Entrance looks closed but it’s opened. You can get in. Customer service awful at the beginning. The woman at the counter was so rude in her way of speaking. This is definitely not a job for her if she cannot stand customers. However food looks pretty and tastes good. The other waitresses were professional. And I was glad to be served by them. They deserved tips. Really not the one at the counter doing the cashier. May come back for another try.

Second time coming here. Such a cute spot to go for brunch. This time around I had the pancakes and it was delicious. Fluffy, with a tart and sweet topping. Chicken and waffles were delicious. The chicken was seasoned well with a crunchy outside. Little sad my beverage wasn’t instagram worthy after seeing all the nice posts others had. I’ll come again!! Service was great. Friendly staff.

Food is fresh and tasty. I had the smoked salmon salad ($12) and portion is generous. The balsamic dressing is just the right amount, and not too sour. It makes the whole dish very balanced. The matcha latte is not sweet at all. I’d prefer it to be sweeter so if I order next time I’ll probably ask for some sugar. The chairs are not comfy at all for a cafe. Not relaxing so one star deducted for that. Washroom is clean. Parking can be limited.

Came today at 12pm and waited 2hrs to be seated. After ordered food and drinks, waited another 1hr for our water to be served. Worst experience ever. Food not good either. Benedict egg not poached, scrambled egg also dry

Overall, the Alchemy cafe is a great place for coffee and breakfast. The staff are friendly and service is good, although lines can get quite long during busy times. The food is modern and tasty, making it a great choice for those looking for a quick and delicious meal. Their espressos are very good. The chai tea is also very tasty. I recommend getting the breakfast sandwich. It is very filling and has a great flavor. The service is prompt and the staff is friendly.

Grabbed some espresso based coffee beverages to go. Everything is made to order with legit commercial coffee equipment. The drink was nice and bold. It's really nice to wake up to coffee like this. The food looked really good, so I will give it a try next time.

This is a good breakfast/brunch spot! The menu is simple and not too expensive. We ordered smoked Salmon Benny, Egg sandwich with Sausage on the side. For drinks we got Americano and Vanilla Steamer. The service was good and we left the place with full stomach and happy heart. Will definitely come back here another time. If you are a large group just call before coming, since the seating area is limited.

The food here was good but I found the service a little strange. Food was dropped off with no check ins and I had to go back up to the counter twice to ask for condiments and such. They’ve got a lot of variety on the menu so it’s a good spot if you’re looking for a unique twist to your average brunch items.

This is super cozy place for a brunch and coffee. Tried their Duck and waffle, smoked salmon benedict , hojicha latte and a flat white. Everything taste super good and taste like a real chef cooking all of this. One cons is that their food price is on a higher end but does worth the price

My group of 3 was seated at the high table quickly around noon on a Sunday. The cafe is small, and I wish the stools had backs to hang my jacket on. I ordered the $19.50 chicken and waffles, which was delicious. The 3 chicken drumsticks were large and tender with crispy skin. The waffles were on the crispier side but still soft in the inside. I like that it came with a decent salad to balance out the dish. I also had a $5.25 matcha tea latte, which was smooth and sweet. I tried the pork belly as well, which was fatty but delicious. Would return for the chicken and waffles again if it's not too busy!

Absolutely delightful! This charming café offers a cozy ambiance and an impressive menu. I had the pleasure of trying their Duck and Waffle, along with the mouthwatering Smoked Salmon Benedict. The coffee options were fantastic too, with a special mention for the Hojicha Latte. The staff was friendly and efficient, ensuring a delightful experience. If you're a pancake lover, don't miss their Buttermilk Pancakes with Blueberry Sauce – they're a must-try! Whether you're here for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, you'll leave with a full stomach and a happy heart. I can't wait to return for another memorable meal.

We came in and got a table right away on a busy Saturday afternoon, the food came so fast and the service was amazing. We had mocha, matcha, chicken waffles and duck Benny - everything was super delicious! Great brunch place, will definitely come back!

Cute breakfast spot in Markham/ Unionville! Very small space. Food was good. My friend and I ordered the salmon Benny and shared the pancakes. The Benedicts came out cold on non-toasted English muffins. We flagged it to a server and the chef quickly re-fired two new plates. The pancakes are served with a very small portion of a condensed milk based sauce. In my opinion, it’s a brunch spot where you want to get in and out, enjoy great food quickly but don’t expect to linger too long. The setting, although quaint, is not very cozy/ comfortable particularly when it is busy/ packed. Service was excellent!

