πŸ‘πŸ‘ It was absolutely a hidden jewel, you would never expected to have a sandy beach in the valley of the park, under the towering cliffs and domes, yes, here it was! I have been to Yosemite NP a dozen times in the last 30 years, and it was my first time to venture into the Cathedral Beach, partly becau...

Tenaya Lake
Scenic spot
πŸ‘πŸ‘ Amazing lake. Crystal clear, cool water and cool Sierra weather to escape the valley heat in the summer. Lots of shallow areas to wade out into for kids. Lots of trees to shade you, if needed. Unfortunately, when I was there I witnessed a guys go in completely nude, scrub his front and back parts l...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ This is a very nice place to go camping. We rented 3 spots next to each other on the D Loop spot. This place has a water spout and an electric hook up. There's a marina here that wasn't opened. There's cabins that can be rented. There was also a playground for the kids. There are bathrooms with show...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Absolutely beautiful bike park that was built by cyclists for cyclists! Lots of trails, fire road, single track, and some jumps. It is at Lake McClure, and the only access is through the campground (,Pay to enter the campground), but it is worth the trip! Be TOTALLY SELF SUFFICIENT! The only store t...

Hornitos Park
Park
πŸ‘πŸ‘ We love stopping at Hornitos Park on our drives through the foothills for a picnic. There are covered picnic tables, a nice grassy area, a large play structure, a basketball hoop, and clean restrooms! It is also fenced all the way around. It’s the perfect picnic spot as far as comfort goes.

😐 The only surviving tunnel tree in Mariposa Grove. It is really painful to see how these trees were mutilated for the enjoyment of tourists who wouldn't get out of their cars.

Hite Cove Trail
Hiking area
πŸ‘πŸ‘ Hite Cove Trail is all about spring wild flowers. The trailhead is located by the side of highway 140, right after the Yosemite Redbud Lodge. Just remember it is about 1 mile after you cross the one lane bridge with traffic light. You need to park on the other side of Redbug Lodge Hotel, which can...

El CapitΓ‘n image

El CapitΓ‘n
Tourist attraction
πŸ‘πŸ‘ Incredible formation seen from below or Tunnel View. Hiking all the way up top is a little unrewarding, as the rim gradually gets steeper towards the edge there's no real way of looking down into the valley. The view from the top is not as spectacular as Eagles Peak, Half Dome or Glacier Point.
