Pauls lack of professionalism and disrespect towards the customers is disheartening. The way he interacts with members is far from welcoming or supportive. His condescending attitude and dismissive behavior towards inquiries or concerns have created an atmosphere that is anything but encouraging. It is essential for a gym owner to foster a sense of community and motivate individuals to achieve their fitness goals, but Paul’s actions have done the complete opposite. Secondly, the exorbitant fees and constant changes to membership plans are a clear indication of Anytime Fitnesses profit-driven motives. It is evident that their primary concern lies in maximizing their revenue rather than ensuring the satisfaction and well-being of their customers. This approach not only undermines the trust between a gym and its members but also sends a message that your customers are mere sources of income rather than individuals pursuing a healthy lifestyle. As someone who used to As someone who used to find solace and inspiration in the gym, it saddens me to say that Paul’s actions have effectively extinguished my passion for this hobby. It is my hope that the owner will man up and take these concerns seriously and take immediate steps to rectify the issues I have highlighted (Paul). A gym should be a place where people can better themselves physically and mentally, and it is your responsibility as the owner to create an environment that facilitates that. If i could give lower then a 1 star I definitely would paul is the most rude, unprofessional, discourteous, inconsiderate and thoughtless seems like to me they are only looking at how much goes in to there pockets

I wouldn’t recommend joining a membership at this location, Paul is the least friendly I have seen at any gym. We came to check out the gym but all we get is being lectured on and telling us about his rules and getting email warning and being surveillance by his CCTV, rather than actually getting to know the place. He will treat You like a 5 yr old. I get he is trying to manage the place but the way he is treating customers or prospects is no where tolerable. Unless you want to be told every move you make while working out you take your money somewhere else.

Terrible..... I absolutely do not like this gym in general, they are apart of the LA fitness in USA but their policies do not allow bring ONE guess. They almost charged me for bringing my sister in. We HAD to do a contract they do not do monthly gym access. When we referred others to come to this gym we were never given our 1-2 weeks free of charge. They said they add these weeks at the END of the contract.... The contract day comes, access was denied.. We immediately wanted to cancel the plan and they said that it has been cancelled it does not return on it's own... WRONG.. they did. I came back from a 3 month trip away from Ontario and come back to my invoices with withdrawals from mine and my husbands account... RIDICULOUS... we never got our money back until MONTHS later... If I can give this a ZERO I would.

not sure why this location is still open and i am sure all the positive reviews are either their friends or straight up paid SEO! we had an interaction with Alex Khouri who threatened and intimidated my son and my husband counting on his body mass to scare them. We cancelled the membership, and i agreed to pay $250 cancellation fees (which they don't deserve but i really want to get this over and done with) their GM has been emailing me to either volunteer my credit card information over their unsecured phone line or to go there (where we got threatened and intimidated by the owner) and make the payment. any legitimate business or professional staff will accept wire transfers or cheques but this place neither legitimate nor has a professional staff. For any one who has a similar issue regarding their membership cancelation you can report to the better business bureau or the ministry of government and consumer services for free and they will make things right. For all others, don't even consider this location and RUN.. there are plenty other decent gyms in Markham and this one is not of them.

I have no idea why people are putting bad reviews. This is by far the cleanest anytime fitness I have ever been to… ten times better than any Ottawa location. Paul is super welcoming and very thorough. Maybe the newbies to gym etiquette are putting bad reviews? Educate yourselves please. Amazing gym and staff - for the quality of the franchise that is.

I joined when this gym 1st opened in the area. So I know the owner and staff well. Alex the owner and the people he leaves in charge like Paul are AMAZING! and always welcoming . If there are any issues the take care of it immediately . i'm all about Value for my $$$$ I work hard for it so I like to spend it wisely, No regrets here. like the other reviewer said there is no reason really for bad reviews here . if there was i would not still be a member AND I STILL AM. Great atmosphere, always clean especially the bathrooms and showers and all the trainers are amazing they dont push push you on additional service and they are alway there to help and show you how to use equipment if your not sure how too, there always there when you need them, WHAT ARE YOU WAITTING FOR SIGHN UP. I've been going to this gym for about 6 months now and it's by far the most well-kept gym I've ever been to. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. James, the manager, is very friendly and makes an effort to greet and get to know the members of the gym. In terms of the environment -- the staff really set the tone here; they constantly survey the area looking for misplaced weights. The members really seem to mimic this, which is great. I've never had an issue finding weights when I need them. If you're looking for a clean gym, tons of new equipment that's well maintained, friendly and knowledgeable staff; this is the spot. (Didn't mean to make this sound like an essay, but this place is legit)