Very satisfying meal for a brunch that was beautifully presented. It's so fulfilling and flavourful!! I for sure enjoyed every single bite!!The salad is made fantastically simple and very healthy. This is a small local restaurant with great service, food, and overall experience! Definitely a go-to place if you are looking for a chill atmosphere.

We were checking where to have breakfast and we found this in google map, photos looked good so we came here. We ordered the Salmon Egg Benny, Steak and Egg, Hojicha Latte, and Flat White. We were amazed how good the food was in both presentation and taste. The smoked salmon and egg benny didn’t give the same bloated feeling of other ones in other places. Normally side potatoes are crispy on the skin but soft on the cut side, however it’s all crispy here on all side it’s a lot more tasty. The steak & egg were in perfect balance of taste, it didn’t give me a shock of black pepper nor salt, it gave me signals of enjoying it slowly. The drinks helped refresh on every bite of the food. And the price was reasonable. The place is very quiet for small group chat or comfy for studying there. They have free wifi and almost a power outlet per chair as long as your chair is next to the wall. Very stylist renovation. Finally the staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. Fresh brewed coffee was only $2.45, it made those big brand name coffee shops that start with “S”, which charges $4+ for a small coffee, an reachable choice. Highly recommend here, and we will definitely go back again.

I was in Richmond hill and thought to have a brunch and came to know about this place. It’s a small nice and cozy restaurant, coffee with a slight drizzle perfectly sets the day. We ordered for pasta carbonara and sausage eggs Benny. Well, sausage had slightly different taste. I sensed some coriander and slight spices which is very different to all other sausages, it’s there house special. Carbonara was good enough, bacon and parmezaan did blend pretty well and tasted delicious. Overall,it was a good morning experience, people should try this place and please do try other options and share your experience.

First time at Alchemy Coffee and we ordered the Duck Eggs Benny and the Sausage Eggs Benny. Both meals were made well and super tasty. The service good and pretty quick. It appears they’re usually busy however we lucked out without making reservations on a weekend. Definitely would recommend this spot!

Alchemy Coffee offers a decent atmosphere, though the seating is a bit tight. However, the coffee quality more than makes up for it. The baristas are skilled at latte art, adding a special touch to each cup. Their La Marzocco espresso machine, one of the best in the market, is impressive. The coffee beans they use are also top-notch, contributing to the excellent flavor of the coffee. Great place for coffee enthusiasts!

We ordered the duck confit Benny and French toast. Both were tasty and we had pretty quick service. We were lucky to get a table on a Saturday morning without a reservation as it was pretty full already. Definitely recommend!

Let's start with their services. It is very good everytime I visit them. Parking can be a challenge but is not so bad. Restaurant is small so a bit of a wait during lunch hour is expected Food is a bit subjective here...... You have to like their style to like it.... For me is ok..... Their carbonara is good. Their coffee is ok It is a small place so I feel like just eat and leave. Overall is ok.

Absolutely loved the food here! Service was friendly and atmosphere was lively as it was super busy. We ordered the chicken and waffle and duck benny. Perfectly cooked, fresh and just delicious. Would love to come back and try more items on the menu! 😁

Super packed here on a Sat. Service is pretty good but space in here is very limited. Feels like you need to quickly eat and leave. I didn’t really like the Sausage Benny as the flavour was a bit on the heavier side with lots of funnel seeds. I like their latte, just perfectly made. My daughter enjoyed her chicken waffle & hot chocolate. She loved the side salad so much that we ordered an extra plate for her to eat. She finished it all!

Brunch date with the hubby yesterday. I had chicken and waffles with a latte (oat milk) and he had brioche French toast with Earl Grey tea. Service was fast. The food was well prepared and plentiful. The chicken was so crispy and juicy, the waffles light and crisp. Yum. Brioche French toast was yummy - served with soups vide apples and bacon. Give them a try. I only wish they took reservations.

This place is a cute little cafe. I went over the weekend and it was packed but we still got a place quickly. Their coffees are great but I loved their buttermilk pancakes with blueberry sauce. They were delicious. It’s a must try for pancake lovers. Their breakfast sandwich was good too. Staff is super friendly and accommodating.

This place is hands down the best brunch place in the area - especially for the price. The egg’s Benedict is amazing and extremely filling. The service was really quick, courteous, and welcoming. My only criticisms aren’t any about the food - so this place is 5/5 The waiting time is kind of long & they don’t allow for call in reservations - and the venue is really small, especially because they seem really popular. Recommendations: Shrimp Benny & the French toast

We went on Tuesday 1100, not crowded. The food was very tasty and the staff is friendly. Duck Benny was very impressive and the steak cooked just what I like. Will definitely come back.

