It was absolutely a hidden jewel, you would never expected to have a sandy beach in the valley of the park, under the towering cliffs and domes, yes, here it was! I have been to Yosemite NP a dozen times in the last 30 years, and it was my first time to venture into the Cathedral Beach, partly because most people were in awe by the two iconic symbols El Capitan and Half Dome, Cathedral was less popular than the other two. I was so glad to check out the beach this time! Cheers!

Amazing site to bring your table and chairs on a huge flat area that's secluded. My nephew did a wedding photo shoot here and it's just as beautiful as it was in the pictures. There's a stream that runs along it as well... great views..

Nice acces to Merced river. Great for a picnic, play around, taking pics, skipping rocks just getting wet during summer. Restrooms available.

Beautiful! Nice clearing from the trees. Parking isn't the best but you should be able to pull up. I got a little reception near the water while taking photos as well.

Ahhh, Cathedral Beach! Slow moving stream, regal El Capitan in the background and breakfast with family before other groups arrive. Nothing better!
