The highlight was my wife’s delicious chai latte (which I was able to steal a sip)! The owner was super friendly. Great prices for the quality.

Super friendly people. Very helpful and served great coffee and snacks. Highly recommended. Vegan and gluten free cakes available. They were very accommodating of our poorly spoken Spanish (but they spoke fluent English anyway) Great music too!

The nice Italian man was so lovely to us. Unfortunately we didn’t get his name but he always made me smile and always had great conversation with his customers. The coffee and pastries were beautiful and so tasty. I came here every morning during my trip to Granada and I will miss it so much.

Cool coffee place, with good coffee and nice toast! (you can choose the ingredients yourself)

Friendly staff, delicious food and coffee. I got the smoked salmon and avocado bagel and oat latte. Both delicious and prepared very quickly. I'd definitely recommend trying out this place!

This is my favourite place for breakfast in Granada. I'm not a coffee drinker, but it is one of the places I'm told has the best coffee. This is very down to earth, but has great quality ingredients, serves earl grey tea (possibly the only place in Granada that gets it right!) and I love the staff - no fuss, but it just feels really homey. I can't wait to go back for more tea and tostada con tomate!

Excelent coffee spot to start the day. Experienced baristas. Great variety of drinks (tea, smoothies, coffee of course), choices of breakfast entries. The staff is very friendly and make you feel right at home. Great ambience, fair prices too.

Such a beautiful cozy little cafe. We had delicious coffee and vegan and gluten free banana bread. The sandwiches are freshly prepared, also for take away. Also the staff is very friendly and kind. I highly recommend this place:)

Some of the best coffee I have had in Europe. I ended up sampling most of the menu. Croissant loaded with ham, cheese, avacado and tomato was the perfect breakfast before exploring Alhambra.

  • 4/5 Veronika H. 5 months ago on Google
I liked the atmosphere here. The staff was friendly. The food was good, but too costly from my experience (bocadillo with two ingredients for 4,20 €). Both the matcha laté and chai laté were awesome. Definitely a nice place with this "hipster vibe", but not over-hyped, however the prices are a little bit higher.

I highly recommend I Need Coffee in Granada as your go-to spot for a delightful coffee experience. Nestled in the heart of the city, it's the perfect place to rest your feet after a morning of exploring and savor a steaming cup of joe and indulge in a delicious fresh bocadillo. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff make it an ideal spot to unwind and recharge. Don't miss out on this hidden gem for your caffeine and bocadillo cravings!

Nice food and drinks, the cakes are all gluten-free! Try the fresh and healthy pomegranate juice from Granada!

Lovely little cafe, had lots of vegan options available and all reasonably priced. Very friendly warm staff, would definitely go again!

  • 4/5 Ondřej . 5 months ago on Google
Amazing atmosphere and a nice service with a "Starbucks" style name calling at the bar. While the Chai latte was superb, the bocadillos were a little bit bland for the price of more than 4 EUR. I would appreciate at least a bit of olive oil inside, but apart from the ingredients you specifically order it's just plain bread, good one at that, but not the best.

Don’t order americano, lol. Worst coffee in my 2 months of travelling Spain. Also first time getting this massive size? Could not drink it.

  • 5/5 Freddie B. 2 years ago on Google
Fantastic coffee shop with a great selection of cakes and light snacks. The hummus and avocado on toast (or croissant) was delicious!

  • 5/5 Samuel R. 2 years ago on Google

  • 5/5 Aydin S. 2 years ago on Google
So far the best coffee I have had in Spain. Create your own toast and gluten free cakes. And the dude running it is totally lovely

  • 4/5 David V. 2 years ago on Google
Poorly made soya flat white - too strong and no latte art you would expect from a speciality coffee shop - it wasn’t made with love. The vegan bagel was nice. The homemade vegan carrot cake was lovely and moist. Service was ok. Indifferent vibes.

  • 5/5 Cyrielle A. 2 years ago on Google
We found this little coffee shop and we had latte / flat white but also toasts. Everything was yummy and the barista is very friendly!

The food is good, but the staff is not very friendly to tourists and you wait quiet a time for your food…

  • 5/5 Deborah F. 2 years ago on Google
If you’re looking for excellent strong coffee, healthy smoothies all while listening to great jazz classics this is the place for you. The owner is very friendly and courteous and makes you feel at home in this cozy spot. We spent a week in Granada and returned every morning to start our day. Don’t hesitate to go to “I Need”! It’s a gem.

Really nice cosy place. Atmosphere is lovely and ppl that works there super friendly. Vegan cake are available, Smoothie was good, as well the coffee. The menu give you a good choice for sweet or savoury food to have with your coffee or juice or smoothie. I will go back and I recommend.

Great coffee and excellent service. Personalized food, helpful explanations, and very patient with folks who don't speak Spanish. Excellent vegan chocolate cakes, sandwiches, and drinks. Highly recommend.

Was super excited after reading reviews but employee was very eh that we even came in. When I asked what Gluten Free options she had (because I found this listing on my GF app), she said, "There" and pointed to the top shelf. Carrot cake was pretty moist but the ceiling fan was blowing on the half covered Saran Wrap, which made half of it dried out. Smoothie was good.

Excellent breakfast. The toast with avocado and tomato was heavenly. Coffee is good and the staff was really friendly and efficient. :-)

Discovered this spot on our second last day in Granada and went back the next day before we left because it was so good! Great smoothies to start your day! So good that I didn't get a chance to try their coffee but will definitely come back the next time I'm in Granada. The tomato toast is perfect, too! Great vegan breakfast that is super satisfying.

  • 5/5 Ingrid M. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely place to have a meal. Wonderful for vegans, with homemade vegan cakes, and lots of choices of sandwich fillings. The food was delicious and the staff incredibly helpful and friendly

  • 5/5 Jennifer R. 1 year ago on Google
This place is perfect! Take the recommendations of the baristas. Vegan gluten free carrot cake was tasty, and ham and cheese toast was the best! They have almond, oat and soy milk too!

  • 4/5 Goooneralia 1 year ago on Google
Nice coffee, not too strong, we got the cappuccino and flat white both with normal milk and no sugar added. There a couple of seats inside but none outside. However just around the corner u can find a couple of benches to sit on.

  • 5/5 Josh C. 1 year ago on Google
Coffee was amazing. They serve flat white. Banana Bread was good. Tomato + Avocado + Hummus Half toast is a must. edit: emphasise the toast is superb!

  • 2/5 Roy O. 1 year ago on Google
Weird place mostly full of USAn tourists. You need to carry your drinks and food to your own table (past some stairs), and the food really isn't that good (e.g. a tiny croissant like the ones you buy in a supermarket). The drinks were okay, but it's a shame that this is one of the few breakfast places open before 10:30, as having breakfast here isn't advisable.