Cute little cafe with delicious brunch items. Menu was just the right size. I had the chicken and wafffles and they were good. The chicken was well seasoned and the waffles were a little overdone. My partner had the steak and he enjoyed that as well. Steak was a little over cooked and a bit burnt to be honest. Quantity of food was definitely worth the money. Service was ok he did not check on us until after our meals were done.

Came here for brunch on a Saturday. It was pretty full but we got seats at the high table/"bar" area. It did feel a bit cramped, but definitely manageable. We ordered the peameal bacon egg benny and salmon egg benny, both were very good! The salad and potatoes on the side went well with the mains. We also got a flat white and latte - again both were tasty and got us going in the morning. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back to try other items.

I was looking for coffee but found so much more! A charming place with friendly and efficient service and an excellent breakfast sandwich. All the dishes coming from the kitchen looked fabulous. And the coffee was good too!

The main reason that I gave 4 stars because I went there three times, and still told me that I needed to wait 70-90 mins for a table. Well, it meant that the food must be very tasty for so long the line up! So, this time, we decided to order take out and ate in the parking lot (to make sure that the food was hot enough to serve). We ordered Carbonara and Fried chicken with waffles. Carbonara: it tasted really good, but the spaghetti was a but overcooked and not Al dente! This was quite disappointed. Plus the take out did not look very appealing, it may look better if garnish with some greens on top. Fried chicken with waffles, this was good in presentation even for take out. The salad was good with their house dressing, the chili maple syrup, I could not tell if there was any chili sauce there. The coating for the fried chicken was a bit too thick, and quite salty overall. And also a but overcooked that they were not very juicy enough.

Tiny place, terrible parking. But wow the food is AMAZING. Will most definitely return. Best restaurant in Markham, IMHO. You'd have to go downtown to find this level of flavor/quality.

Lovely place for brunch and coffee. The chicken and waffles we ordered is quite delicious. Loved the crunchiness of the chicken and the portion was huge. The Duck Benny however was a bit disappointed. The egg was overdone and the duck was dry. We looked forward to try other items next time.

Really delicious chicken and waffle served in a hip interior. The place is really small and gets packed. Our party of four sat on the high chairs which was not the most ideal way to catch up, as we were facing the wall. Cross your fingers and hope that you can get an actual table! I enjoyed every component of the food itself. I would come here again - I’d just avoid peak hour!

A random google search and visit. But what a nice surprise was this place. We had a cappuccino and a peach and cream latte. The peach and cream latte in particular was such a relaxing drink. The breakfast sandwich was great as well. I didn’t catch the name of the server but he has such a nice personality and made us feel welcome. Will be coming back. :)

Fresh toasts are delicious and different than other eateries. Unless you love spiciness, the sausages came with the Benny were way to spicy. I can't even taste the meat. Coffee is absolutely smooth. Worth waiting for the seats.

Great twists on classic brunch and smooth coffee in a small intimate restaurant. Found this place when looking for a quick brunch spot in Markham. It is quite small and can fill up fairly quickly so I recommend to come a bit earlier. With that said they do have a few tables and a bar seating area. The coffee is delicious and I recommend this as your starter you won't be disappointed. I was craving a sweet breakfast and opted for the French Toast and the first thing I will say is how soft and fresh they were. I also appreciated the subtle twist in adding parmesan flakes and using a lime infused maple syrup. It was a savory twist on something that was sweet. The only negative thing I will say is that for how large the plate was I only got 3 small slices of the sous vide apple. My partner ordered the Eggs Benny and the richness and surprisingly cheesy hollandaise was a perfect start to the day.

Great little coffee shop with nice brunch options as well. Coffee, tea, chicken waffles or pasta, whatever floats your morning boat. The only thing is there is limited parking and it's a bit of a hassle to get into the plaza. Overall great service, good food.

  • 2/5 Mohamed H. 2 years ago on Google
Small dining area, limited menu. I had the pancakes - 4.5-5.5/10 pretty dry, condensed milk was also poor quality. Even tasted some grease/bacon in my pancake which is obviously unacceptable given that I can’t eat pork. Friends ordered eggs Benny, soggy muffins and salad is simply spring mix with minimal dressing/flavor. Aesthetic food but no bang and definitely not for the buck. 4-5/10, likely better off going to Cora’s or Eggsmart.
