Best place to grab a bite to eat in Guanajuato! They have great variety and selections! The food is delicious at a great price!
Given its historical significance, it is always a must see when in Guanajuato. The locals come here for the cheap, but delicious, food called "comida corrida". If you're not the adventurous type with food, it's a perfect place for trinquetes and souvenirs. This place is definitely visually stimulating and photographs well
My favorite place in Guanajuato! Come where to get a banana, eat a torta or buy some souvenirs. The prices were all excellent but be sure to shop around!
Love this market! Daily my daughter and I would walk down into the city center from Panoramica. This place is abuzz! The prices and selection was great. One day we went all out to replenish the coffers of the family we were staying with: avocados, mangoes, oranges, persimmons, limes, tomatoes, papayas... Under $20!
This is a huge market for of all sorts of handmade goods and incredible food. Purses to ashtrays to sweets and fresh meat, pretty much a one stop shop. Carnitas galore and micheladas! Clothes and basic groceries. Clean place to shop and meet some friendly people.
Like many businesses this place essentially closes during midday break. Eating counters remain open but have limited space. A couple grocers and a baked goods alcove also remain open but the baked goods are depleted during the break. Outside, a few businesses remain open in the immediate area. Things do slow down and it is a good time to walk around in the area to encounter less noise and traffic. This is a small market considering the size of Leon but it retains its authentic atmosphere.
Great place to find food or cool gifts to take home, kinda messy but still a cool place, a lot of store within the market, the entrace has an amazing architecture, you cant pass the opportunity to take a few pics.