I have been going to this specific location for almost 5 years now. The staff and the owner are friendly and knowledgeable. They are always accommodating and try to assist you to the best of their abilities. Location is always clean and ultimately they take of their equipment. This gym feels like a community where everybody gets along whether it is the staff members or anytime members. I recommend this gym to anybody, anytime! It is truly a great place to work out at!

The gym is clean and well maintained. Yes there are rules which the gym is up front about. If you are ok with that join. If not go elsewhere.

You can literally eat off the floor there Paul keeps the place so clean wonderful to talk too and last but not least Mark is probably the best trainer I’ve met very social positive attitude and thanks for the amazing espressos you guys are top notch !!! Alex you have good workers !!!!!!

The personal trainer Alex Khouri is extremely unfriendly. Like I don’t know why anytime fitness will hire someone like him. He used his “big muscle” to scare people and threatening us. I won’t recommend anyone join this club because of this. TRUST ME! This guy is shame of this community and SAVAGE is the best word to describe him. Please go back to school if you see this Message, your mom is crying because of you for being a bad boy.

My favourite part of the gym is definitely the staff. Paul & Marc are great, always super nice and welcoming. Although the gym is on the smaller side, it still has everything I need to get in a good workout. It's usually pretty empty if you go during the day, a bit busier after 5pm but manageable.

Anytime fitness has been awesome to me. Their trainers are amazing, the overall vibe is great. Clean gym and lots of equipment to use. A friendly face greeting you when you come in and walking out. Highly recommend checking this gym out!

Anytime fitness is a great place to have a great workout. The staff are friendly and helpful to everyone who is a member of Anytime. Paul is a kind and courteous individual which he makes me and other members of Anytime Fitness feel welcomed to his establishment. That said, I would like to address some of the negative reviews that this establishment had received. This is very disheartening that these people want to give a negative review in order to cripple one’s business. Let’s not forget that the whole country was in lockdown due to Covid and let’s not forget that many businesses had suffered financially because of covid and I can not understand why people write bad reviews!!??? Why? Finally, if you want to experience a positive environment, great staff, and all of the services that this gym has to offer, take the time to come visit and speak to the staff. You will not be disappointed!!

A very intimating atmosphere due to management. However, other members are quite friendly and will help you if you need advice. Management/ staff isn’t the best tho.

The location was clean, the equipment in great shape, and appeared to have very few people there while working out allowing easy access to most anything there. The staff, more specifically Raymond, were courteous and professional, and I will be seeking this location out in the future during my travels.

This has been my home gym for about 4 and a half years now. Can't say enough good things about the place and its fantastic staff. JD, James, Lionel and of course Alex too. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating - the whole 9 yards. You can't go wrong with this location! Compared to other anytime locations in the area, this is clearly a step ahead!

Been going to this gym for nine months, I love working out here. The atmosphere is great, it's like a community where you can enjoy a good workout and keep each other motivated. The gym is clean and tidy, equipment is well-maintained. Trainers and staff have been friendly and helpful. My overall experience at this gym is positive and am happy to be a member. :]

The gym is by far the best maintained and cleaned compared to others in Markham and surrounding area. The employees and owner are extremely professional when dealing with members. They are also very personable.

This place is chaos in the evening around new years, but all gyms are so. This place is average or less cuz its a small gym. The staff is good though.

It’s an ok gym, it has everything you need. I don’t love their bars and weights, they’re wiggly. Grocery store next door that I shop in after workout. Very convenient.

I’ve been going to this gym for quite a few years and it’s always been great. Scott, Paul , Mark, Sandy and the rest of the team are amazing. The atmosphere is always friendly and feels good.The gym has great equipment , always in working order which is really important. It is always very clean and organized as well as safe. I love the fact that I can go anytime that works with my schedule not there’s . You should look them up, they have great services which I have participated in most and I’ve always been very satisfied and happy with my experiences. Fabulous community gym, try it, you won’t be disappointed!!
